The aim of the present research was to determine the professional competency effect on the quality of work life. Research methods were made by descriptive- correlation and statistical population consists of all research experts of the Tehran University (N=281). For determining The sample sizes was used from Cochran formula and 162 persons was selected by using of simple random sampling method as sample. For collect the data of the professional competency research-made questionnaire, with reliability (α=0.94) and Walton’s quality of work life with reliability (α=0.85) were used that their face validity was confirmed by using experts also . To analyze the data from Kolmogorov-Smirnovtest, one sample t-test, Pearson correlation and structural equation modeling was used. The results of one sample t-test showed that the professional competency of the research experts was upper and the quality of work life of they lower of the Expected average. The results of correlation coefficient showed that was a statistical significant as well as positive relation between professional competency and quality of work life (r=0.49, P=0.01) And Based on the results of structural equation modeling the impact of professional competency on quality of work life(γ=0.36) was confirmed
