This analytical-descriptive study aimed to determine the behavioral pattern of two prominent characters in the story of Fereydoun and Zahhak after clarifying the relationship between basic human needs and the process of developing myths while relying on the educational function of myths and Glasser’s choice theory. The scale for the real world and the favorable world is in the context of ancient Iranian thought and epic characteristics, which can be recited by a narrator. Zahhak is the pattern of characters who have ineffective and irresponsible behavior to balance the images of the favorable world and what they perceive. Accepting the killing of his father and then self-indulgence and self-praise of Zahhak are two back wheels of emotion and physiology in behavior machine. Therefore, he has received a saddening message and his cycle of behavior continues for supplying the need for power. In addition, he is deprived of a meaningful and emotional relationship. On the other hand, Fereydoun is the pattern of characters who have more effective and responsible behavior after receiving a saddening message while maintaining its meaningful and emotional relationship with others to meet his need for power with the help of others. Moreover, his behavior is the domination of two front wheels (i.e., thought and action) over the other two components .The comparison and conflict of the perceptual world, the favorable world and choosing the behavior of these two while considering four cognitive, interpersonal, personal and emotional realms determine the ability of the educational role of the story. The present study aimed to compare the effect of training successful marriage and that of training choice theory on the marital choice the young couples make. The method applied was quasi-experimental with a design in the form of pre-test, post-test and follow-up. The statistical population included newly married couples in Isfahan who had visited psychological consultants in the summer of 2019. Through subjective sampling, 45 couples were selected and then randomly divided into three groups: two experimental groups and one control group each of which included 15 couples. In order to measure the dependent variable, a researcher-made marital-choice questionnaire(Khanbani et al, 2014) was conducted. The group of successful marriage and the group of choice theory were both trained for 5 ninety-minute sessions but the control group did not receive any training. The results indicated that in terms of the variable of emotional choice, there was only a significant  difference between  the group of  successful marriage  and   the  group of choice theory in the post-test stage (p<0.05).Also, in the follow-up stage, there was only a significant difference between the group of successful marriage and the group of choice theory versus the control group(p<0.01).Likewise, in terms of the forced-choice variable, a significant difference was found only in the follow-up stage between the group of successful marriage and the group of choice theory versus the control group(p<0.05). Given the positive effect of training successful marriage and of training choice theory on encouraging the young couples to make logical choice in marriage, it is suggested that clinics and/or centers providing marital advisory service apply the mentioned training courses to prevent the undesired consequences of compulsory and/or emotional marriage. Multiple sclerosis (MS) is considered as one of the most important causes of mortality and disability in advanced and developing countries. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of group therapy on emotional control and life expectancy in MS patients based on the choice theory. This quasi-experimental study was conducted with pre-test and post-test design along with control group. The statistical population consisted of all MS patients referring to the MS Association of Tehran in 2017. Williams' Emotional Control Questionnaire and Miller's Life Expectancy Questionnaire were used. Data were analyzed by descriptive and inferential statistics using covariance analysis. The results showed that reality therapy based on choice theory was effective on emotional control and life expectancy. There is a significant difference between patients with MS in experimental and control groups, at least for one of the variables of life expectancy and emotional control. Reality therapy can improve psychological state of the patients with MS and increases their life expectancy through bringing the qualitative world closer to the real world of the patients. It can lead to self-esteem and motivation, life expectancy and effective management of negative emotional control. Manuscript profile

This study aimed to compare the effect of training choice theory principles and training ACT principles on self-differentiation in high school students. The method was experimental with pre-test, post-test with control group and follow-up. The statistical population consisted all high school students in Rasht in academic year of 2019-2018. After assessing, 45 students who had self-differentiation below the cut-point were chosen and then randomly divided into three groups of 15, two intervention groups and a control group. For the first intervention group, the choice theory and for the second group ACT principals were taught in 8 sessions and the control group did not receive any training. After 3 month groups had follow-up. To determine the effect of the intervention program, a pre-test, post-test and follow-up were conducted using the Skowron & Schmitt (2003) Self-differentiation Test. Data were analyzed using multivariate covariance (MANCOVA) analysis. The findings showed that intervention groups were significantly different in the post-test, compared to the control group in self-differentiation. The rate of self-differentiation increase after intervention and the size of this increase was higher in the choice theory group. The result showed that choice theory training has greater effect than ACT training on increasing self-differentiation. Manuscript profile

Introduction: The purpose of this research was to investigate the effectiveness of Glaser's Choice Theory training on marital burnout and family instability in couples with a military wife in Kerman.Method: The research method was semi-experimental with experimental and control groups. The statistical population of this research included all the couples who referred to family counseling centers in Kerman city in the first three months of 2012. 30 of them were selected as available and randomly replaced in two experimental (15 people) and control (15 people) groups. Glaser's choice theory training intervention was conducted in 8 weekly sessions for 90 minutes. In order to collect data, questionnaires of marital dissatisfaction and family instability were used. In order to analyze the data, descriptive statistics tests (mean and standard deviation) and univariate covariance analysis were used with SPSS version 24 software. Results: The results showed that Glaser's choice theory training had a significant effect on marital dissatisfaction and family stability in couples with military spouses (P<0.001). Eta square showed that Glaser's choice theory training explains 49% of changes in marital dissatisfaction and 58% of family instability in couples with military spouses. Conclusion: According to the results of this research, it is suggested to use Glaser's choice theory training in reducing marital dissatisfaction and family instability in couples with military spouses.Extended Abstract Introduction: Many variables play a role in the emergence of marital conflicts and tensions and the desire for divorce. Job and job stress are considered as one of the most important factors affecting the health and functioning of the family. One of the jobs with high stress and special complexity are military jobs, which are combined with stress, being away from family and living in difficult conditions, and this stress creates significant consequences in the family environment. The existence of job requirements of military personnel (mission, training, guarding, etc.) is sometimes associated with the intolerance and dissatisfaction of their families, such as stress, conflicts, marital incompatibility. For this reason, some couples can't tolerate such conditions and finally they are satisfied with leaving their jobs or their family conditions lead to marital boredom, divorce and separation. Burnout is defined as a state of physical, emotional and mental fatigue that occurs in the conditions of long-term conflict with emotional demands. Another variable influencing the relationship between couples is family stability. The stability of married life is a situation in which couples enjoy relative peace and tranquility and bring love through mutual understanding and care and support each other without any intention to break their marriage and against any A relationship that does not have the mentioned characteristics leads to instability and unsustainability of married life. One of the effective treatments to reduce the psychological problems of couples is Glasser's choice theory training. Choice theory is about choosing better; But before that, each person should understand the reason for their bad choices. Choice theory states that it is we who choose all our actions, including our feelings of misery. Group reality therapy training is based on choice theory and its main goal is to motivate clients to take practical actions to change the current unwanted conditions. With the increase of marital conflicts in Iran and the high prevalence of psychological injuries as well as the importance of couples' communication with each other, it seems necessary to identify effective and efficient interventions in order to be more productive in the relationships between military spouses. Glaser's choice theory training has a significant effect on increasing compatibility and improving marital social-communicative skills. Considering what has been said and also the lack of research that has investigated all the variables of the current research in one study, therefore the current research aims to determine the effectiveness of Glaser's choice theory training on marital dissatisfaction and family instability in married couples. Kerman city military was carried out.Method: The research method was semi-experimental with experimental and control groups. Conclusion: According to the results of this research, it is suggested to use Glaser's choice theory training in reducing marital dissatisfaction and family instability in couples with military spouses. In explaining these findings, it can be said that marital dissatisfaction occurs when they realize that despite all their efforts, their relationship has not and will not give meaning to life. Because communication skills reduce the negative aspects of interpersonal relationships and create satisfaction and positive attitude, therefore it reduces apathy and apathy. Among the applications of Glaser's choice theory methods are strengthening self-confidence and self-respect, equipping people with tools and methods to deal with environmental and psychological pressures, helping to strengthen and develop friendly, useful and healthy relationships, improving the level of healthy and useful social behaviors. Is. If the way of communicating with people-clients-is intimate, friendly and positive, the times of life and work will be pleasant, and on the contrary, if the type of this communication is hostile and combined with negative emotions, it will make it exhausting to bear every moment of it. Glaser's reality therapy teaches couples the correct way to interact, reduces frustration and violence, and increases the stability of the family, so it can be concluded that Glaser's choice theory techniques are effective in increasing the stability of the couple's family. Among the limitations of this research, it can be said that the subjects were couples with military spouses from Kerman city, which should be cautious in generalizing the results. Based on the results of this research, it is suggested to use choice theory training for couples with other psychological problems. It is suggested to study the effect of teaching choice theory in civilian couples as well as in the early years of life. Keywords: Glaser's choice theory, marital dissatisfaction, family instability, couples, military.AcknowledgementsWe hereby thank and appreciate all the participants in this research. FundingGlaser's choice theory training had a significant effect on the marital dissatisfaction and family instability in couples with military spouses. The aim of this study was The Effectiveness of Virtual Happiness Training With a choice Theory on Hope and Anxiety Covid-19 of Female Teachers in Coronavirus Epidemic. This study was a quasi-experimental study with pre-test and post-test design and control group. The statistical population included female teachers with Covid-19 anxiety in Ardakan in 1399. By voluntary sampling method, 20 people were selected as a sample and randomly replaced in two groups of 10 experimental and control. Participants answered the virtual questionnaires of coronary heart disease Alipour et al (2020) and Omid Snyder (1991) in the pre-test, post-test stages. The intervention group received the Virtual Happiness Training based on Selection Theory in 8 one-hour sessions and two sessions per week, while the control group didn’t receive any intervention during the study. Research data were analyzed by multivariate analysis of covariance at the significance level of 0.05. The results showed that in the post-test group, the mean scores of Covid-19 anxiety were significantly reduced (p < 0.001) and the mean scores of hope were significantly increased (p < 0.001). It is suggested that the effect of virtual happiness education based on choice theory be considered as an effective intervention method in reducing Covid-19 anxiety and improving hope. According to William Glasser's choice theory, a "Quality World" is a set of images about life that man has in mind for a good life; these images represent the world in which he/she aspires to live. They are similar to those portrayed by Muslim mystics through the interpretation of the holy books and personal discovery and intuition. The present article, by using descriptive-analytical method, attempts to study the views of Ayn al-Quzat Hamadani and Ruzbehan Baqli about "Quality World" based on Glasser's choice theory. In the mystical literary discourse, the "Quality World" is important because the mystics, by drawing a picture of their ideal world, have led their followers to an accessible world; however, sometimes their ideal world is an abstract and inaccessible one. They depict their lived experiences in metaphorical language and interpret a surreal world in their realist texts. Ayn al-Quzat Hamadani and Ruzbehan Baqli describe the "Quality World" with terms such as "divine majesty", "Face of God", "archangelic world", "the garden of eternity" and "eternal world"; in this world, the connection with the Almighty and the annihilation of God is realized. These two mystics change the mental images of people by using a variety of descriptive methods and lead them to a qauality world - albeit an abstract one - in which inherent desires, such as calmness and meaningfulness of life, prevail.          This study aimed to compare the effectiveness of the choice theory and optimism training on the sense of coherence among students. The research method was quasi-experimental with pretest-posttest design and control group and follow-up for two months. 120 female students were selected by convenience sampling method and responded to Sense of Coherence Scale (Antonovsky, 1987). Then 60 students with the lowest scores of the sense of coherence were randomly assigned to 3 groups including 2 experimental groups and one control group. The students of experimental groups participated in choice theory and optimism courses in 8 sessions. All the 3 groups were evaluated by post-test at the end of the courses and after 2 months in follow-up. The results showed that both choice theory and optimism training significantly increased sense of coherence among students, but choice theory training had more effectiveness. According to the findings of this study and the importance of the sense of coherence, both choice theory and optimism courses can be useful methods to educate students, but choice theory training is recommended as a more effective method. The dramatic increase in the Internet for buying and ordering goods or services in Iran has faced researchers and managers with new challenges in understanding consumer behavior. The main purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of emotional factors on consumer response to online shopping with the mediating role of rational choice theory. To collect the data, an online questionnaire was distributed among 384 online users of Digikala with a validity and reliability coefficient of 0.875 Descriptive statistics, inferential statistics and structural equations have been used to analyze research data and test hypotheses. The results showed that emotional factors can directly and indirectly affect the consumer reaction with the mediating role of logical factors. Personalized ads tailored to the customer's preferences play an important role in their intent to buy, and if users feel secure about providing their information to the store, their emotional vulnerability can be reduced. The main purpose of this study was to investigate the role of the components of choice theory in entrepreneurship. This research is applied-developmental in purpose and is correlational descriptive in terms of research method. The statistical population of this study was associate and bachelor students of Ferdowsi and Applied Science universities of Mashhad. As the statistical population was uncountable (more than 1000 people), the sample size was determined 384 people by random sampling based on Morgan table. In order to collect data, entrepreneurship assessment questionnaires (Skarborov and Zimmerer, 2006) and needs assessment based on choice theory (Sahebi, 2002) have been used. The reliability of the Entrepreneurship Questionnaire is 0.87 and the dimensions of the choice theory are 0.91 based on Cronbach's alpha coefficient. And their validity has been confirmed by professors and experts. Data analysis was performed at two levels of descriptive and inferential statistics through SPSS and LISREL software. The results showed that there is a positive and significant relationship between the components of choice theory and entrepreneurship. And the most relevant component is the need to survive with entrepreneurship at the rate of 0.719. To investigate the extent and the degree of the impact of each component of choice theory on entrepreneurship, the structural equation has been used and the designed model has been approved. AbstractThe present article looks closely into the tale of Zal and Roudabeh from the perspective of psychological approach. Employing descriptive analytic method with particular emphasis on the concept of love according to William Glasser, the purpose of this article is to explore one of the factors that connect love and wisdom in the tale.  Glasser equates love to commitment that in turn like many other man’s functions is a behavior shown under the influence of wisdom.  To achieve this end, apart from explaining Zal’s most vital need, the need for love and belonging the behaviors of the leading characters are revealed far from their habitual improper acts to throw light on their roles to attain utmost love. Zal, Roudabeh, maids, Sindokht, Sam, Manouchehr, and Mehrab all in turn with their committed behavior based on dialogues and wise conversations, and controlling their destructive habits, gradually managed to change the horizons of their ideal worlds and upon acceptance of unity of conflicts and oppositions could pave the way to take the journey within the inner circles of Mandala figure starting with the largest circle of love between Zal and Roudabeh and continue to take the path towards the unifying centre where lies the ultimate love.  Since in language, no two words are hundred percent synonymous, commitment is an element connected on one side to wisdom and on another to love.  Therefore, taking this tale as a model, one can regard commitment as one of the elements connecting love with wisdom.  Manuscript profile

All children, usually, are affected by different illnesses during the period of infancy and childhood; however, some sicknesses such as cancer impose conditions that afflict the daily lives of children and their families. Since resiliency is the ability to be proactive and effective instead of being reactive and passive in response to stressful situations, the aim of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of reality therapy on resilience in mothers with children afflicted by cancer. For this purpose, in a semi-experimental study with pre-test, post-test, and control group design, 20 volunteer mothers of children with cancer, hospitalized in Haematology/Oncology ward, were selected through convenience sampling method and assigned to experimental and control groups (n = 10). The subjects in the experimental group received ten sessions of individual reality therapy. The control group received no intervention. Subjects in both groups were evaluated for resiliency before and after the intervention. The analysis of data using analysis of covariance showed that the impact of reality therapy on resilience in mothers was meaningful and significant. It seems that teaching reality therapy is effective on resilience in mothers of children diagnosed with cancer. Manuscript profile
