The present study investigates the extent of creative thinking in students and its relation to academic achievement. To substantiate such an objective, a descriptive – correlative survey design was utilized. The target population comprised all the students studying at Islamic Azad university Khorasgan Branch at various educational levals during 2006-2007 academic year. 250 students were randomly selected using stratified sampling method and sample selection formula. The instrument for collecting the data was Peter Honey`s model of measuring the creative thinking which was modified by the researcher so that certain demographic variables such as sex, parents` level of education, students` average scores, educational level and type of subject area were fitted into it. The data obtained were analyzed and interpreted by both descriptive and inferential statistical techniques. Whereas the former measured frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation values, the latter enlisted dependent t-test, independent t-test, ANOVA, Pearson product moment formula and Tukey test for interpreting the data. The findings revealed that all target students enjoyed creative thinking at an average value. In addition, there was no meaningful relationship between creative thinking on the one hand and sex, parents` level of education, students` average scores and type of subject areas on the other hand. However, the relationship between the students` educational level and creative thinking was significant. The results obtained from Tukey test indicated that there was a meaningful difference for creative thinking between students involved in two-year education and MA/MS students (P=0/021). By contrast, such difference between BA/BS students and MA/MS students was (P=0/002) which was also significant. Overall, it was concluded that creative thinking was higher in MA/MS students compared to the students involved in a two-year education. Manuscript profile

Undoubtedly one of the most important elements of designing and constructing  permanent structures, salient  and unique buildings is based on creativity. Creative thinking is one of the most complex and highest manifestations of human thought that leads to the uniqe architecture buldings. Since classical architecture view includes three areas named as strength, utility and aesthetics (structure, function, form); creativity can appears in all of these three layers. For example, sometimes the architectural structure occurs as the most innovative work, such as Calatrava’s works; and sometimes form may appear as the first and most important factor, such as Gehry and Le Corbusier’s works. Also creative thinking can play a considerable role in case of function, for example sophasticated airports plans can end to complex problems optimized resolving. These three factors can be also seen in a single project. Although a  great deal of psychological studies examine and  emphasis on gender differences in general and particulary  in creativity,  this paper was written about different aspects of creativity in architecture. Finally  with regard to the psychological findings, creativity in women’s designs  was discussed and creative examples of projects which presented by women -with a focus on Zaha Hadid – were introduced.    Manuscript profile

The study aimed to determine the effect of TRIZ (theory of Inventive problem solving) instruction on the creative thinking, scientific thinking, critical thinking and self-efficacy of students under different biorhythms. For this purpose, a sample of 120 female students of Humanities at the Islamic Azad University of Tabriz were randomly selected from among volunteers. Due to decrease in sample size, 116 students participated in the study in six groups including experimental groups 1 and 2, control groups 1 and 2, and placebo groups 1 and 2. The study was a quasi-experimental research with pre-test post-test control group design. The independent variable of the study was TRIZ instruction, the moderate variable was intellectual biorhythm and the dependent variables were creative thinking, critical thinking, scientific thinking, and self-efficacy. The data was gathered through California critical thinking skills questionnaire (1997), Abedi`s (1373) creativity test, Scherer etal.`s (1982) general self-efficacy scale, and Liang etal.`s (2006) scientific thinking questionnaire. The data were analyzed by conducting univariate and multivariate covariance analyses. The results indicated thatteaching TRIZ under high condition of intellectual biorhythm increases creative thinking, critical thinking, scientific thinking and self-efficacy of the students. In other words, while teaching TRIZ leads to an increase in various aspects of thinking and self-efficacy, different Biorhythms (positive or negative) would moderate the results. Manuscript profile

The beginning of cultivating many human abilities starts from childhood, one of the most important of these abilities is creativity, creative thinking and establishing correct social relationships. In recent years, with the growth of the children's population, more attention has been paid to educational spaces. Unfortunately, in Iran, education is still carried out in a traditional way, which not only creates anxiety and tension in children and teenagers, but also causes the loss of creativity. Based on this, the aim of the current research was to design an innovative model of Ardabil Children's Center with an emphasis on creative thinking. The current research method is descriptive-analytical, which includes library studies to achieve the principles and criteria of children's design and architecture. The findings showed that in order to ensure the necessary visibility of the students and also to establish the class, there should not be any columns or building foundations in the classroom space. The height of the classroom is 3 meters in cold regions and 3.20 to 3.50 meters in tropical regions. The width of the board in the classroom is 70.2 to 3.60 meters and the minimum distance between the students and the board is 2.20 meters. Corridors should be designed in such a way that, in addition to the communication feature, a special event happens in it and the feeling of enthusiasm to continue moving and guidance for Find the desired point. Also, the use of ceiling skylights can provide adequate light for the space. In order to avoid the child's contact with the doors and windows that open to the movement paths, these paths should be created at a suitable distance from the walls of the building and avoid placing them in the vicinity of doors and windows.
