It is assumed that the mass fraction of the GNPs is functionally graded (FG) along thickness and length directions according to different dispersion patterns. Modeling of the shell is done using the first-order shear deformation theory (FSDT), the mechanical properties are computed according to the Halpin-Tsai model alongside the rule of the mixture, and the aerodynamic pressure is computed utilizing the piston theory. Utilizing Hamilton’s principle, the boundary conditions and the governing equations are achieved. Harmonic trigonometric functions are used to provide an analytical solution in the circumferential direction and an approximate solution is presented in the meridional direction using the differential quadrature method (DQM). The efficacy of various parameters on the aeroelastic stability are discussed such as the percentage and dispersion pattern of the GNPs and gradient indices. It is observed that to achieve higher aeroelastic stability in the GNP-enriched truncated conical shells, it is better to dispense the GNPs near the small radius and the inner surface of the shell. Fiber composites are strong sheets, which are subjected to impact loads, to reduce the damage of the impact using hard resins. In this research, low-speed bullet impact to six beams with FGM layering whose modulus of elasticity in the beam thickness varies from ceramic to metal and the response of the beams to low velocity impact has been investigated by finite element method using Abacus software. The strain, displacement and tension of the beam have been analyzed in two modes of the last layer of the metal and ceramic – metal. A comparison of displacement, tension and strain diagrams along the length of the beam for the six beams has been made. It was observed that the higher the properties of the metal than the ceramic, the higher the amount of displacement and tension and the strain in the beam decreased with increasing degree of ceramic properties compared to the metal. The coatings chemical composition and morphology were investigated using energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX), scanning electron microscope (SEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) methods. The results showed in HA/TiO2 functionally graded coating, the composition varied from inner layer to top layer as 100 %wt TiO2 to 100 %wt HA. To investigation biocompatibility of the coatings, the culture Wharton’s Mesenchymal Stem Cells was used. The results showed the HA/TiO2 functionally graded coating and HA single layer coating were more biocompatible in comparison to TiO2 single layer coating. The adhesion strengths of the coatings were measured by shear testing and the results showed that the HA/TiO2 functionally graded coating has more adhesion strength (~31 MPa) compare to HA single layer. Impact resistance of coatings were measured by ball drop impact test and the results showed that the HA/TiO2 functionally graded coating has more impact resistance compare to HA single layer and HA-TiO2 double layer coatings. The wear resistance of coatings were investigated by pin on disc method. The normal load and sliding distance were 0.5 N and 50 m respectively and the worn surface was observed using scanning electron microscope (SEM) and analyzed by ImageJ software. The results showed that the HA/TiO2 functionally graded coating has more wear resistance compare to HA single layer. Additionally, investigation of worn surface of coatings showed that all of the coatings have abrasive mechanism but wear mechanism for functionally graded coating, changed and delamination was added to abrasive mechanism. Properties of the constituent materials are assumed temperature dependent and functionally graded materials are modelled by a power law rule. Even and uneven porosity distributions are considered to improve the accuracy of the model. Minimum potential energy principle is used to obtain the govern equations and Galerkin method is applied used to solve the equations in a clamped free boundary conditions. Lateral displacement, and thermal stresses of the core and Lagrange strains are considered. To verify the procedure, the results of the present study are compared with the literature. Thickness, length, porosity, wave number and temperature effect on the critical load are investigated too. Manuscript profile
