Suicide is contrary to nature and is strictly forbidden in Islam. The main question of the research is the possibility of determining the ta'zir punishment for a person who commits unsuccessful suicide according to the rule of "ta'zir for all forbidden acts". In the law, only the punishment of the deputy for suicide through media and telecommunication tools has been dealt with, and the punishment of imprisonment from 91 days to 1 year or a fine from five million rials to twenty million rials or both punishments is considered for the offender. Considering that it is not criminalized in the Islamic Penal Code and according to Article 1 of the Penal Code and the twenty-twenty-second and thirty-fourth principles of the Constitution, it is possible to determine the punishment for suicide based on the rule of "ta'zir for all forbidden acts". The jurisprudence of the five religions can be determined as an appropriate punishment according to the person and the act performed. The present research has been done in a descriptive-analytical method and has found that individuals are punished with ta'zir punishments or appropriate security and training measures such as; Advice by the judge of the court, warning and warning or obtaining a written commitment sentenced not to repeat the crime, imprisonment, corporal punishment, etc. Manuscript profile

Abstract People kill themselves when they feel that life isn’t worth continuing. When the motivation to death is stronger than the instinct of self preservation, man thinks that there is no way in the front him and that he’s surrounded by despair from all sides. In this case, the values of all the things that were this man’s main values in his life, lose their spiritual and material costs. Today, depression and mental disorders, addiction, failure, or failure in love, work and personality disorders, is the main reasons of suicide. There are also people that suicide to protest the situation. But in Europe, especially in Greek and Roman literature, the number of suicides is very high which incentives are often completely different from today. In the collection of Persian literature, the number of people who have committed suicide is even less than the number of a hand’s fingers. This paper is a comparison between the death of two heroes, and two heroism deaths: Ajax, the Greek commander in a play of Sophocles, on the one hand, and on the other hand Bahram, Goor’e son in Ferdowsi’s Shahnameh Manuscript profile

OCD is a severe and debilitating psychological condition that affects the quality of life and overall performance of patients and their family members, leading to interpersonal problems, feelings of helplessness and hopelessness in patients. So, the purpose of this research was to examine the effectiveness of mindful self-compassion therapy on the interpersonal needs among the patients diagnosed with obsessive-compulsive disorder having suicidal thoughts. The sample of research consisted of 3 female patients with obsessive-compulsive disorder in Ahvaz city in 2019. They were asked to fill in the scales Yale-Brown Obsessive-Compulsive (1989), The Suicidal Ideation (Rudd, 1989) and Interpersonal Needs (Van Orden, Cukrowicz, Witte & Joiner, 2012).The mindful self-compassion therapy protocol was implemented in 8 sessions of 90 to 120 minutes hours and the test was performed in three phase of baseline, after testing and a 3-month follow-up and the obtained data were analyzed by visual representation, reliable change index and improvement percentage formula. According to the findings of study, mindful self-compassion therapy had a significant effect on reducing the thwarted belongingness and perceived burdensomeness. The 3-month follow-up plan established that the treatment changes were stable for the thwarted belongingness and perceived burdensomeness. This approach by preventing the avoidance of painful thoughts and emotions caused by the disorder and the growth of a sense of belonging to others and a social bond with them leads to resilience and prevents the occurrence of thwarted belongingness and perceived burdensomeness during times of psychological distress. Suicide attempt is on the rise among adolescent girls due to negative cognitions, so the aim of this study was to investigate the effect of Rumination-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (RFCBT) versus Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) on negative self-evaluation, and suicidal ideation among depressed girls adolescents aged 14 to 19 attempting suicide. This study was a quasi-experimental design with pre-test and post-test with a control group. Thirty-three depressed adolescent girls attempting suicide who were referred to the emergency department of Samen Al-Aeme and Imam Hassan Hospitals in Bojnourd from October 23, 2019 to March 5, 2020, after having the inclusion criteria, were selected with targeted sampling method, then randomly divided into three groups of rumination-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (10 individual sessions) and control. The research tools included Depression Inventory-2 (Beck & Steer, 1993) and Suicide Probability Scale (Cull & Gill, 1989). Findings obtained from Analysis of covariance showed that both interventions had a significant effect on reducing negative self-evaluation and suicidal ideation at the time of post-test (p <0.001) and follow-up (p <0.05), and this effect was stable during the two-month follow-up period. Therefore, both interventions can reduce negative self-evaluation and suicidal ideation in different ways (decreased rumination and increased mindfulness) but without superiority, so it is recommended to use these two interventions in times of depression and in times of suicidal crisis. One of the topics that has occupied the minds of most thinkers and even the public in recent years is the issue of divorce. Currently, this phenomenon in Iran is a social problem and has created many problems for individuals and families facing divorce. According to the nature of the subject and the desired goals, the present research is correlational descriptive research. The current research population includes all women who referred to counseling centers in Tehran in 1402. From among them, 300 people were selected through targeted and available sampling. Using Nolen Hoeksma and Maro's rumination questionnaire, self-harm (masochism) questionnaire, Leahy's emotional schema standard questionnaire and Collins and Ray's adult attachment style questionnaire and data analysis, it was determined that there is a difference between secure attachment style and non-suicidal self-harm in Divorced women have a significant negative correlation. There is a positive and significant correlation between anxious insecure attachment style, rumination, neurotic defense mechanism and underdeveloped defense mechanism with non-suicidal self-harm in divorced women, and there is no significant correlation between avoidant insecure attachment style and non-suicidal self-harm in divorced women. As a result, considering the family problems in the society and the increase in the rate of divorce, identifying the influential and related factors and planning trainings based on these findings can be effective in preventing non-suicidal thoughts and acts of self-harm. Introduction: This study aimed to investigate the role of resilience, emotion regulation and spiritual health in predicting suicidal ideation of women victims of violence during the coronavirus period. Method: The descriptive research method was correlation type. The statistical population included women victims of violence who had referred to the psychological clinics of Isfahan city in 2021-2022 and among them 180 people were selected by the available sampling method, and they answered the questionnaires on resilience (Kunor and Davidson, 2003), emotion regulation (Garnevsky, Craig and Spinhaven, 2001), spiritual health (Palotzin and Ellison, 1982) and predict suicidal ideation (Aaron Beck, 1961). The research data were analyzed using the method of correlation analysis, multivariate regression analysis and through the SPSS-23 software. Findings: The results showed that suicidal ideation could be predicted by resilience, spiritual health and emotion regulation (p<0.05). Resilience has the greatest ability to predict the suicidal ideation of women victims of violence and it predicts nearly 32% of the suicidal suicidal ideation of women victims of violence, and the variables of resilience and spiritual health are simultaneously 39.5% of the variable of suicidal ideation of women victims of violence. predict Conclusion: According to the results obtained, it is important to pay attention to resilience, and spiritual health in educational packages to reduce suicidal ideation in victims of domestic violence.Extended Abstract IntroductionThe coronavirus first appeared in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China, and in less than 3 months, the local epidemic turned into a global pandemic, forcing governments around the world to announce social distancing requirements and eventually quarantines. (Chan et al., 2020; Hill et al., 2021; Holshue et al., 2020; Mikaeili & Samadifard, 2019). which resulted in social, psychological and economic consequences, including an increase in cases of domestic violence (Campbell, 2020; Sánchez et al., 2020; Viero et al., 2021). addition, research shows that participants in quarantine experienced increased rates of suicidal thoughts (Hill et al., 2021). Suicidal thoughts is a broad term used to describe a range of thoughts, desires, and preoccupations. Thought is used with death and suicide (Harmer et al., 2022).Resilience against suicide is one of the topics of interest to researchers in the field of suicide. It prevents suicide in situations where suicide risk factors surround people. Some studies show that low levels of resilience are associated with suicidal thoughts (Chen & Kuo, 2020; McLaren & Challis, 2009) Another psychological construct that is effective in reducing suicidal thoughts is the cognitive regulation of emotion (Bedayat & Askary, 2020; Sepehreinjad & Hatamian, 2018). High emotional regulation skills can be effective in modulating and correcting emotional reactions and affect the cognitive processes involved (Ramezanzadeh et al., 2014).Research results show that one of the factors influencing the reduction of suicidal thoughts is spiritual health (Mehrabian et al., 2023; Mikaeili & Samadifard, 2019; Rahimi & Asadolahi, 2017). People who have spiritual health are capable, strong people. , have greater control and social support and have the ability to adapt to spiritual tensions and necessary interventions to adapt and deal with problems and crises (Cilliers & Terblanche, 2014; Mohammadi et al., 2018).The phenomenon of wife abuse is not accepted in any of the religions and societies. Therefore, treatment or prevention measures of domestic violence seem necessary. Considering the position of the family in societies, when talking about the institution of the family, intimacy, love, and peace immediately come to mind. The existence of peace in the family institution depends on having warm relations between the family members, especially the parents. Domestic violence against women is a hidden, chronic and widespread phenomenon in all human societies and has many negative effects. Therefore, by conducting such research, it is hoped to identify predictor variables of domestic violence and prevent its consequences. Also, by conducting the present study, which deals with explaining the influential personality factors (resilience, emotion regulation, and spiritual health) in the occurrence of suicidal ideation among women who are victims of violence against women, it is possible to quantitatively predict the probability of committing other crimes such as suicide based on these three variables. . Considering the novelty of this research, its results can strengthen researchers' attention to women victims of violence during the coronavirus epidemic. According to the existing concerns about the psychological consequences of the coronavirus and its increasing rate for women, the researcher in this research is looking for an answer to the question of whether resilience, emotional regulation and spiritual health can reduce the suicidal ideation of women who are victims of violence in the period predict coronavirus?MethodologyAccording to the nature of the subject, the present research was descriptive of the correlational type from the point of view of the applied goal and its method. The statistical population included women who were victims of violence who had been referred to the psychological clinics of Isfahan in 2021-2022 to receive counseling. and they answered the questionnaires on resilience (Kunor and Davidson, 2003), emotion regulation (Garnevsky, Craig and Spinhaven, 2001), spiritual health (Palotzin and Ellison, 1982) and predict suicidal ideation (Aaron Beck, 1961). The research data were analyzed using the method of correlation analysis, multiple regression analysis, and the statistical software package for social sciences )SPSS-23 software(. ResultsThe present study revealed that most of the sample's education includes 63 people (35 percent) with a bachelor's degree. Most of the sample includes 84 people (46.7 percent) who are housewives. Also, most of the people in the sample, including 82 people (45.6 percent), have one child. It was also found that the average age of the sample is 37.07 years and the average duration of their marriage is 6.79 years. In the following, we will examine the average of the research variables.Table 1. Descriptive indices of research variablesBased on the results obtained in Table 1; The mean of resilience, cognitive emotion regulation and spiritual health as predictor variables are 42.02, 63.19, and 102.82, respectively. The average variable of the research criteria including suicidal ideation is equal to 25.44. The results have also shown that the relationship between resilience, its dimensions, as well as cognitive regulation of emotion and its dimensions, and spiritual health and dimensions of this variable with suicidal thoughts in women victims of violence is significant (p<0.01).Table 2. Multiple correlation coefficient and F to predict suicidal ideation through cognitive regulation of emotion, resilience and spiritual health The results of the step-by-step regression analysis in Table 2 show that, in the presence of all predictor variables, and among these variables, resilience has the highest ability to predict suicidal ideation of women who are victims of violence. The findings of the above table indicate that resilience predicts 0.321 or nearly 32% of the suicidal ideation of female victims of violence, which according to the observed F (84.13), this amount is at the 0.001 level. It is meaningful. In the second step, with the addition of the spiritual health variable, the prediction rate of suicidal ideation of women victims of violence by two variables reaches 0.395. That is, two variables simultaneously predict 39.5% of the variable of suicidal ideation of women victims of violence, and the net contribution of the variable of spiritual health is equal to 7.4%, which according to the observed F (21.71), this amount It is significant at the 0.001 level. Table 3. The results of regression coefficients between predictor variables and suicidal ideation variableBased on the results obtained in table 3, among the predictor variables of the research, resilience variable (with t-statistic equal to 4.69) and spiritual health (with t-statistic equal to -4.61) can predict changes related to suicidal ideation of women victims of violence. nose According to the obtained standard beta coefficients, it can be said that by adding one unit to resilience and spiritual health, the standard deviation of suicidal ideation of women victims of violence is reduced by 0.35 and 0.32, respectively. Also, with the addition of one unit to the trust in individual and spiritual influences, 0.735 and 0.206 standard deviations of suicidal thoughts of women victims of violence are reduced, respectively. The results showed that for an increase of one unit in self-blame, 0.312 standard deviations were added to the suicidal thoughts of these women, and for an increase of one unit in the dimension of positive refocusing, 0.279 standard deviations of suicidal thoughts decreased in these women. Based on the results obtained, by adding one unit to religious health in women victims of violence, 0.557 standard deviations of suicidal thoughts is reduced.DiscussionThe results obtained from this research showed that resilience has the greatest ability to predict suicidal ideation of women who are victims of violence. In other words, resilience predicted 32% of suicidal ideation among female victims of violence. Also, resilience and spiritual health variables simultaneously predict 39.5% of the variable of suicidal tho ideation ughts of female victims of violence. . It was also found that emotional regulation has an effect in predicting suicidal thoughts, but the variable of cognitive regulation of emotion and its dimensions in step-by-step regression and in the presence of other predictive variables was not able to predict suicidal thoughts in female victims of violence. And it was consistent with the results of Zarei (1400), Kumar et al. (2021), Liu et al. (2021) and Rahimi and Asdalahi (2015). In explaining these results, it can be said that suicidal thoug ideation hts are a big medical and social problem. Also, during the spread of previous infectious diseases, the prevalence of suicide has increased. In particular, suicide rates were found to increase during plague outbreaks, during the Spanish flu of 1918-1919 in the United States, during the SARS outbreak in China among the elderly, women, and lower socioeconomic classes, as well as during The course is extended. Ebola infection in Africa (43-46). Mental, behavioral, financial and psychosocial issues related to the spread of COVID-19 may contribute to the increase of suicidal behaviors (39,40). Decades of research have focused largely on risk factors for suicidal behavior while ignoring protective factors such as resilience that may help address this important public health issue. Resilience is the capacity and dynamic process of adaptively overcoming stress and adversity while maintaining normal psychological and physical functioning ConclusionAs the studies showed, Zarei (1400), Sepharinejad and Hatmian (2017), Rahimi and Asdalahi (2015), Kumar et al. (2021), resilience is a protective factor against the risk of suicide. Women who have resilience have a higher concentration and attention to themselves and others, they show better cooperation with each other, they are interested in maintaining long-term relationships and are able to expand their skills (including conflict resolution) and women with high resilience are able to They have good control of their emotions and can make better decisions when conflicts arise. Limitations and SuggestionsThis research, like other research, faced challenges and limitations, one of the limitations of the research is that the statistical population is limited to the women of Isfahan city, so caution should be taken in generalizing the results to other communities. On the other hand, the sampling method in this research is non-random and available and among the women who went to the centers for counseling, which can affect the generalizability of the results. In addition, due to conducting the research in the conditions of coronavirus, caution should be taken from generalizing the results to the post-Corona era, and it is suggested to conduct similar research in other cities and in the post-Corona era. According to the results of this research, it is suggested to reduce suicidal ideation in women victims of domestic violence; Individual and group training programs should be held to strengthen resilience and coping skills and spiritual issues. AcknowledgementsWe hereby acknowledge and thank all the people who participated in the research and all those who cooperated in the implementation of this research. FundingThis study is derived from the master's thesis of the first author of the article and has no financial support. Ethics approval and consent to participateTo comply with the ethical principles, the necessary explanations about the objectives of the research were given to the participants and they were assured that their information will remain confidential with the researcher and the participants participated in the research with consent and knowledge. Conflict of interestsAccording to the authors of this article, there is no conflict of interest. References Bedayat, E., & Askary, M. People with gender boredom obviously suffer from constant discomfort due to the inadequacy of the gender role and current feelings, abundant and continuous interest in identifying with the opposite sex without taking advantage of the specific cultural and social benefits of that sex. Therefore, the present study was conducted with the aim of comparing suicidal thoughts, alexithymia and autistic traits in people suffering from sexual boredom and normal people. The current research was applied in terms of purpose and descriptive and causal-comparative in terms of data collection method. The statistical population of the current study was all people with gender dysphoria and transsexuals who were members of the Society for Support of Sexual Dysfunction Patients in Tehran province in 1401. Also, all normal people living in Tehran province were the population of normal people of this research. 50 people with gender dysphoria disorder and 50 normal people were selected in an available manner and due to the lack of in-person access to the subjects, the research data was collected in the form of an internet questionnaire. Beck (1991), Toronto Alexithymia (TAS-20) and Baron-Cohen et al (2001) autistic traits questionnaires were used to collect data. The collected data were analyzed using multivariate analysis of variance and SPSS24 software. The results showed a statistically significant difference between the two groups of people with gender dysphoria and normal people in suicidal thoughts (F=153.64 and P<0.01), alexithymia (F=207.89 and P<0.01) and There are autistic traits (F=133.24 and P<0.01). And autistic traits, alexithymia and suicidal thoughts are more common in people with sexual boredom than in normal people. Negative attitudes towards people with gender dysphoria and lack of proper social and cultural background, in most of these people, components such as autistic traits, alexithymia and suicidal thoughts are intensified by family and society. Therefore, in order to prevent its consequences, it is felt necessary to inform the society about this concept. Manuscript profile

Cravings and suicidal ideation significantly impact individuals undergoing methadone treatment. Mindfulness-based cognitive therapy is recognized for its role in enhancing mental and physical well-being. This quasi-experimental study employed a pretest-posttest design with a control group to assess the effectiveness of mindfulness-based cognitive therapy in reducing cravings and suicidal ideation among methadone patients. The sample consisted of 30 individuals undergoing methadone treatment in addiction centers in Tehran's second district during the second half of 2021. Participants were randomly assigned to an experimental group (undergoing mindfulness-based cognitive therapy) and a control group. The intervention group received 90 minutes of mindfulness treatment in 8 weekly sessions, while the control group received no intervention. The Wright Material Craving Questionnaire (1997) and the Beck Suicide Thought Questionnaire (1901) were used for data collection. Data analysis employed descriptive tests (mean and standard deviation) and analysis of covariance with SPSS software version 23. Results revealed significant effects of mindfulness-based cognitive therapy on both cravings (F = 15.74, p = 0.001) and suicidal ideation (F = 0.37, p < 0.001). The findings indicate the effectiveness of mindfulness-based cognitive therapy in reducing cravings and suicidal ideation among individuals undergoing methadone treatment, suggesting its potential application in addressing psychological challenges in this population. Keywords: Suicidal Ideation, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Craving Temptation, Methadone. AbstractThe purpose of this study was to investigate the mediating role of humor in the relationship between the traits of borderline personality disorder and suicidal tendencies in public hospital employees of Lorestan province. This study is applied in terms of purpose and descriptive in terms of data collection, which was conducted using structural equation model method. The statistical population of this study is made up of all the employees of the public hospitals of Lorestan province, using cluster random sampling, the number of 148 people was determined as a sample and according to Beck's suicide tendency questionnaire (1979). The borderline personality disorder subscale was answered based on the MCMI questionnaire and the humor questionnaire of Martin et al. (1981). The analysis of the hypotheses of this study was done by the method of structural equation modeling with SmartPLS software. Results showed that borderline personality disorder traits have a significant direct relationship with humor and suicidal tendencies. Also, the results of the final adjusted model showed that personality disorder traits with suicidal tendencies have an indirect effect with the mediating role of humor. The results of this study, by obtaining a suitable fit of the data with the model, showed that three conceptual frameworks, borderline personality disorder traits, suicidal tendencies and humor have theoretical intersection points in the hospital staff community. Are of Lorestan province and can be used in the form of a model and be taken into consideration in future planning. Manuscript profile

Suicide is among the human behaviors influenced by different biological motives. In the current conditions, given some issues such as increased suicide attempts, lifestyle change, and decreased age of suicide attempts, it seems vital to deeply investigate suicide. Using qualitative phenomenological approach, the present study tries to focus on the data obtained from in-depth semi-structured interviews with 30 individuals who attempted suicide (23 women and 7 men) to understand and identify risk factors that are effective in explaining how the suicide occurs. The results indicate that to understand suicide, the psychological disorders, the consequences of antisocial behaviors, and the risk factors that over time have influenced the lifestyle on the individual, family, and social levels should be taken into account. In-depth interviews demonstrate that most of the respondents were involved with issues including addiction, nonconformity, multiple secrecy, free relations with the opposite sex, illegal behaviors, early marriage, running away from home, and dropping out of school. Thus, identifying the risk factors and the interactions among them is of crucial importance in this regard. Manuscript profile

There is no doubt that suicide is forbidden in Shariat. It is based on many verses and traditions and has been claimed by consensus. However, there may be cases where suicides occur not because of the usual motives but as a result of the person being placed under specific situations. Suicides in the form of punishment, or committing it due to excitement and panic, being the victim, preserving chastity, torture-related suicide and also for the sake of superior interests cannot be regarded as other types of suicide. Here the concept of suicide and its implications is beyond doubt. If the suicide committed as a result of absence of intention, the legal and juridical effects of suicide would be eliminated and the cause of it would be responsible. Jurists have different views on suicides due to necessity. Some consider the necessity applicable but for homicide and some consider this rule to be applicable to all, including suicide. The author believes in the latter. In the case of suicide for the sake of supreme interest, if the benefit is Islam and Islamic Government, suicide will be permitted in the enclosure of two injunctions (suicide and disclosure of secrets) with regard to the principle of the most important. The aim of the present study was to investigate the role of primary maladaptive schemas, social support and perceived gender discrimination in predicting suicidal tendency in women with self-immolation experience. This research was descriptive and correlational. The statistical population of this research included all married women aged 18 to 55 years with a history of self-immolation who referred to health centers in the city of Dohdasht in the second half of 2021, and 160 people were selected by purposive sampling. The research tools included Beck's Suicidal Thoughts Questionnaire (1961), Young Schema Short Form Questionnaire (1988), Zimmet et al.'s Perceived Social Support Questionnaire (1988), and Klonoff and Landrin's Gender Discrimination Events Questionnaire (1995). The data were analyzed using Piron's correlation and multiple regression simultaneously. The results showed that there is a positive and significant relationship between initial maladaptive schemas, perceived gender discrimination and suicidal tendencies, and a negative and significant relationship between social support and suicidal tendencies (p<0.01). Also, the results have shown that initial maladaptive schemas, social support, and perceived gender discrimination predict 0.59 suicide tendency in women with self-immolation experience. In the beliefs of predecessors suicide had a religious aspect and was committed for various reasons. People believed that by offering their lives to the gods, they would actually serve them and their death bring welfare and prosperity to the society or that they would join their beloved and guardian in the other world and find peace in heaven for this reason wholeheartedly they embraced death. This research is an attempt to study the methods of suicide in epic texts until the 7th century using the descriptive analytic method. Results show that suicide is a voluntary act, an example of human sacrifice and its examples are more prominent in Shahnameh and Garshaspnameh than other epics. In epic texts suicide is carried out in five ways namely taking poison, bloodshed (cutting off head and tearing open the side), throwing oneself from the fortress, self-immolation, and refusing to eat and drink (starvation). Among the above methods bloodshed is more prominent for it seems that blood has an important role in fertility of nature. Suicidal case are seen more in Shahnameh in comparison with Garshaspnameh however intentions for suicides are more diverse in the latter. In shahnameh suicide is committed either for mourning a child and close relatives, or to defend an insult while this act in Garshaspnameh is often done for fertility reasons in nature, satisfaction of idols, prediction of future events and earning respect of the gods. Stressful life Events, are challenging occurrences that are associated with emotional disruptions and seem to be one of the factors that lead individual to clash with depression and rumination, are worrying experiences that continually occur over time and can have an important role in creating suicidal thoughts. The aim of this study is to present a model to predict suicidal thoughts based on stressful events and depressive mediated rumination in students. Therefore, in a correlation study, 155 post-graduate students of Shiraz University were selected randomly and evaluated for depression, suicidal thoughts, and rumination responses. Correlation analysis showed that stressful life events and rumination scores can directly and significantly predict depression and suicidal thoughts. According to the proposed model, it was found that stressful life events and depressive mediated rumination could significantly predict suicidal thoughts. It appears that the risk of depression and suicidal thoughts is higher in students who have experienced more stressful life events and tend to use ruminative response more often. Given that students have an important role in community development; employing methods that prevent and treat depression and suicidal thoughts among this demographic is essential. Manuscript profile

Suicidal behavior is a major problem worldwide and at the same time has received relatively little empirical attention. Interpersonal Psychological Theory believed that suicidalityy is caused by two risk factors of thwarted belongingness and perceived burdensomeness. The aim of this research was to Analyze the mediating Role of the Interpersonal Model of Suicide (perceived burdensomeness and thwarted belongingness) in relation between Mattering and Suicide in students. For this reason, through descriptive Research in the form of correlation and Structural Equation Model, 333 students of the University of Mohaghegh Ardabili selected by available sampling and Measured in regard to Interpersonal Needs, Mattering, and Suicidal Behavior. Correlation results showed that mattering has a direct correlation with interpersonal needs variable and also Suicide. Interpersonal needs have a direct correlation with Suicide. Indirect relations showed that mattering was correlated with suicide with mediating interpersonal needs. With regard to these findings, we can conclude that the joiner Interpersonal Theory of Suicide has a good fitness for predicting suicide, and Mattering variable can help us in predicting suicide within the scope of this theory and finally we can use it for preventing suicide. One of the most important factors associated with suicide is the traces of pathological character in people. Among the three clusters of personality disorder, schizotypal personality disorder and borderline personality disorder are the most important disorders that have a role in suicidal thoughts, suicide attempts and a complete suicide. The aim of this study was to evaluate the relationship between borderline and schizotypal personality with suicidal thoughts among students. For this purpose, in a descriptive correlational study, 250 students of Shiraz University of Medical Sciences were evaluated in terms of borderline personality, schizotypal personality characteristics and suicidal thoughts. The result of partial correlation test results indicated that all borderline and schizotypal characters have positive and significant relationship with suicidal thoughts. However, only despair, paranoia and dissociative symptoms related to stress and paranoid suspiciousness / social anxiety could significantly predict their suicidal thoughts. According to the results of this research, it can be said that normal individuals who have borderline and schizotypal traits of personalities, should be investigated on their suicidal thoughts. In order to prevent suicide in people with borderline personality characteristics, they should be treated on the properties of their despair and paranoid symptoms. People who have a streak of schizotypal personality, should also be taken into consideration on their paranoid suspiciousness and social anxiety characteristics. Manuscript profile

Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is the sets of individual’s reactions following exposure to an extreme stressor. The aim of this study is to compare the meaning of life, suicidal thoughts and cognitive distortions between women who experience PTSD after trauma and women who does not experience PTSD after trauma. For this purpose, during a comparative study, 200 women who had been exposed to traumatic events in Gilane Gharb were selected by simple random sampling method and allocated into two groups (with and without PTSD symptoms) based on clinical interview and the cut off point of 107 on the scale of post-traumatic stress disorder. All the subjects in both groups were individually evaluated for meaning of life, suicidal thoughts and cognitive distortions. Multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA) showed that the mean scores of subjects with PTSD were significantly lower than the other group in cognitive distortion and meaning of life and its subcomponents such as; the meaning present in life, and the search for meaning in life; however, it was significantly higher in suicidal thoughts and its subcomponents including; tendency to death, preparation for suicide, and suicide completion tendencies. Given the importance of meaning in life, suicidal thoughts and cognitive distortions among PTSD patients, it is critical to prioritize these topics in therapeutic interventions and derive a formulation to reduce suicidal thoughts and cognitive distortions in order to increase mental health among patients.
