The present study aimed to comparatively assess the coping styles and psychological well-being among patients with multiple sclerosis and normal people. The research method was carried out using a causal-comparative study. The population consisted of all treated multiple sclerosis patients membered in Tehran Multiple Sclerosis Society and healthy people of Tehran in 2015. In so doing, 69 people from each group, as the samples, were selected by simple random sampling. The research variables were evaluated using Psychological Well-Being (Ryff, 1989) and Stress-Coping Styles (Endler and Parke, 1990) questionnaires. The data were analyzed by multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA). The results showed a significant difference in self-acceptance, environmental mastery, purpose in life, and personal growth of the well-being variables in both investigated groups (P <0.05). It was also revealed that multiple sclerosis patients used more significantly avoidance-oriented coping among the present coping styles (P<0.05). No significant difference was found in other dependent variables between the two groups. Caring about psychological treatments and using effective coping styles in patients with multiple sclerosis are essential. The results of this study may contribute to more recognition and intervention for mental health promotion after the onset of multiple sclerosis. Manuscript profile

The purpose of this research was to study the coping styles of betrayed women in a qualitative way. This study employed a qualitative approach along with the phenomenology method. The sample consisted of 20 women between 22-57 years old who confered on Isfahan counseling centers in late third quarter of 1396 and early four months of 1397 and selected through purposive sampling and were investigated by a semi-structured interview. To analyze the data, open, axial and selective coding was used. analysis resulted in 3 main themes of coping styles: inflexible, inactive, active. For each of themes, three subthemes were created including inflexible(anxiety, ruminative and comparative), inactive(avoiding, submitting and distracting) and active(supporting, participatory and agreementory). The results showed that the coping styles do not experience similarly by all betrayed women. Some factors such as how revealing infidelity, the quality of marital relationships, religious beliefs, social and family supports and existence of children had an important effect on coping styles. Given the fact that the findings have been elicited out of a native study, they may play a vital role in developing the intervention packages. Manuscript profile

Research method has been discussed the relationship between the variables using correlational test. Statistical society consisted students of second secondary eleventh grade studying in Isfahan the academic year 93-94whilethe sampling method was Multi-stage random cluster of girls and boys schools. The instruments included Averill emotional creativity questionnaire (1999), McMaster Family Function Dimensions Questionnaire (1983), Endler and Parker Coping Style Questionnaire (1990) and the data obtained were analyzed using path analysis. The path analysis, preformed via LISREL software, showed that the components of Family Functioning could predict students' emotional creativity at P <0.05. In detail, problem-solving, behavior control and overall performance components had direct and indirect effect on emotional creativity positively. In regard of mediation role the results showed that. The dimensions of avoidance-focused style and problem -focused style (of coping style) had a mediating role between family functioning and emotional creativity. These results compel us to be aware of the importance of the family functioning and coping styles on emotional creativity of students. A greater concentrate on coping style (i.e. avoidance-focused style and problem -focused style) and proper family functioning (i.e. problem-solving, behavior control and overall performance components) could improve emotional creativity among students. The aim of this study was to predict Internet addiction based on perceived social support and coping styles with students' stress and emotional intelligence. The method of the present study was descriptive-correlational. The statistical population included secondary school students in the second year of Tehran in the academic year of 1397-98 and the statistical sample size included 400 people who were selected by available sampling method. Samples were measured through Yung internet addiction questionnaire (1998), emotional intelligence questionnaire based on Bradbury - Graves (2004), perceived social support developed by Zimet and colleagues (1988), The Lazarus and Folkman’ ways of coping questionnaire (1985). Multiple regression was used to test the hypotheses. The findings showed that social support, emotional intelligence and problem-oriented coping style predict negatively and meaningfully, and emotionally-oriented coping style predicts students' Internet addiction in a positive and meaningful way. Also, among the dimensions of social support, family and important people, and among the dimensions of emotional intelligence, the relationship management dimension predicts students negatively and significantly in Internet addiction. The purpose of this study was to identify the mediating role of life management strategies in the relationship between generativity-stagnation with subjective well-being in the middle age period. The research method was correlation and the statistical population of the research consisted of all middle-aged citizens of Kermanshah 200 individuals (127 men and 73 women) were selected by voluntary sampling method and responded to four instruments of subjective well-being (Keyes, Shmotkin & Ryff, 2002), Loyola generativity scale) McAdams & de St Aubin, 1992), stagnation scale (Bradley,1997), life management Strate- gies scale (Baltes et al.,1999). For data analysis, we used path analysis. The results showed that generativity has a direct relationship with life management strategies stagnation has an opposite relationship with life management strategies and life management strat- egies have a direct effect on subjective well-being. Also, the results showed that life management strategies can act as a mediator in the relationship between generativity- stagnation and subjective well-being. As a result, considering the importance of subjective well-being in the middle-aged, psychologists can take a step towards increasing the quality of this period by relying on the two variables of generativist- stagnation, and life management strategies and trying to improve and modify them in the middle-aged and performing interventions and treatments in the society. The aim of this study was to examine the mediating role of self-esteem in the relationship between hardiness and coping styles. Based on a correlation design, a sample of 200 teachers in Tehran from 4 education areas completed Personal Views Survey (Hardiness Institute, 1985) which evaluates three hardy attitudes in terms of a trait, Coping Inventory for Stressful Situations (Endler & Parker, 1994) and Multidimensional Self-Esteem Inventory (O’brien, 1988). Findings showed that self-esteem correlated with hardiness and problem-focused coping style positively and with emotion-focused coping style negatively, but it did not correlate with avoidant coping style. In addition, hardiness correlated with all the three coping styles negatively. Path analysis showed that self-esteem has a mediating role in the relationship between hardiness and problem-focused and avoidant coping styles but it does not have a mediating role in the relationship between hardiness and emotion-focused coping style.
