About the journal
Research in English Language Pedagogy (RELP) is an online, open-access, peer-reviewed academic journal published quarterly by the Islamic Azad University, Isfahan (Khorasgan) Branch, Isfahan, Iran. The journal is dedicated to disseminating reports of the findings of the original and innovative research of conceptual, theoretical, empirical, and practical nature, covering niches and issues related to current trends and topics of pedagogy and practices in the field of teaching and learning of English as an International Language (EIL) or as a Foreign Language (EFL), from either a disciplinary or multi-disciplinary perspective. Providing a medium for informed debate of the principles and practices that determine how English is learned and taught nationally or internationally, RELP seeks to provide a forum for members of the profession worldwide, including (but not limited to) scholars, faculties, practitioners, and professionals to exchange knowledge in the form of empirical and theoretical research papers and review papers (systematical reviews, meta-analysis, and book reviews).
RELP assumes that the submitted papers have not previously been published and are not being considered for publication elsewhere. The journal rigorously adheres to the standards and guidelines set forth by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), particularly regarding misconduct, fraud, and plagiarism, as well as the procedures for addressing these issues. RELP strictly follows a Zero Tolerance Policy on Plagiarism. We recommend that authors check their papers for plagiarism using plagiarism prevention tools (such as iThenticate.com or Turnitin.com) before submitting them to RELP. After initial editor screening, all papers undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process. RELP does not charge authors for the reviewing process of their papers; however, a publication charge of approximately $15 per paper applies. Authors must transfer the copyright to RELP by signing the copyright form and submitting it with the main manuscript.
Initially born in 2010 under the name Iranian Journal of Research in English Language Teaching, the journal has continued its academic life as Research in English Language Pedagogy (RELP) since 2017.
