The purpose of the present research was to explore the academic performance relationship with self-regulated learning, and academic burnout of Ardabil city high schools in 2010-11. The statistical sample of this research was included 379 high school students (197 boys, 182 girls) of Ardabil city. They were selected by multi-stage cluster sampling method irrespective of their field and year of study. The tools used in this research were three questionnaires: MSLQ, Berso’s academic burnout and average grade of academic semester in 2010-11. The results showed that there was a positive relationship between self-regulated learning and academic performance. However, there was a negative relationship between of academic burnout dimensions and academic performance. The results of multiple regression showed that academic burnout had a better capability in predicting the academic performance in comparison with self-regulated learning and path analysis showed that the academic burnout variable was the only variable, which was able to have a direct influence on the academic performance of students. On the other hand, the results of Hotlling t2 showed that there was a significant difference among the combination of three dependent variables in the two groups of female and male students. For an exact study, independent t-tests were used for all of the variables and the results showed that there was a significant difference between female and male students, just in term of academic performance. The present study is an attempt to analyze the content of Prospect textbooks taught at the Iranian junior high schools according to the generative learning framework. Based on the four main processes of generative theory (motivation, learning, meaning making, generation), a checklist was developed. Four experts in TEFL and 21 English teachers were asked to analyze 9 selected lessons from the books. The content validity of the checklist was confirmed by the 4 experts and the intra- and inter-rater reliability indices showed a significant reliability level. Then, interval evaluation was used for the analysis of the obtained means. The results showed that the textbooks were evaluated as successful according to the generation criterion, moderate regarding meaning making criterion and weak in terms of learning and motivation criteria. Furthermore, the books were evaluated as weak regarding their generalizability power to non-learning contexts (which is an important aspect of communicative approaches) as well as motivation, developing thinking skills and raising awareness and attention criteria. Some suggestions are made for the improvement of generalizability of learning to out-of-class contexts, thinking skills and motivation in texts, exercises and tasks. Manuscript profile

The purpose of high school preparing graduate for life after high school by teaching the skills and knowledge that are essential for readiness to enter the university and the labor market. The main purpose of this study is, construction and factor analysis of ranking high schools measurement model. this research According to purpose is applied research and according of method in the category of descriptive research. To achieve goals, Before of factor analysis, to examine the adequacy of the test sample use KMO test And To ensure that correlation matrix basic for factor analysis in the population is not zero use the Bartlett's sphericity test. for the exploratory factor analysis data, varimax rotation of principal components analysis was used. The main factor to determine the number of indicators were used: a) the particular value b) the proportion of variance explained by each factor, and c) charts of special values. Results Exploratory factor analysis revealed three factors and 15 sub-indices in the ranking high schools and then using confirmed factor analysis the model of ranking with the standardized coefficients was constructed. The purpose of this study was to present a model for promoting the professional ethics of high school principals in Tehran. The method of conducting research is mixed (qualitative-quantitative). In order to conduct this research, in addition to the documentary study, the content analysis technique with MAXQDA12 software was used to identify the dimensions and components. The statistical population in this study were all experts in the field of educational management and higher education management, which was conducted after 25 theoretical saturation interviews. Finally, 5 dimensions, 19 components and 83 indicators were identified. Validity was obtained through 4 experts and by two colleagues and reliability of the Copa formula (0.633). The structural equation method of smartpls3 software was used to draw the model. The results showed that socio-cultural dimensions (0.668), educational attention (0.574), behavioral factors (0.567), organizational (0.446) and individual (0.345) were the most important in the professional ethics promotion model of high school principals in Tehran, respectively. The validity of the model was evaluated with 5 dimensions (philosophy and goals, implementation steps, executive mechanism, theoretical foundations and feedback, correction and re-engineering) which showed high validity of the model.
