The current research was conducted with the aim of investigating and evaluating the strategies for providing sustainable financial resources in Marvdasht Municipality. In this research, along with evaluating and analyzing the revenue sources of Morvdasht municipality in a five-year period (2018-2022), introducing sustainable financial resources and evaluating the potential strategies of providing these financial resources in this municipality. The research method in this study is descriptive-survey, cross-sectional and applied. The research data were analyzed using SPSS software and in two formats, descriptive statistics and inferential statistics (including: T-TEST of two independent groups, SWOT analytical model and Student's t-test). The research findings from the comparison of the average of two independent communities (administrators and researchers) on the issue of stable and unstable incomes of Marovdasht Municipality indicate a lack of mutual understanding between the two groups regarding the previous activities of the urban management system. In addition, the results of this research showed that the income from public tolls and the income from municipal funds and properties are among the stable sources of income, and donations, gifts, and assets are among the most unstable municipal incomes. Also, by evaluating the score of internal strategic factors in the form of strengths and weaknesses and evaluating the score of external strategic factors in the form of opportunities and threats, it was determined that this score is placed in the conservative strategy section.           Tehran with over 10,000,000 populations has an inadequate transportation system.  One of the solutions to Tehran transportation system’s problem is development of sustainable urban transportation systems such as an underground rail system called metro.  Tehran is benefiting of such a system since few years ago and now several lines with many stations are under construction.  Despite its partial completion metro is already is accepted as a satisfactory mode of transportation in Tehran.    Although some of the effective factors on trip satisfaction is related to speed, scheduling, safety and so forth, in this article a model is proposed in which the trip satisfaction as one of the sustainable urban transportation indices is studied against users' personal characteristics, and investigates the affective independent parameters. Therefore the research hypothesis is to examine the effects of users' personal characteristics on metro trip satisfaction.  The aim of this article is to develop an optimum model to predict the metro trip satisfaction level through personal characteristics.  Data is gathered through questionnaire survey.    Two metro stations in vicinity of two universities of "Sharif" and "Iran Science and Technology" were selected for comparative purposes.  160 questionnaires were distributed equally within the neighborhoods in vicinity of the two metro stations. Also 240 questionnaires were distributed among metro passengers at the stations.  Two major dependent variables were measures, "metro trip satisfaction level" and "metro trip satisfaction level in comparison with other transportation means".  The independent variables are gender, age, education, occupation, place of work, distance from metro station and finally the reason for using metro. The results show that two variables of "distance from metro station" and "place of work have correlations with both dependent variables.  Also "education level has a very high correlation with "metro trip satisfaction level".  Considering the type of the data, for nominal data (gender and occupation), chi square, and for rank order data (age groups and education level), Gamma statistics were used for correlation study.    The statistical analysis shows that the distance from metro station, place of work, and age are important and affecting the metro trip satisfaction level. While these statistics show the existence of relationship between variables, it does not provide a predictive model for behavior, which is of high importance for planning and design of urban environments.  A regression analysis is need to build a predictive model, however due to variation in data which includes nominal as well as ordinal a rank-order regression model is used.   This analysis shows that there is a much higher potential for selecting metro as a transportation mode for lower educated users than for higher educated ones.  Also it shows that an increase in age would contribute to possibility of using metro as a satisfying means of transportation.  Also the analysis shows that the lower distance to metro stations, would increase trip satisfaction   level with metro.  There are planning implications for these results including that in proximity to metro stations, job locations must concentrate, while sport and cultural facilities with younger users could be located further away.           The application of sustainability theory, as one of the new approaches, has enjoyed the spotlight among many of urban pioneers and scholars. This research intends to study the possibility of utilizing the sustainability theory in an executive framework and its direct application in urban plans. In this regard, the location allocation viewpoint of Office Parks, as one of significant executive policies in Iranian provincial authorities, is evaluated. The research method is divided in two stages. The first stage is comprised of a descriptive method in identifying the meanings and epistemology of sustainable development as well as office park approaches. Then in second stage the research introduces some indicators in both approaches and evaluates them using a comparative method. Four criteria of economic, environmental, physical, and social considerations are compared in two approaches. Ultimately, the result reveals a satisfactory accordance in almost all of the criteria within the sustainability and office park viewpoints. The highest conformity is in environmental considerations and the least is defined in physical features. Notwithstanding, there are some executive limitations that are highlighted in this research. It is believed that by removing of those barriers the optimum benefit can be achieved in the allocation of office parks. Manuscript profile

The principal objective of the present Research is to identify the social factors effective on the women's role-playing in the sustainable urban development of Arak city. The concept of women’s social capacity in the development projects has attracted the attention of policy makers and social policy authorities due to the fact that the roles of national governments have been weakened by globalization, thus, it has made the capacities of local communities a viable solution to the development problems. The theoretical framework of the research was developed based on the theories that explain the relationship between gender and development including feminist theories, capacity theory, theory of urban sustainable system, Bourdieu theory of masculine domination, theory of urban attachment. Based on the samplimg plan developed among women with ages above 20 from 55 neiborhoods in 5 district in Arak, the research was carried out using survey method and researcher-made questionnaire. Cluster and inappropriate stratified samplings with 392 individuals as the sample volume were used. The research results confirm the hypotheses based on which factors effecting the role of women in sustainable urban development of Arak city include: capital amount available for women (such as social capital, cultural capital, and economic capital); city’s capacity to supply the citizens’ needs; housing welfare conditions; gender stereotyes dominating the family; education, being native or not; employment; city attachment; believing in gender segregation in development; gender discrimination feeling, and development-related talents. Finally, based on regression analysis, the independent variables’ power used in explaining the dependent variable variance was 35 percent. Manuscript profile

Background and Objective In recent decades, with the acceleration of urbanization and the growth of migration to cities, the physical structure of cities has undergone extensive changes. To implement these changes, regardless of the ecological capacities and requirements of sustainable urban development, cities are facing many challenges. One of these challenges is determining the appropriate areas for the physical expansion of the city for the establishment of urban development. One of the most reliable methods to determine the appropriate directions and areas for urban development by considering environmental conditions and characteristics is the land suitability assessment. Such an assessment greatly contributes to sustainable land use and solving environmental problems caused by rapid urban development. Land suitability assessment aims to identify the most appropriate spatial pattern for future land uses considering the ecological potential of the area. Since many criteria need to be considered and analyzed in the selection of appropriate lands for urban development, it is necessary to use the most effective techniques to identify the best locations for future urban expansion. The Geographic Information System is such a technique, having its most useful application in the land suitability assessment method. In setting the importance of the criteria used and computing the weights of factors, GIS tools must be integrated with other methods to improve the results. Given that, the present study attempted to evaluate the land suitability to determine suitable areas for the establishment of urban development of Bam city through the integration of the Multi-Criteria Decision-Making approach, Fuzzy Logic, and Geographic Information System.Materials and Methods To achieve the objectives of this study, with the help of a group of experts, and an extensive review of the related literature, all the criteria and sub-criteria essential to the establishment of urban development were identified as the first step. To this end, a questionnaire was designed and distributed among the group of experts and they were asked to express their opinions on the identified criteria and sub-criteria. To determine the required sample size and population, Morgan’s sampling table was employed. Consequently, 9 criteria and 13 sub-criteria were selected for the land suitability assessment in this study. Multi-Criteria Decision-Making method and Expert-Choice software were used to compare and weigh the previously determined criteria and sub-criteria. As the next step, all the data layers were standardized by the fuzzy logic method using ArcGIS software. The scale of the maps used in this research is 1:100000 and the resolution of digital layers is 90×90 meters. After assigning calculated weights to each data layer, they were overlaid using the Weighted Linear Combination method and fuzzy sum technique. Results and Discussion The results from MCDM analysis revealed that three sub-criteria namely distance from major faults, distance from drinking water wells, and soil texture had the highest weights among other factors at 0.235, 0.117, and 0.114, respectively. The inconsistency calculated for the pairwise comparison in this study was 0.07, which is below the 0.1 thresholds. Analysis of the final raster suitability map, resulting from overlaying data layers, showed that the highest and the lowest pixel values were 0.481 and 0.07, respectively. To perform a more accurate analysis, the final suitability map was classified into four suitability classes (medium, low, very low, and undevelopable) indicating that 24% of the studied area equivalent to 189965.2 hectares, categorized as having medium suitability, 34% low equivalent to 268854.3 hectares, 22% very low equivalent to 178695.7 hectares, and 20% undevelopable equivalent to 160762/3 hectares for the establishment of urban development. The medium suitable areas are mainly located in the east, northwest, and to a lesser extent in the center, mostly away from the major fault lines, while the areas of very low suitability and undevelopable are mainly located in the west and south of the area studied. Due to their proximity to protected areas, mountainous, fault lines, and hills, these areas do not demonstrate the appropriate suitability for the establishment of urban development. Conclusion This study was conducted to identify and determine suitable areas for the establishment of urban development in Bam city using a combination of the Multi-Criteria Decision-Making approach, Geographic Information System, and Fuzzy Logic technique. All the criteria and sub-criteria, used to conduct this study, have been determined using a questionnaire and considering the environmental conditions and socio-economic characteristics of the studied area. As a result, 9 criteria including water resources, climate, topography, geology, soil, areas under the Department of Environment Management, roads, population centers, and land use, and 13 sub-criteria including distance from surface and groundwater resources, climate, wind speed, slope, altitude, distance from the main faults, geology, soil texture, distance from protected areas, distance from roads, distance from built-up urban areas and land use were selected for this study. Expert Choice and ArcGIS software were employed for pairwise comparison and standardization and overlaying data layers. It was found that 24% of the studied area equivalent to 189965.2 hectares can be categorized as medium suitability for the establishment of urban development. Based on the final results, it is concluded that the integration of the Multi-Criteria Decision-Making approach, Fuzzy Logic, and Geographic Information System can provide sufficient tools to determine the areas suitable for urban development and present a detailed analysis of these areas according to the characteristics of the area for future planning.               Providing and promoting the level of happiness and vitality of citizens is one of the most important pillars of quality of life in urban spaces Which in recent decades, has attracted increasing attention from experts and urban planners and Has been raised as one of the most important goals of governments and the United Nations. The purpose of this quantitative and applied study has been done using a combination of descriptive-analytical and exploratory methods, is a study and analyze the situation of Shad city and identify its determinants in small urban spaces Which has been done as a case study in Ravansar city which is part of Kermanshah province. The statistical population of the study includes 7122 heads of households and among them with Using sample size calculation methods, 364 people were estimated as a statistical sample and the samples were selected completely randomly. The main research tool for collecting field data is a researcher-made questionnaire whose validity and reliability have been confirmed. The results showed that among the three indicators of a happy city (Social, physical and economic indicators) The average of social index with the value of 3.124 was significantly higher than the average of base (number 3) and The average of two physical and economic indicators respectively with values of 2.608 and 2.587, Have been significantly lower than the baseline mean. The results of the survey showed the general condition of the city happy the average calculated with the value of 2.788 Has been significantly below average. Regarding the determinants of a happy city, the results showed Due to the four identified key factors, 61.956% of the variance of the dependent variable has been explained. These factors and the percentage of variance of their specific value in order of importance are: Physical stability (21.041), Socio-cultural sustainability (16.4), Economic Stability (13.151) and Environmental sustainability (11.356). The identified factors seem to be a subset of the macro factor "integrated and efficient urban management" and Promoting this factor, as the main source of most policies and planning, can have a significant impact on the realization of a happy city in the study area.Extended AbstractIntroduction:One of the most important pillars of social sustainability and achieving sustainable development is to improve the quality of life of residents of different residential spaces for which several dimensions and components can be considered. Meanwhile, happiness and vitality are one of the most important psychological components of quality of life. Evidence shows that human society is always looking for more peace, well-being, happiness and vitality in their lives in order to improve the quality of life. The importance of happiness and symbols among citizens is such that in most societies, more joy and happiness than life is a major goal and indicator. In expressing the importance of happiness in the development of urban spaces, it is sufficient to mention that the main goal of governments is to provide more happiness to citizens and to provide vitality and happiness of citizens is one of the ultimate goals of sustainable urban development and one of the central concepts of sustainable development since 2000. It is considered later in the UN debate. Studies also show that happiness has a direct effect on the life expectancy index of citizens and is associated with feelings of successful outcomes in people's lives; In a way, happier people are more successful in life than others. Because of the importance of the happiness index in the sustainable development of urban spaces, according to Montgomery (the first theorist of the happy city), a city after meeting basic needs such as food and housing, should provide the following: the city should maximize pleasure and hardship Reduce; Lead us to health instead of disease; Give us the real freedom, movement and construction of life we desire; Allocate space, services, facilities, pleasure and entertainment, difficulty and cost among people in a fair way; Above all, it empowers us to build and strengthen groups between friends, family, and strangers that give meaning to life and must acknowledge and share our common destiny, and open the door to solidarity, cooperation, and cooperation, as well as to us. It will help us to meet the greatest challenge of the contemporary century, namely happiness. Decreasing the level and amount of happiness and vitality among citizens, reduces the sense of social cooperation and group ties, reduces family and local solidarity, reduces emotional support and satisfaction, and weakens the presence in public arenas, and so on. Thus, strengthening the indicators and components of a happy city can be a strong step towards sustainable urban development, and conversely, the decline of indicators and components of a happy city can be effective in accelerating urban instability.Methodology:The present research is methodical, quantitative and applied, which has been done with a combination of descriptive-analytical and exploratory methods, and in it, articles, books, data of the Statistics Center of Iran, etc. have been used to collect documentary data. Questionnaire technique has been used in the field studies section. The statistical population of the study includes 7122 heads of households in Ravansar. Due to the large size of the statistical population and the difficulty of conducting the census, 364 people have been estimated as a statistical sample using the Cochran's formula. The main research tool for collecting field data is a researcher-made questionnaire that has been used to evaluate its (formal) validity from the opinions of urban planning experts as well as university professors. To evaluate the reliability of the questionnaires, the pre-test method and completing 30 questionnaires were used and the Cronbach's alpha coefficient for the main parts of the questionnaire was more than 0.7. The questionnaire is designed in three main parts. A completely randomized method was used to distribute and complete the questionnaires among the citizens, and the frequency distribution table, mean comparison test and exploratory factor analysis in SPSS software were used to analyze the collected data. Results and discussion:The results showed that among the three indicators of a happy city (Social, physical and economic indicators) The average of social index with the value of 3.124 was significantly higher than the average of base (number 3) and The average of two physical and economic indicators respectively with values of 2.608 and 2.587, Have been significantly lower than the baseline mean. The results indicate that citizen participation in sustainable urban development in the city of Tabriz is medium. There is a significant relationship between citizen participation and sustainable urban development and the promotion of citizen's socio-economic status is very important in rural sustainable development.Extended AbstractIntroduction:Participation and involvement of people in urban management are temporary benefits of urban projects. But people's participation and their involvement in various stages and parts of urban management in our country is currently limited to the minimum information. One of the best benefits of citizen participation, in addition to informing and receiving their comments and suggestions to promote public participation in new issues in recent years, more attention is paid to it. Officials have concluded that the city management without considering People will work very hard and unsuccessfully, and the failure of many urban projects, which is reflected in the dissatisfaction of citizens and users of these programs, is acknowledged by everyone. One of the problems and weaknesses of urban management is the lack of a clear framework in order to benefit from citizen participation. The view of some officials towards the people is the view of the lord and the serf, not the view of the people, who do not consider the people as the guardian of their blessings, and for this reason, they sabotage in solving problems. This kind of attitude seeks to eliminate institutions such as councils and reduce their powers, and consequently diminish the role of the people. At present, changes have been made in the principles of town management, and this change has taken the direction and focus of becoming popular. Therefore, one of the high priorities of the policies of city managers and urban management is to create grounds for attracting public participation. The role of the people in the management of human societies is something that is highly emphasized today. The right of the people to self-determination and public participation in all matters relating to their collective life has been universally accepted as a medical right. In order to develop any region, the people of that region must first demand development and transformation and be actively involved in the process of growth and expansion of their region. Certainly, recognizing the influential components in citizens 'participation in planning and managing urban development can be the first step in moving from citizens' slogan participation to limited participation and ultimately achieving their real participation. Since the second half of the twentieth century, the concept of partnership with a new perspective has become a key issue in development programs, especially urban development programs. To strengthen and expand people's participation in planning, it is necessary to know the factors affecting this. Participation in our country is not a new phenomenon, but with the growth of urbanization, the need to review this concept and provide a model appropriate to the needs of today's citizens is felt. In the present study, we have tried to examine the level of citizen participation in sustainable development in the city of Tabriz as well as the factors of citizen participation, and to determine the sustainability of this city. The present article is descriptive-analytical in terms of research method and descriptive research branch; Because it includes a set of methods that aim to describe the conditions or phenomena under study and is analytical, because it examines and analyzes the role of citizens in their social participation, achieving sustainable development goals in various dimensions and measuring and analyzing the current situation. . (Valid data: 377, incomplete data: 7, total: 374, number of items: 8 and Cronbach's alpha test correlation coefficient: .648). Given that Cronbach's alpha coefficient is / 648. It is determined that in this hypothesis 8 items have suspicious or unknown. As a result, this hypothesis is rejected. Cronbach's alpha test The second hypothesis, the social participation of citizens in the city of Tabriz, provides the ground for achieving sustainable urban development. (Valid data: 376, incomplete data: 8, total: 384, number of items: 8 and Cronbach's alpha correlation coefficient: 622 / Is). Given that Cronbach's alpha coefficient is / 622. It is determined that in this hypothesis 8 items have suspicious or unknown. As a result, this hypothesis is rejected. Cronbach's alpha test of the third hypothesis, among the factors affecting the level of citizen participation, socio-economic status is the most important factor. With the development of urbanization and increasing mental pressures, citizens have also experienced increasing physical diseases. In this connection, health tourism assumes greater importance for people to use health and hygienic facilities. One of the areas in which cities compete with each other is their capability of attracting domestic and foreign treatment tourists. The level of reference and stay of health tourists is considerably highest than other tourists, and this indicates the significance of health tourism. The health tourism sector is one of the principal components of urban economic strength that guarantees residents’ quality of life. The aim of the present study was to measure the feasibility of health tourism capacities in the city of Maragheh using sustainable urban development. The study was an applied study and fell under the quantitative and qualitative research. The data were obtained by using documentary and observational studies via a researcher-made questionnaire. Health tourism evaluation criteria included 27 variables of social-cultural, economic, and environmental (ecological) components. Findings revealed that the component of tourism economics with the factor loading of 0.95 held the highest effects on the sustainable health tourism, and the component of local culture (factor loading of 0.63), terminal equipment (factor loading of 0.62) held the lowest effects. As well, the component5 of sustainable tourism with the direct and indirect effects of 0.815 and 0.131 held the highest effects, while the component of the environment with the direct and indirect effects of 0.634 and 0.164 held the lowest effects on the development of sustainable tourism in the city of Maragheh. The economic component with the direct and indirect effects and the component of social-cultural with the direct and indirect effects of 0.702 and0.105 also contributed to the development of sustainable health tourism in the city.  Exteded Abstract Introduction With the development of urbanization and increasing mental pressures, citizens have also experienced increasing physical diseases. Here, this study focuses on the eco-tourism and water-therapy dimension of the health tourism sector. Maragheh City enjoys numerous mineral water springs, and thus have favorable capacities in the health tourism sector. This is because of its geomorphological and geographical situation, the presence of expert physicians, being the treatment hub of the province, having centers of accommodation, and types of hotels. Thus, health tourism and the feasibility of infrastructure can affect the diversity of urban economies and employment, thereby producing much-needed currency as the main component of the secondary industry and contribute to the sustainable development. This city is the focal point of the study enjoys potential health tourism capacities (especially water therapy capacities).Methodology The study was an applied study and fell under the quantitative and qualitative research. The data were obtained by using documentary and observational studies via a researcher-made questionnaire. Health tourism evaluation criteria included 27 variables of social-cultural, economic, and environmental (ecological) components. The statistical population of the study consisted of 384 people who were present at health tourism places.  To analyze the data, the structural equation modeling and SPSS, AMOS, and MPLUS software were used. Results and discussionField surveys and results from social-cultural correlation coefficients affecting the sustainable tourism therapy (health tourism) in the city of Maragheh indicated that there was a positive and significant correlation between municipality management component and health tourism sustainability. This suggests that the more the health tourism sector flourishes the more municipality management develops, and the thus the more sustainable health tourism in Maragheh City will be. There was a positive and significant relationship between all social-cultural components and the sustainable health tourism in Maragheh, with the significance level being 0.000 at the alpha rate of 0.05; and since the calculated error rate is less than 0.01, there is a significant relationship between all social-cultural components and the sustainable health tourism at 99% confidence level. Thus, the improvement of all the components from a tourism therapy point of view could lead to sustainable health tourism in the city of Maragheh. Results from the correlation coefficient of components affecting the sustainable tourism therapy (health tourism) in the city of Maragheh indicates that there was a positive and significant relationship between the economic component and the Maragheh’s health tourism sustainability.  ConclusionFindings revealed that the component of tourism economics with the factor loading of 0.95 held the highest effects on the sustainable health tourism, and the component of local culture (factor loading of 0.63), terminal equipment (factor loading of 0.62) held the lowest effects. It was also found that health tourism could lead to employment (especially when the city of Maragheh holds the highest unemployment rate in the province and the entire country). Findings showed that the most important problems in the city were weak tourism infrastructure, private sector’s investors’ unwillingness to invest, and the lack of support by city officials to increase tourism attractions in the city. In today's world, cities have become the main place of residence and activity and the superior way of life. In this regard, some cities attract the population and others, such as border areas, repel the population. Due to the role of border cities in order to ensure the internal security of countries, the need for proper planning in order to improve the indicators of sustainable development in these areas is strongly felt. In general, it can be said that sustainability in cities seeks to successfully respond to current needs without compromising future needs in order to achieve a dynamic economy and a healthy natural environment with the cooperation of various organizations and people. Cities are a complex and living integrated system that includes economic, social, cultural, and physical components, and sustainable development, which is one of the main goals of United Nations policies and activities and the constant debate of developed and underdeveloped countries, is a process that requires improvement and Progress has been mentioned in various fields. For this purpose, the present study has been written with the aim of examining the components of sustainable urban development in border areas (Marivan of Iran and Kalar of Iraq) and to provide solutions to achieve the desired situation. The research method is applied in terms of purpose and in terms of exploratory-comparative nature which for data analysis has been used of structural equation modeling in Amos software. The statistical population of the study also included the citizens of Marivan and Kalar cities, which based on Cochran's formula, 383 people were determined as the sample size for each city. Findings show that the highest feasibility of sustainable development dimensions in Kalar city are related to sustainable community and culture, sustainable environment and body, sustainable security and sustainable economy with coefficients of 0.57, 0.52, 0.45 and 0.37, respectively, and in Marivan city were related to environment and sustainable body, sustainable community and culture, sustainable security and sustainable economy with coefficients of 0.61, 0.54, 0.48 and 0.46, respectively. The results also indicate that the situation of sustainable security and sustainable economy in these two cities is not appropriate and in Marivan city is slightly more favorable in sustainability indicators than of Kalar city. Also, the results indicate that the lack of proper planning and management of the studied cities has caused these cities to be in a state of disarray in various dimensions, such as the lack of citizens' awareness and preparation and exposure to crises, and the lack of job opportunities and access to stable incomes. Therefore, considering the integration of the concept of sustainability in different dimensions and the realization of sustainable development in a comprehensive and systemic approach, the need for strategic planning is felt in order to realize integrated sustainable development by considering different dimensions in the studied cities. Also, the root of many socio-economic issues and problems of backwardness of border areas, especially many security issues, should be considered in the general inadequacies and underdevelopment of these areas and neglecting them. The expansion of urbanization and the specific issues and problems of urban life have made it increasingly necessary to pay full attention to beneficial strategies for optimizing the lives of urban residents. In this regard, the concept of sustainable urban development as a broad conceptual framework moves towards achieving economic growth and social justice. The main purpose of this study was to evaluate the development of Shiraz in terms of criteria for sustainable urban development "environmental, health, urban and cultural services" in the form of 36 indicators. This research is applied in terms of purpose and descriptive-analytical in terms of nature and method. For analysis, first the data were standardized and finally, using the Morris method, the eleven districts of Shiraz were ranked. The results of the research based on Morris method showed that in terms of the studied indicators, zones one and eight with scores of 49.38 and 39.57 are in the first and second ranks and regions four and eleven with scores of 17.86 and 10.39 are in the last place. Also, based on the results, it was determined that none of the areas are in very good conditions. The results of this study indicate the existence of a gap between the eleven regions of Shiraz in terms of benefiting from the studied indicators, and among these, region one is ranked first in terms of development due to its political and economic centrality due to the existence of urban facilities. One of the most important challenges in contemporary cities is the identity crisis that is affected by the lack of sense of place, belonging to the place, and attachment to it. In this regard, new towns have been exposed to a lack of identity more than others due to less residential background. On the other hand, understanding and analyzing the effective factors of the sense of place in new towns have significant effects on solving the existing issues. For this reason, it is a must to study the current situation of new towns. So, this study aims to compare the sense of place among three new towns around Tehran, namely Pardis (phase 1), Parand (phase 2), and Andisheh (phase 3). The method of this qualitative study is descriptive-analytical based on documental studies and surveys. In this study, reviewing the literature shows that sense of place is a subjective concept that is derived from objective aspects. This sense depends on both individuals who percept it and the characteristics and situation of the place.  The data (based on respondents who were residents of case studies by sampling) were analyzed using the TOPSIS technique. The results show that the sense of place in phase 3 in Andisheh new town is more than that in the two others that is because of the higher quality of the physical and spatial environment and also adaptation to standards and principles of urbanism. So, improving the physical and spatial qualities in new towns in particular in the field of various activities (mix land use) that are responding to the daily needs of residents, high quality of infrastructures such as roads, facilities, and equipment, considering to order, harmony and human scale of the space during planning and designing, making the spaces attractive for increasing the presence and high-quality urban furniture can increase a sense of place that leads to identity in these areas.   Manuscript profile

With the onset of the Industrial Revolution and the spread of urbanization, the motivation to travel and having fun to meet the spiritual needs of human beings became essential, this important issue in recent decades created a global phenomenon that has been termed ‘the tourism industry’. The arrival of a tourist in a place can have important economic, social and cultural effects on that environment and can cause the development and progress of the region. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the development of eleven districts of Shiraz in terms of tourism services. This research is applied in terms of its purpose and descriptive-analytical in terms of nature and method. The information and data required in this research have been collected using library resources and statistics in 1398. For analysis, first, the data were standardized and finally ranked using the Scalogram method in eleven districts of Shiraz. The results showed that in terms of indicators studied, district one with a score of 79 was in the first place in tourism and enjoyment. Also, districts four and eleven, despite the geographical location due to large population and lack of attention of relevant managers in terms of indicators and elements providing sustainable tourism development with 46 and 49 points were recognized as the lowest ranks. The results of this study indicate the existence of a gap between the eleven districts of Shiraz in terms of tourism development and in the meantime, none of the regions is in a poor condition.          This research aims to investigate the degree of coordination of Khorramabad's urban development plans with climatic conditions in the direction of sustainable urban development. In the climatic study of Khorramabad taken from the statistics and data of the last 20 years (1376-1396), the climatic elements of this city, including temperature, rainfall, relative humidity, sunshine hours,  direction and wind speed of the synoptic station of this city, in the form of maximum and minimum parameters and the average were used. After data collection, standardization and averaging of the mentioned parameters were done using Excel software and the SPSS software. The findings of the research show that in Khorramabad, climate coordination has not been done on a regional scale to reduce optimal energy consumption to achieve sustainable development. Also, according to the physiographic conditions of Khorramabad, the design of buildings in Khorramabad should be considered according to the northern and southern slopes to reduce energy consumption.  Manuscript profile

The trend of sustainable urban development in Iran is affected by several factors, one of which is upstream policies, including the country's 5-year development plans. Given the criticisms of these programs, this article seeks to determine what are the theoretical foundations behind development programs in Iran that prevent its goals. To answer this question, this paper examines the government's theory of social development and its implications for sustainable urban development. The research method is content analysis and the required data collected on a documentary method. The population of the research consists of the fourth to sixth development programs and the clauses of the programs have been selected as a sample that contain references to social development. The results of the study show that social development in the minds of government officials is limited to meeting some basic needs. Also, the clauses contained in these programs do not cover many of the key components of sustainable urban development, such as social participation, cultural diversity, and minorities and specific groups. In addition, since most indicators of social development are qualitative, the possibility of operationalizing goals and then evaluating government performance is denied Manuscript profile

One of the most important and complex social developments in the last half century is the development of urbanization and one of the most essential factors associated with urban development is the issue of sustainable urban development. This form of development, while meeting current needs, ensures the continued empowerment of future generations of urban communities in various environmental, economic, social and cultural dimensions. One of the components that helps sustainable urban development in ensuring this ability is citizenship education. Therefore, the aim of this study is to investigate the relationship between citizenship education and sustainable urban development in the city of Ardabil. The theoretical framework and theoretical model was developed using theories of citizenship like that of Brian. S. Turner, Rousseau, Machiavelli, Asler and Starkey. The research population consisted of the citizens of Ardabil, of which, using Cochran's formula, 384 people were selected as the sample via a multi-stage clustering sampling technique. Pearson correlation test and structural equation modeling were used for inferential tests. The results showed that the proposed model of relationships between variables had an acceptable fit. There was also a positive and significant relationship between citizenship education and indicators of sustainable urban development. Significant level (p) of cultural and social indicators was 0.01, economic and environmental indicators was 0.05. For citizenship education to have a greater impact on sustainable urban development, it is necessary to first provide the education platform (comprehensiveness and dynamism of law, welfare and social security) in society, then remove the intervening conditions (institutional distrust, lack of cultural development and inefficiency of formal education) that hinder development.   Manuscript profile

This paper aims to investigate the relationship between social capital and sustainable urban development in the urban population of Mazandaran province over the last 20 years. In order to investigate the relationship between these two variables, theories proposed by Putnam, Fukuyama, Misra, Einstein and Driscott were used. Data were collected using a survey method and a questionnaire tool from a statistical sample of 400 subjects. The descriptive findings of the current research showed that the status of the social capital index and all its components (i.e. social awareness, social trust, generalized norms, social participation and social cohesion) and the sustainable urban development index and all its dimensions (i.e. economic sustainability, social sustainability, environmental sustainability, physical sustainability and institutional sustainability) were located at the lower level than the moderate level. The explanatory findings of the research showed that social capital and all its components had a strong direct and significant relationship with sustainable urban development. In Pearson correlation coefficient, the relationship between social capital and all its components with sustainable urban development was significant. In multivariate regression analysis, the effects of all social capital components (other than generalized norms) were significant.  Based on the Beta coefficient, variables social trust and social participation, respectively had the most impact on sustainable urban development. Also, َaccording to the results of structural equation modeling, on the basis of various indices, the theoretical model of the research had a good fit. Manuscript profile
