Abstract :
Abstract: The aim of the present study was to develop and assess the prediction of procrastination based on the schema of unrelenting standards with the mediating role of coping styles in students. The research was descriptive-correlational, utilizing structural equation modeling (SEM). The study population consisted of students from the Islamic Azad University, Karaj Branch, in the spring and summer of 2025. A sample of 300 participants was selected using stratified random sampling. The data collection instruments included three questionnaires: the Suvari Procrastination Questionnaire (2011), the Young Schema Questionnaire (1998), and the Lazarus Coping Strategies Questionnaire (1998). To achieve the research objectives, descriptive analysis of the data obtained from the questionnaires was conducted initially. Subsequently, the collected data were analyzed using the structural equation modeling (SEM) method. The results of the data analysis indicated that all research hypotheses regarding the relationships between the study variables were confirmed. The findings showed a significant relationship between procrastination and the schema of unrelenting standards, with the mediating role of coping styles in students.
