Purpose: The present study aimed to investigate the relationship between organizational trust and knowledge management among staff at the University of Urmia.
Methodology: The methodology for this study is descriptive. To do this, 223 numbers of the administrative staff of the University of Urmia were selected using stratified sampling method. Questionnaires to collect data: knowledge management and organizational trust were used. The questionnaire using Cronbach's alpha reliability coefficients for the α =0/912 and obtained α =0/883 and data based on research hypotheses using multivariate analysis of variance and multiple regression were analyzed.
Findings: Results showed that the components of organizational trust with all aspects of knowledge management, there is a significant positive relationship. In addition, the components of trust between employees, trust in manager and trust in institutions can be a significant component of knowledge management: knowledge creation, knowledge sharing, and applying knowledge to predict knowledge retention.
Conclusion: Increased levels of trust in the organization facilitate the implementation of knowledge management processes in the organization.
