Abstract :
The aim of this study was to compare the effectiveness of Bowen's system therapy and the combination therapy of Bowen's system and neurofeedback on reducing students' anxiety. This study was a semi-experimental pretest-posttest design and follow-up with a control group. The statistical society of the study included students of higher education centers in Bojnourd city who were studying in 1398-99. From the target population, 5 centers were randomly selected. The students of these centers, who had severely and very severely anxious in the initialAnxiety(Zung, 1971) screening test, were selected and 30 members of the selected group were selected through random selection and random substitution in the two experimental group and one control group, the number of persons in each group was ten. The first group received 9 sessions of Bowen's system therapy, the second group simultaneously received 9 sessions of Bowen's system therapy and 15sessions neurofeedback therapy. Date were collected through Zung Anxiety Questionnaire(1971).for Analyzing the data, multivariate analysis of covariance in SPSS software was used. multivariate analysis of covariance indicated that the combination therapy of Bowen's system and neurofeedback reduced the level of anxiety and its symptoms(p<0/001) and Bowen system therapy reduced emotional anxiety symptoms(p<0/05). also, The results of pairwise comparison based on LSD test showed that combination therapy of Bowen's system and neurofeedback due to the simultaneous use of biological and psychological feedback had a significant and greater effectiveness in reducing the level of anxiety and its symptoms(p<0/001).
