The purpose of the current study was to predict the quality of female teachers’ work life based on work-family conflict and organizational commitment. The population of the study included all married female teachers who were teaching in primary, first and second grade high schools during the academic year 1393-1394, among whom 128 teachers were selected through multistage stratified random sampling as the sample of the study. The design of the study was descriptive-correlational and the instruments included the questionnaires of quality of work life (Walton, 1973), work-family conflict (Rastegar Khaled, 1385), and organizational commitment (Allen & Meyer, 1990). The research data were analyzed using Pearson correlation coefficient and stepwise regression analysis. The results revealed that there was a meaningful relation between the indices of work-family conflict and organizational commitment with dimensions of the quality of work life. Also, there was a negative significant relationship (P≤0.05) between work-family conflict (interference of work role with family role, subscales of family and work role interface, and overload of family role and overload of work role) and dimensions of the quality of work life. Moreover, there was a positive significant relationship between organizational commitments (affective continuance and normative commitment) and dimensions of the quality of work life (P≤0.05). Additionally, the stepwise regression analysis showed that the “interference of work role with family role” together with “normative commitment” and “interference of family role with work role” can predict the total score of the quality of work life (P≤0.05). It can be concluded that the indices of work-family conflict and organizational commitment can predict dimensions of the quality of work life Manuscript profile

The main objective of the current study was studying the relationship betweenThe quality of work life, psychological empowerment and the interactive effect of demographic variables on staff productivity of Zahedan Municipality. The research population was 257 staff members of the central municipality of Districts 1, 2 and 3 of Zahedan. By using Krejcie and Morgan (1971) sample size determining tables, a sample size of 155 people was calculated. The sampling method was random stratified sampling. For collecting data, Walton (1973) quality of work life, Spreitzer (1996) psychological empowerment and Hersey and Goldsmith (1980) productivity questionnaires were used. The data of the questionnaires were analyzed in descriptive and inferential statistics level comprising Pearson correlation coefficient test, step by step regression, simultaneous regression, multivariate analysis of variance and through Spss 16.5 software. The findings indicate that there is a positive and significant correlation among all aspects of quality of work life and psychological empowerment with staff productivity. In the step by step regression, the dimension of growth opportunity and continuous security as well as the dimension of influence had the best capacity to predict productivity. Among the demographic variables, only gender interaction × work experience and age interaction × gender have led to the difference in the average scores of the staff in productivity. The results of economic experiments in the world show that if any country wants to be a pioneer in economy and not to lag behind in the competition, it has to have experienced, skillful, motivated, innovative and creative manpower. We wouldn’t expect any improvement in productivity if we couldn’t meet welfare and living needs of the personnel and if we couldn’t attain a competency- oriented system, equity and justice through comprehensive performance evaluation system. The term "quality of work life" has repeatedly been used as a criterion of human experience quality at work. Managers increasingly expect that the productivity of an organization should create facilities which maintain employees' quality of work life. The concept of quality of work life indicates the importance of people at work and the respect for them.                                                                           In this paper the relationship between productivity and quality of work life has been evaluated. These two terms are part of the seven overall performance measurement criteria for any organization that needs to assess and measure. Initially, some definitions have been presented about productivity and the quality of work life, and then the correlation of them has been evaluated using a case study on a manufacturing firm. The results of this study show the meaningful relation between the overall productivity, labor productivity and the quality of work life in the firm under study and demonstrate the amount of correlation between them. In most of the international conferences about productivity, it has been stated that the level of productivity, particularly that of human resources, is low in various economic parts of the developing countries. The issue of increasing population is also another factor. Almost all of the connoisseurs and top managers of the world’s industries, in justifying the importance of the role of the people compared with capital and technology, claim that there are three important factors in increasing productivity, and human being is the most important factor, so in top-industrialized communities, the purpose and the kind of culture are based upon QWL and human relationships, respectively. They believe that capital and technology can be provided as a loan and by purchase, but we can neither borrow human beings nor buy them. Human beings should be trained as the main capitals of the developing countries, and they should be motivated. Therefore, in this paper, the authors have tried to survey the mutual relationship between productivity and the quality of work life in human resources. They have concluded that by increasing the quality of work life, the productivity also increases. Manuscript profile

Introduction: Quality of work life refers to the satisfaction of employees with different needs through resources, activities and the results of being at work. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of eight weeks of resistance training on the quality of work life and body composition in female physicians. Materials and methods: In this quasi-experimental study, 20 female general practitioners referring to Shiraz Guard Sports Club were selected as the statistical sample and were divided into training and control groups. The training group performed resistance training for eight weeks and three sessions per week. Also, the control group had only their daily activities during this period. Before training and 24 hours after the last training session, body composition was measured by the body composition device and quality of work life by the Walton Quality of Life Questionnaire. Shapiro-Wilk, independent and dependent t-tests were used to analyze the findings (P≥0.05). Findings: There were significant differences in changes in total body water (P=0.27), protein mass (P=0.24), mineral mass (P=0.09), net body mass (P=0.97), fat mass (P=0.84) and no quality of work life (P=0.23) was seen in the training and control groups in the post-test compared to the pre-test. Conclusion: It seems that the resistance training protocol of the present study does not have a significant effect on improving the quality of work life and body composition of physicians. The sole distinction between active and busy people and those who practice work holism is how they organize their lives and jobs. The purpose of this study was to investigate how the quality of work life affected the general health aspects in the personnel at the Khoy branch of Islamic Azad University. It uses a descriptive-analytical research methodology. 225 people were chosen through the census method. The data were gathered using the work holism of Spence and Robbins (1992), Walton's quality of work life (1973), and the General Health Questionnaire (1996), and their reliability was determined using Cronbach's alpha. The data was analyzed using the Pearson correlation coefficient and structural equations. The Pearson coefficient results revealed a strong negative association between work holism and overall health (r=-0.51) as well as between work holism and quality of work life (r=-0.49). According to the results of the structural equations, the relationship between work-life balance and employee QWL had the greatest impact (52%) and had a 15% impact on employees' general health. Work holism can have a negative impact on an employee's general health and quality of work life. Managers can identify these workers and offer them a variety of programs to improve their general health and QWL because bettering public health and the quality of work life encourages continuous employee presence, which in turn increases productivity. The purpose of this study is to explain the effect of spiritual intelligence on teacher self-efficacy through the mediator of organizational justice and quality of work life. The population consisted of high school teachers in Naghadeh city, which were selected by random sampling method, 230 subjects. The descriptive - correlation research method is applied using structural equation model as an applied research. Data were collected by David King's standard intelligence questionnaire, Sherer's general self-efficacy, Walton's quality of work life, and organizational justice, Nijouff and Morell. In order to test the fitting goodness, structural equation modeling with partial least squares approach was performed. The results of the analysis showed that spiritual intelligence has a positive and significant effect on the teachers' self-efficacy, quality of work life, and organizational justice. Spiritual intelligence explains directly the quality of work life and organizational justice (0.26, 0.63, and 0.59) of teacher self-efficacy changes, respectively. And indirectly by mediating organizational justice and quality of work life, respectively, are 0.26 and 0.18, respectively, affecting self-efficacy. Organizational justice also explains 0.35 changes in quality of work life, and the variable of spiritual intelligence with organizational justice mediator explains 0.20 of changes in the quality of working life. The direct effect of organizational justice and quality of work life on self-efficacy is respectively 0.44 and 0.28, respectively. The significant coefficients of all paths are greater than 1.96.
