Abstract :
This research aims to compile the behavioral pattern of two prominent characters of the story, Moses and Shaban, based on the theory of choice, in an analytical-descriptive way, relying on Glaser's theory of choice. Glaser is, presenting the theory of choice, played an important role in changing the psychology of external control to internal control with an emphasis on responsibility, realism and choice. The choice theory says that all that comes from us is behavior and all behaviors are selected and that we are always motivated by genes and from within to fulfill our five basic needs: the need for love and a sense of belonging, power and progress, freedom, fun and survive. According to this theory, we all have a world called the ideal world.A certain mental image of an ideal world that we would like to live in if possible, which is the core of our lives. , by examining this story based on the theory of choice, we found that Moses and Shaban each chose different ways for themselves. Shaban has chosen the way of analogy and Moses has chosen the way of tanziyeh. Considering his prophetic power and spiritual authority, Moses denied choosing the shepherd and condemned him. God blames Moses and reminds him of his responsibility. In this way, the shepherd's choice is approved and provided by God, and he leaves the hundred-year path in Al-Aini's direction, and ascends from the valley of the Sharia to the valley of the Tariqat, and reaches the truth.
