AbstractThe purpose of this study was to determine the effective of the training program of executive functions on improving levels of theory of mind in children with attention deficit / hyperactivity disorder. The research method was semi-experimental with post-test pre-test with control group. The study population included all 6- to 8-year-old children in Tabriz, of whom 30 were selected by convenience sampling and randomly assigned to experimental (15) and control (15) groups. Then the Theory of Mind Questionnaire (Hutchins, Perlock , Bonazinga , 2012) was completed by parents of both groups. After performing the pre-test, the experimental group was trained in the executive functions program. The program was designed by researchers and consisted of 24 sessions in which 4 skills (working memory, inhibition, flexibility and attention training) were taught, At this stage, the children in the control group did not receive any training. The post-test was performed again and the data obtained from the pre-test and post-test were analyzed using analysis of covariance. The data showed a significant difference between the control and experimental groups in the post-test of variable theory of mind scores after adjusting for the effect of pre-test of theory of mind(P<01). Based on this study, it can be suggested that improving the executive functions can increase the levels of theory of mind. Manuscript profile

The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of academic buoyancy and academic self- handicapping on life satisfaction of second high school students through the mediation of adolescent perception of parenting educational methods by path analysis. The statistical population included students of Arak city who were studying mathematics, experimental and humanities in the Second Period public high schools and were selected by multi-stage cluster sampling method. The number of sample people was considered as 719 students, considering the probability of failure in completing the questionnaires. Data collection tools included Academic Boyancy Questionnaire (Dehghanizadeh & Hossein Chari), Academic Self- handicapping (ASHS) ( Schwinger & Stiensmeier-Pelster), Multidimensional Students’ Life Satisfaction (MSLSS) (Huebner) and Adolescent Perception of Parenting Educational Methods (POPS)( Robbins). The obtained data were analyzed by the structural equation model of latent variable type. In order to verify the model's fit, the values of the ratio of chi-square to degree of freedom, (RMSEA), (CFI), (NFI), (TLI), (IFI) and Cronbach's alpha were reported that indicate appropriate model reliability. Findings showed that buoyancy and academic self- handicapping have a direct and significant effect on life satisfaction and adolescent perception of parenting educational methods. The direct effect of the mediating variable on life satisfaction was also confirmed. By doing this research, by observing educational problems or lack of mental health and identifying the factors affecting it in students, appropriate programs can be implemented to increase life satisfaction in students. The aim of this study was to investigate the mediating role of emotion regulation in the relationship between behavioral brain systems with coping strategies and self-efficacy in methadone addicts. The method used in this study is descriptive correlation; the statistical population in this study includes all methadone addicts referred to Modares Psychiatric Center in February and March 2017 and April 2016, from which 195 people were randomly selected as a sample. Data collection tools were Wilson, Gary and Bart (1989) Personality Questionnaire, Styles Against Stress Billings and Moss (1981), Schwartz and Jerusalem (1979) General Self-Efficacy Questionnaire, and Gratz & Roemer (2004) Emotion Regulation. The results of structural equations showed that behavioral brain systems are effective on coping strategies, emotion regulation and self-efficacy and emotion regulation is effective on coping strategies and self-efficacy (P 05 0.05). The results also showed that the model has a good fit and explains 62% of the effect of total behavioral brain systems on coping strategies through emotion regulation mediator and 29% of the effect of total behavioral brain systems on self-efficacy through emotion regulation mediator.
