In contemporary cities, quantitative and qualitative problems have been increasing unprecedentedly. Cities as the most complex man-made structure are facing with a wide variety of risks and numerous vulnerabilities. Disasters, whether caused by humans or nature, impose significant threats to sustainability. Specifically natural disasters and its impacts on the environment can lead to catastrophes that are often irreversible. Earthquake is one of the major unpleasant natural tragedies which unfortunately produces a huge destruction in a very short period of time and as a result so many suffering and devastation appears in the cities. Resiliency as an emerging concept in urban development, is a new approach to design flexible cities to confront shocks and vibrations that provides vulnerability reduction in cities against the stress and shocks. In fact, Resilience has become an important goal for cities particularly in the face of earthquakes. This concept which was adapted from ecological sciences, imagines cities like living organisms which in face of a variety of stresses, should be released or otherwise it fails and the system breaks down. Furthermore, Main urban structure of a city is an important factor in organized cities on the ground that recognition of it will help urban planners and designers to plan networks, main elements and spaces for cities. Urban structure is composed of sets of main axis and interconnected networks of land-use and various and different urban elements that cause integrity in a city. This structure extends its components in whole of a city and it is a basis for cities spatial-physical organization. It represents the cities general characteristics. Due to the fact that size of city, complexity and multiple issues, urban planners and designers can concentrate on urban structure instead of focusing on all of components in a city and it can helps them to find solutions more easily. This paper aims to re-examine the characteristic of urban main structure and its relationship with resiliency against natural disasters like earthquakes. Community actions in cities are always affected by urban form and structures. Physical structures of cities have drastic effects on the occurring of phenomena and community reaction. It should be regarded as an important point in the face of disasters like an earthquake. The main questions of the paper are: what is the urban structure and what are its dimensions? Is there any relationship between urban structure and changing the level of resiliency against earthquakes in cities? Therefore, urban structure and its dimensions should be surveyed. In the first step, this research aims to explain urban structure and its important dimensions based on expert's opinions. In the second step, resiliency definitions in different domains are investigated. Next, different type of resiliency conceptual patterns which are engineering, multi-equilibria and ecological are explained, and the most appropriate one for cities are selected in connection with urban structure. Finally, the relationship between the urban structure and the level of resiliency on it will be investigated and it shows that it’s possible to enhance the resilience of cities through design or redesigning urban structures. Manuscript profile

Cities as the most complex human-made manifestations face a wide range of risks due to a wide range of hazards and multiple vulnerabilities.Natural disasters have always been a major challenge in achieving sustainable development of human societies. As a result, ways to achieve this development have become necessary through vulnerability reduction models. Today, disaster management and sustainable development perspectives and perspectives seek to create resilient societies against natural hazards. Hence, according to many researchers, resilience is one of the most important issues for achieving sustainability. Resilience is a way to strengthen societies by using its capacities, and different definitions, approaches, indicators, and measurement models have been developed. The view that has existed in disaster management and urban management has long been the focus of coping and mitigation. In the meantime, the concept of resilience is a new concept that is used more in the face of unknowns and uncertainties. It can be said that the domain of literature on hazards and disruptions has changed in a paradigm shift from (hazard assessment) to (vulnerability analysis). It can be understood that the system can absorb and manage risks ). The framework for the Hyogo plan was approved by the United Nations International Strategy for Disaster Reduction (UNISDR) on January 22, 2005, which is a positive move in this regard. This research is aimed at: the attempt to explain the components and characteristics of resilient constructivism and to determine the contribution of factors affecting the resilience strengthening, Emphasis on recognition of different levels of resilience of individuals and groups of society, efforts to provide solutions to reduce the natural disasters of earthquakes in urban areas.Considering the study and explanation of the relationship between urban community resilience to reduce the effects of natural disasters, especially earthquakes, in order to better understand the resilience dimensions and strategies for risk reduction policies, the four dimensions of the resiliency approach have been investigated. The purpose of this study was to analyze Indicators and resiliency measures, explanation of different models of resilient measurements, survey of resilience of Mashhad 9th district in accordance with selected indicators in resiliency. 9 area of Mashhad municipality in terms of accumulation of main branch faults Mashhad is of high importance in terms of crisis. Therefore, after analyzing the indices in the field of resonance and measuring these indices in the region and comparing them with the optimum level, the numerical value of the area's resilience was calculated using the average distance of the optimal range. In this The three dimensions of social, economic, and spatial dimensions were studied and the numerical values of the IIF, DSF and URF indices were calculated. Finally, the numerical value of the resilience of the area was 0.89, which shows a rather resilient state. Given the degree of resilience The weaknesses in the area were studied in the indexes and crisis in the economic dimension was strongly observed. At the end, suggestions are also given to maintain and improve desirable indicators and to improve desirable indices. Manuscript profile

The Urban River Valleys are not only the interface between the city and nature, but they are also essential spatial places that carry urban context, local life, and other environmental characteristics. As a result, the design of urban river Valleys is one of the most important strategies for promoting urban ecological systems, protecting socio-economic benefits, and increasing aesthetic values. This paper proposes the resilience concept to address the problem of natural hazards at the River Valleys while maintaining the environment's qualities. For this purpose, the focus is on applying the physical dimension of resiliency for presenting design qualities and indicators by studying the expected roles and qualities of urban rivers and the concept of resiliency. So at first, the Resilient Urban River Valleys Conceptual Framework has been codified, and dimensions, Components, and criteria of resilient River Valley design are proposed. In the next step, This Conceptual Framework is used to examine the quality of Tehran's Kan River Valley s Public Space using a SWOT matrix and develop design goals and strategies. Finally, this study stands on the notion that a place's resilience not only embraces formulating an immediate response to crises such as floods but also considers long-term mitigation and adaptation strategies and environmental qualities to face environmental challenges. In this perspective, reconnecting the community with the river through creating a favorable public space and using the natural potential of the rivers to confront the hazards is necessary. Background and Objective: Looking at the long history (at least ten thousand years) of human settlement, we can realize that urban environments in their current shape and form can be considered a relatively new phenomenon. Despite covering a small area of the earth’s surface, urban environments house the majority of human population. The man is always faced with natural and man-made disasters and crises. Although it is not possible to avoid crisis, but its damage can be reduced by proper design. Thus, evaluation of urban resilience is one of the crucial factors to gurd the city against the natural and man-made disasters. Increase of the resilience of cities can minimize the damage caused by natural disaster. The importance of this issue is as high as some have referred to it as a new paradigm in urban evolution. Method: In this study, it has been attempted to use a deductive approach with a systematic approach. Findings: Numerous studies have been carried out to determine the relation of resilience dimensions and components with the urban land use. In the end, several dimensions and criteria considered more prominent by the experts (specialized in the field of environmental planning, urban planning, and geography) have been proposed for the concept of land use resilience Discussion and Conclusion: It has been attempted to determine both diminition and resiliency of urban lands criteria and also sustainable development approach though applying inductive approaches with system concept. Finally, by drawing the related conceptual model, effective steps will be made for reduction of vulnerabilties and improving cities and their systems. Manuscript profile

The microgrid inertia as a result of tiny structure and barely tolerance variations, is fairly low. Thus, the maintenance of voltage stability and frequency specifically in islanded mode is extremely demanding. Even if these products have efficient control system, they can’t retain microgrid stability due to the low speed of response in primary sources of energy and communication delays of the links between outer unit and control system in distributed generation. Introducing a structure of fuzzy control arranged with neural network to balance between generation part and consumption part in micro grid is the main purpose of this paper. Using the fuzzy logic, this controller enables flexible operation of microgrids in both network and islanded modes. In the proposed control system, a trainable neural network in different operating conditions is responsible for fine tuning of the fuzzy logic system. Because of the sensitivity of the loads in the microgrid the proposed structure is designed to interact with the storage source in order to increase the response speed to the imbalance between production and consumption. This might prevent excessive voltage and frequency deviation, especially in the severe situations. With this controller, fluctuations in the production of renewable resources quickly compensated without a negative impact on resilience and instability of the microgrid, especially while disconnecting from the main network Manuscript profile

In the short term, chronic diseases such as diabetes by reducing a person's independence and interaction impair his subjective well-being and cause problems. Positive thinking seems to play an important role in helping these patients. In this regard, the present study conducted to determine the mediating role of resilience in the relationship between Positive thinking and subjective well-being of diabetic patients in Bonab County. This study was a descriptive correlational study using structural equation modeling. The statistical population was all active members of Bonab Diabetes Association in 1397. From this population, 500 people selected by simple random sampling. Data collected with the Rashid Positive Psychotherapy Inventory (2008), the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (2003) and the Warwick Edinburgh Subjective Well-being Questionnaire (2007) and were analyzed using SPSS-v25 and LISREL-v8.8 software by structural equation modeling. The results showed that the direct paths from Positive thinking to Subjective well-being (β=0.27, p < 0.05), Positive thinking to resilience (β=0.83, p < 0.01) and resilience to Subjective well-being (β=0.80, p < 0.01) were statistically significant. Indirectly through resilience, Positive thinking also had a positive and significant effect on Subjective well-being (β=0.83, p < 0.01).Due to limitations most be caution exercised, however it seems useful to pay attention to the Positive thinking model in the treatment plan and counseling of diabetic patients. We witness cities high risk taking in recent years as a result of climate changes. Climate changes result in higher temperatures, rising sea levels, severe storms and increased droughts. However, reduced risk and vulnerability were ignored. The research method is survey and its logic is inductive and its most important advantage is interoperability of the obtained results. The SPSS and Lisrel Software are used for data analysis and statistical tests and Arc GIS software were used in order to display spatial maps. In this study, spatial management institutions variable including institutions and stakeholders of Bonab city and surrounding villages management was considered as dependent and endogenous variable was measured and analyzed in thirteen dimensions based on Hyogo vision and Framework. The reduced risks of climate fluctuations were measured and analyzed in six dimensions in order to increase the region's resiliency as exogenous variable. Output calculations based on single-sample t-test (T) indicated that urban- regional management principles were unfavorable in the study area and generally in spatial management dimension. The casual network that is determined by structural equations is 2.32 based on X2 / DF value and since the obtained value is smaller than 3, it shows that the model fitness is appropriate. The root mean square error of approximation (RMSEA) must be less than 0.08 that is equal to 0.063 in the proposed model. GFI (goodness of fit index) and (adjusted goodness of fit index) AGFI indices are equal to 0.91 and 0.90 respectively that must be greater than 0.80. The results of five indices are presented including increased comparative fit, relative fitness, Bentle Bonett normative fit, and Tucker-Lewis fit and comparative fit index based on data goodness of fit and structural model. Every year, many blackouts occur all over the world as a result of natural disasters which cause many economic losses and impose a lot of costs on electricity network in order to restore the network. Therefore, definition of resilience concept and efforts for the resilient performance of power grids intensified. One of the important things in the design of resilient power networks is to provide the required capacity of the system by considering the issue of resilience, which is considered in this paper. Considering the economic reasons, the presence of more capacity providers will create competition and improve the efficiency of the market, so demand-side management resources should also be used in the capacity market. Considering that the stable and efficient presence of demand-side management resources in the capacity market is possible only with the participation of load supplying companies, which are considered retailers in this paper, the parameters affecting their behavior and how they interact with the two market segments (market management and consumers) should be modeled on both sides of the market. Therefore, in this paper, it has been modeled and evaluated how the retailer's participation in the capacity market is and to what extent it can be effective in reducing reliability and resilience costs in the capacity market. It is natural that the retailer's profit in this business should also be calculated and it should be ensured that the retailer will be present in this market with an acceptable profit so that the network will also benefit from his presence. Numerical results have shown that using the retailer as a provider of demand-side resources in the capacity market will reduce outage costs by 1.5%, equivalent to saving $297,638 per year. Meanwhile, the retailer will also benefit from this business on an average of $3716 per day. Manuscript profile

The present study aimed to compare the resiliency, social competence and defense mechanism styles in women with and without ovarian cysts is done. For this purpose, in a causative comparative study, 140 women, aged 18 to 38, who were admitted to Kasra hospital in Tehran with a diagnosis of ovarian cysts and lack of ovarian cysts, were selected through purposive sampling method and evaluated in terms of resiliency, defense mechanism styles and social competence. The result of multivariate analysis of variance demonstrated that there is significant difference between resilience scores in the two groups and that women without ovarian cysts have higher scores than women with ovarian cysts for resiliency. Furthermore, the results determined that among the defense mechanism styles, only for immature defense mechanisms scores there are significant differences between the two groups; women with ovarian cysts use these mechanisms more often than women without ovarian cysts. Additionally, in regards to social support scale, women with ovarian cysts received lower scores that show women without ovarian cysts receive more social support compared to women with ovarian cysts. The results indicate higher prevalence of psychological problems among women with ovarian cysts. It seems that training based on strengthening the resiliency and increasing levels of social competence in women can have preventive values. Manuscript profile
