What is the position of the Fatimid period (297-567 AH) in the history of Islamic civilization?  Although this historical period is considered more or less as an important period in the political and religious history of Islam, but in the studies of Islamic civilization, it is not given a bright and prominent position to it. In fact, focusing on a specific period and territory in the civilization studies, specifically Iraq in the Abbasid era, has overshadowed the significance of other contemporary centers or important sub-civilizations under Islamic civilization, including the civilization of the Fatimids. Therefore, it is necessary to be re-examined and re-explain the relationship between this period and the history of Islamic civilization. To do that, the method of historical explanation with the theoretical-conceptual approach of the pluralism of the centers of civilizations has been used. Due to the adaptation of the Fatimid era to the most important requirements of a civilizational period, such as the establishment of a powerful government as the administrator and provider of community security, a vast political territory, from the Maghrib to the Shām including Hijāz and Yemen, with the centrality of Egypt as a favorable geographical base, as well as an active and productive human society of material and spiritual wealth, we can talk about a period known as Islamic civilization in the Fatimid period. Also, due to the efforts of the Fatimid rulers in upgrading the position of Egypt in terms of culture and civilization in the Islamic period, we can even mention the Civilization of the Fatimid era or the Civilization of the Fatimids. Despite the whole ontological and epistemological paradigms which believethat the Essence and Attributes of God transcends this world andconsequently seek knowledge in metaphysics, Ibn Khaldūn as a TunisianMuslim philosopher and sage, in 8th century A.H., presents an interpretationof Islam religion that accordingly, despite the Divine Essence beingtranscendental, His Attributes as ‘Umrān (civilization) has an eternal processin society and history. Thus “knowledge” and “power” are symbols andfables of truth at society level. So he established a new paradigm by the name of ‘ilm al-‘Umrān (science ofcivilization). Because of Divine Presence and His Everlasting Creation insociety and history, through causes and effects, the paradigm is based onpost-essentialism. In this paradigm, the realm of intellectual activity, isneither mere matter nor absolute and abstract metaphysics, but anindeterminate and moderate realm between material and a supernatural one,in history.Islamic rationality and philosophy lagged behind the history, also the Islamiccivilization lost its fluidity and balance, because of rationality’sconcentration on “imperceptibly metaphysical-spiritual essence”, IbnKhaldūn thought. In this manner, the Islamic civilization was involved instiffness and deterioration. Therefore the Muslim’s material and spiritualimprovement require their epistemological attention to society and history, and at the same time keeping the balanced gap between truth-bestowingsociety and identity-bestowing social cohesion (asabiyya). According to histhought, in Islamic states, religion is the origin of this gap and a moderatelysocial structure. Nevertheless, in his thought development, determining ofruler’s will as the agent of fulfilling religion’s role in society, was replacewith “law” -that is based on intellect and narration. Nasr's standpoint on civilization implies at a new paradigm in defining of it. He maintains that the constitution of all civilization and also their demarcation is based upon the inner culture of every civilization and its dependent nature. So He categorizes all civilizations based on their cultural content into traditional and modern. According to this view, every thing in traditional civilization is based on the relation with the sacred or the spiritual, while human being is secular, independent and autonomous in modern one. Considering this attitude, Islamic civilization is a traditional civilization; according to him, Islam brings forth Islamic civilization; so its fundamentals- prophet, k and faithful Muslim- are constituents of Islamic civilization. Being faithful to traditionalism leads him to regard the university of Islamic civilization and neglect its particulars, however, his opinion hasn't come to neglect and lose his interests to inner transformations of Islamic civilization. His traditionalist view results in some useful, comparative studies in his works which shall help us knowing our actual world and comprehending Islamic civilization more accurate and complete. The relationship between religion and civilization and the role of religion in the creation or development of civilizations have been echoed among many civilization historians and theorists. and even some of religiousscholars, produced a diverse range of pro- and counter-views. This article attempts to analyses the ideas of Malek Ben Nabi, an Algerian prominent thinker, about the relationship between religion and civilization. He is one the few Muslim thinkers whose studies and works focus on civilization, the role of religion in civilization and the relationship between them. In his perspective, the constituent elements of a civilization are: man, soil and time. But what is important as an underlying point is that existence of these elements solely will not create a civilisation. It needs to a synthesizer, which influenced the combination of those three elements. Historical analysis shows that the only thing which always has been followed by constructing a civilization is “religious thought”. Religious thought stimulates spirit of these elements and by combining them together, extract a production called civilization. Although creation of a civilization is subject to human civilizational zation will, this doesn’t  happened but by human’s faith which calls for attempts and motivations. The civilization is the result of human’s interaction with soil in a specific period of time and in the light of religious thought Manuscript profile

While Islamic civilization peaks during the Abbasid, the golden era of Islamic civilization shows down side in the same state. However, origins of such up and down find shape in political culture and socio-political developments during the previous Umayyad and Nabavi states. The Abbasid state won the political struggles by further having full control of jurisprudence and theology knowledge and achieves supremacy, in continuity, over its archrivals that are the Shiites and the Khwarijites by making changes in legitimizing power knowledge. As a result, Islamic civilization had been fundamentally dependent on weakness and strength of the Islamic states and such weakness and strength originate from formation of political legitimacy problem. In the Syrian crisis, there is an increasing spread in the territorial geography of the conflict, and the manner in which violence is perpetrated is more and more different than in other contemporary conflicts. However, alongside these two inner dimensions, an exterior feature also gives this distinctive chaotic environment a clash of several different civilization systems. The direct and indirect presence of a large number of regional and international actors is one of the most important features that makes the analysis of why and its implications in different dimensions essential. For this reason, the main issue of research is to analyze and analyze the causes of the collision of several civilizations in the Middle East and specifically in the Syrian crisis. This article focuses on fundamental research and has utilized documentary, library, and online resources that have been written using inferential analysis in the context of a descriptive and analytical approach. The findings of the research have shown us that today we are witnessing a full-blown civilization war involving three civilizations (Islam, Orthodox and Confucius) in the field of civilization battle with Western civilization. The battlefield is the world of Islam, and Syria is now the main testing ground for these four civilizations. Given the structural decline of the Western world's ability to contain global chaos and instability in various economic, social and military spheres, and with the increasing progress of Eastern civilizations such as Slav-Orthodox and Confucian civilization, what is now happening in Syria and Iraq can be He considered the latest efforts of Western civilization to maintain its former status and the resistance of Eastern civilizations to its demands in the battle of civilizations. In addition, in these conflicts, a new culture, with the emergence of Islam, advocates movements of Islamic resistance influenced by this new cultural geography, thereby expanding Western influence from its security and cultural environment while expanding its sphere of influence. The ultimate goal of this crisis for the Muslim world is to liberate and liberate all the oppressed nations of the Islamic world and the world from the oppression and domination of the oppressors. Hence, the bloody conflict in Syria is a reflection of the civilizations' war and the changing geopolitical status of the region and the birth of a new order on the international scene. Modern Islamic civilization is in fact a macro-strategy that is situated within deep awakening and Islamic movements, particularly the Islamic Revolution and the Muslim world has the capacity and pure Islamic thought has the competence to keep this civilization with all dimensions and angles established. The main question of this paper is that “what role does seminary play in forming and dynamic shaping of modern Islamic civilization?” the article hypothesizes that it up to seminary to engineer modern Islamic civilization, educate managers and agents involved. In other words, revolutionary seminary and perspective ahead is materialization of modern Islamic civilization which is not made possible without seminaries having a part to play. The most significant role of seminary in achievement of modern Islamic civilization obtained in this research are: 1. Efficient and conceptual elucidation of frameworks, goals and models monitoring modern Islamic civilization based on which its achievement demands an epistemological system which has Islamic learnings in focus; 2. Paving the ground for emergence of Imam of the Age (may Allah hasten his emergence); 3. Providing capacities and cherishing efficient forces in proportion to revolutionary mission are included among other requirements for materializing the modern Islamic civilization. Hence, establishment of modern Islamic civilization and as a result, transformation of the western material culture into Islamic civilization remain collateral to resolution of civilization, Islamization, society and Islamic state, which with no doubt will be bridged through seminaries and government provided they remain revolutionary. The data was collected via document reviewing and library method through note taking on index cards from printed references concerning the ideological paradigm of the supreme leader and psychology. The data was analyzed by applying content analysis procedure. The results indicated that The family is one of the most important institutions in society, and it provides the strongest foundations for the spiritual and intellectual upbringing of individuals. Within such institution, women play a central role, but Western political and advertising systems seek to undermine their status. According to the Supreme Leader's perspective, Western civilization focuses solely on the sexual and feminine aspects of women while ignoring their human dimension and status. In the West, women are exploited under the guise of freedom, which is a form of slavery and insult to women. In contrast, Islam honors women and considers being a woman a source of pride and glory. Therefore, the Islamic perspective, and consequently that of the Supreme Leader, regards women with a comprehensive view that takes into account both divine values and human logic. Manuscript profile

Political philosophy and its role and relationship with the production of thought, knowledge, its impact and effectiveness on the political structure of Muslim societies in the West of Islamic civilization should be seen in the special view of Ibn Bajah in his work "Tadbir al-Mutawahid", Ibn Tufail in the sample of "Hayy Ibn Yaqzan" and Ibn Rushd searched philosophy with his methodology. Alireza Masoud,[1],MehdiZakerian[2]*,AbdolaliGhavam[3],Hamid Ahmadi[4]   Abstract: With the domination of the International System and Western civilization since 1500 AD, the ancient Eastern Civilizations have had similar experiences of marginalization. The reproduction of similar elements in the Strategic Culture of these civilizations has led to a common demand to return to their former role and place in the International System. The main question is what factors led to the rapprochement of the ancient revisionist Eastern civilizations and the formation of the Eastern Historical-Civilizational Bloc in the international system? The overall result of the study shows that the war of ancient civilization, marginalization and similar strategic culture between Iranian, Chinese and Russian civilizations has led to the formation of the historical-civilizational bloc of the East, which seeks to create Eastern and Western Bounded Order against the Western International Order. The method used in this paper is descriptive-analytical and its theoretical framework is based on the theory of the Clash of Civilizations by Samuel Huntington and the Critical Theory of Robert Cox. During the confrontation between the two Islamic civilizations and Western civilization in the 5th and 6th centuries AH, a favorable opportunity was provided for the transmission of civilizational heritage and cultural and scientific achievements. Even the Crusades, aimed at infiltrating the Orient, introduced Europeans to the radiant face of Islamic civilization and culture. In the transition from the confrontation to the interaction of civilization, medical knowledge also spread from the field of Islam to Western civilization and reminded Europe of the need to increase the level of health and scientific dynamism.Relying on a descriptive-analytical method based on library data, the present study aims to address the unspoken angles and factors affecting the process of transfer of Islamic medicine to the Western world along the cultural interactions of the Middle Ages. One of the important aspects in the process of civilization convergence between the two fields of East and West was borrowing science and attracting innovative techniques of Muslim scholars, especially in the field of scientific adaptation. Thus, the innovations and teachings of Muslim physicians and the progress of the Islamic world in the field of health and paramedics attracted the attention of Europeans and, by translating the works of Muslims, fueled the wave of the Renaissance in the West. Some have explored these factors intra-structurally; That is, the factors that negatively affected it from within Islamic society; And some have paid attention to extra-structural factors; That is, the events that entered the Islamic civilization from outside and caused its decline. In this article, descriptively-analytically, by asking the question, what factors have considered contemporary Iranian thinkers to affect the decline of Islamic civilization? Examining the historical approaches of the era of the Prophet with the aim of explaining the civilization-building components of the Quran, puts the most stable social and political requirements of Islamic societies before the thinkers and the ruling policies. Acceptable progress and desirable civilization, which are the implicit or explicit aspirations of Islamic reformers and benefactors, without re-examining the civil values emanating from the Prophet's migration period, will be a fruitless and sometimes ineffective effort. So, this descriptive-analytical research tries to answer this main question, which of the historical approaches parallel to Prophet's emigration play a role in explaining the social and political components of the civilization of the Qur'an?Citing divine verses and referring to library sources show the results; Parallel to the emigration of the Messenger of God (pbuh), the need for a fundamental change and in line with the social and political components of the civilization of the Qur'an became inevitable in the realization of the Prophet's (pbuh) society; Therefore, in a short period of time, developments such as the abolition of Arabization and the strengthening of social belonging by relying on urbanism and abolishing the privileges of tribes brought a new life based on the system of urbanization.               ʿĀshūrā and its aftermath, the Arbaʿīn, is one of the most important and influential events in the history of Islam and Shia history, in such a way that the Islamic civilization, which will almost certainly become the most powerful opponent of the Western civilization, was influenced by these two events and rather its roots. It has deep implications in the history of these Islamic and Shiite developments. In this research, we will discuss the 40-day explanatory jihad of the family of Aba Abdullah (as), especially Ḥaḍrat Zainab (as), after the incident of Karbala, which marked a significant trend in the history of mankind. Abstract Following the developments of recent decades, once again religion as an important and effective factor has entered social affairs and as a result secularism’s authority has been challenged in all spheres. This important development, not only focused the attention on the role of religion in political relations of human societies, rather many believe that despite the prevailing notion, religion has always been present in human societies and has acted in human life in different ways. This role can be positive and negative, positive in order to achieve peace and negative by fueling tensions. In response to the fact that how religion is continuously acting in public sphere in general and in international relations in particular following hypothesis is propounded. Religion is an old institute, as old as human’s creation and it provides a framework within which man can think and live and it affects his life in a variety of ways. Therefore, secularism cannot deny the authority of religion in man’s life and in practice secularism is directly and indirectly under the influence of religion. In a way following changes in circumstances and human societies it again affects all aspects of human life and revives its authority. Manuscript profile

Hegemonic wars have transformed their essence due to systemic changes. The concept of structural complexity has been utilized as a theoretical framework for research to explain the new patterns of hegemonic warfare. Structural complexity includes principles such as emergent properties, nonlinear dynamics, adaptation, downward causality, network diffusion, non-equilibrium order, and self-regulatory mechanism. In the present study, the question was addressed as what the effects of structural complexity are on new patterns of hegemonic warfare in the modern international system. This research method consisted of two steps; in the first step, a theoretical and analytical model of structural complexity based on deductive inference was presented; in the second step, the time series analysis method was used to examine the historical trend of hegemonic wars as experimental data. According to the hypothesis of this research, the situation of structural complexity in the international system has caused profound changes in an important variable such as international order. The intellectual hegemony of the United States with the dimensions of productive, institutional, structural, and compulsory power in the war against the networks of civilization and identity is challenging in Russia, Iran, and China. Hence, hegemonic wars occur in the discourse, military, economic, and technological dimensions. Manuscript profile

After the September 11 terrorist events more attentinos have been focused on it and this topic became the main issue in political conferences and mass media. The September 11 events became an important historical and unforgetable incident and a milestone in international system and it gave a new meaning and attitude towards terrorism. Since the terrorist who participated in September 11 events were all Muslims and from the Arab countries، the Western mass media which have been under the influence of Jewish and Zionist circles tried to substantiate that Islam is having a terrorist nature and the Muslims and Arabs are participating in suicide attacks. The Western media in their interpretation and analysis considered Islamic Jihad sysnoymous with terrorism. As such، many people in the Western countries are of the view that Islamic contermporary civilization is related to terrorism and the terrorist events are having the backing of Islamic thinking and beliefs. Thus in the present article an attempt has been made to give a historical introduction about terrorism and define it، then the article discusses the issue from the view point of Islam. The article while defining and clarifying the meaning of terrorism from the view point of Quran verses، traditions، customs and the prophet’s way of life it tries to reject the allegation that Muslims are terrorist and it acquit Islam from terrorist beliefs. It also distinguishes the difference between terrorism and legitimate defence. Manuscript profile

Abstract: The purpose of writing the present paper is to study the Umm al-Qura, Iranian Civilization and the coalition and alliance doctrines. Which one of the above doctrines is related to foreign policy of Iran? Why among the three said doctrines, the doctrine of Umm-al-Qura can better explain the foreign policy of Iran and shaping of the post Imam Khomeini era foreign policy behavior? The underlying hypothesis is that taking into consideration the universalistic and Islamic feature and objectives and also prescriptive discourse of Iranian foreign policy, prevalence of Islamic culture in foreign policy, based on idealistic Shiite Islam, the doctrine of Umm- al-Qura has a better capability for explaining and interpreting Iran’s Foreign policy. The finding of the study shows that the other two doctrines are not suitable to explain Iran’s foreign policy due to their lack of attention to role of Islam in foreign policy and undervaluing the Islamic idealistic Shiite interest in connection with national interests. The method of data collection is library materials and analyzing data is explanative-comparative. Manuscript profile

Aleppo is one of the most important cities in the Near East region with its history of thousands of years. Evidence shows that this city has been located at the intersection of several trade routes since the second millennium BC and was successively ruled by tribes and dynasties such as Hittites, Assyrians, Arabs, Mongols, Mamluks and Ottomans. Elements such as the fort, bazaar, mosque, schools, palaces, caravanserais, and baths are all part of this coherent and unique urban fabric. This ancient city was registered in the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1986 despite its special architectural and urban development values and its unique features. Aleppo Citadel is one of the most prominent examples of medieval Islamic architecture that has been preserved until the 21st century. Parts of the old stone walls of the city are still intact, along with several of its gates. During the Syrian war, the city of Aleppo's historical fabric, including the citadel and the Grand Mosque, suffered a lot of damage, so that UNESCO declared it among the world heritage sites at risk, and therefore, efforts are being made to restore this fabric and its structural elements after recapture. The capture of the city is underway. The most visible landmark of Aleppo is the medieval citadel, which is located on a semi-man-made hill in the center of the city at a height of about 40 meters. The old part of the city, which extends outwards from the perimeter of the hill, covers approximately 1.5 square miles (4 km2). To the west of the citadel is one of the largest covered markets in the Middle East, which stretches for kilometers in narrow streets. Vendors are grouped by trade in the market, forming specialized alleys for goods including clothing, textiles, leather, soap, and spices. Many khans, mosques and houses were built with limestone materials and many of them date back to the 16th and 17th centuries. However, this would also be too simple. Despite the occurrence of various religious and ethnic wars and the occupation of this city by various dynasties throughout history and sometimes extensive damage to the physical structure and body of the city, the cohesion of the social structure has still been preserved and perhaps this cultural confrontation has turned into interaction, although The extent of the collapse of this historical city after the incredible invasion of the so-called Islamic State (ISIS) will be very extensive and lasting. The Islamic Revolution emerged as a civilizing revolution by creating a fundamental change in the goals and values of Iranian society, as well as influencing the developments in the countries of the region and the Islamic world. A development owed primarily to the role-playing of its civilizing leaders. Imam Khomeini (RA) and the Supreme Leader have played a significant role in creating a civilizational discourse by creating metaphors and words of civilization during the four decades of the Islamic Revolution. It has also been repeatedly emphasized that one of the important concerns of the Supreme Leader and the content of his discourse is the protection of the fundamental values of the Islamic Revolution. Therefore, the empirical and practical role-playing of the Supreme Leader in building the discourse of civilization and examining the stages of formation and maturation of civilization in the blinds of events and confrontation with the enemies of civilization has a special prominence. This article reviews the discourse-building metaphors of the leadership to explain the new Islamic civilization in the three stages of "civilization-building, civilization-building and civilization-civilization" by review method and using the technique of poststructuralist discourse "Laclof Moff". In the realm of mythological criticism in contemporary literature, there is a noticeable trend among writers and poets who are captivated by the idea of exploring the lifestyles of prehistoric people. They believe that as mankind has moved away from its 'pre-social' state, it has descended into immorality. Additionally, upon progressing towards civilization, a sense of self-love emerged, which they perceive as highly artificial and rooted in excessive boasting and jealousy. In this context, the concept of "returning to the origin" emerged, with its proponents demonstrating a strong inclination towards going back to the initial world. This concept is also referred to as "returning to the roots" and "building upon the roots". Sohrab Sepehri, a leading figure in this field among contemporary poets, calls his audience to return to the origin in his works. Using a descriptive-analytical method, this research aims to examine the prevalence of this "returning to the origin" pattern in contemporary literary criticism. The pattern holds significant importance and has been utilized by writers, mystics, and poets worldwide. The results of the research indicate that Sohrab Sepehri actively sought to capture the dreamlike essence of beginnings and eternal memories. He endeavored to transcend the confines of the "corrupted contemporary man" and experience the state of primitive man to the fullest extent possible – a human who "sleeps in the text of the elements" and "is happy in his azure philosophies". In this article, we first explain the life and application of the theories of this tireless sociologist who sought to provide a model for discovering the causes of change in European behavior and how modern Western civilization originated, and the role of sport and games in this valley. Then, a look at the basics of "Elias" views in the sociology of sport is taken and his positive view of sports and verification of games. Then, the functions of sport are analyzed from his perspective, which considered sport beyond sport. In another paper, the game is described as a social process and its models for sociological explanations, because "Elias" likened the world to a big game and believed that the game and its models govern social life. And constitute human relations. Finally, in the final part of this article, the evolution of this phenomenon was examined and its change process from traditional and violent games to modern and peaceful sports was analyzed. The Idrisians were the first Shiite sect to gain political power in the Islamic world. They managed to rule for about three centuries, first completely independently and then as agents of the remaining Umayyad caliphate based in Spain. The results of this establishment and consolidation of political forces gradually manifested themselves in the fields of culture and civilization to the point that many researches on Idrisi culture and civilization testify. But the unspoken point in this regard is their influence on Muslim and non-Muslim neighbors who gradually became fascinated by the civilization and cultural thought of the Idrisians.
