Abstract Simile is one of the most obvious and fundamental ways of expression that has a major role in imagination and effect of poet’s speech. In this article in a descriptive – analysis and comparative method, similes have been surveyed in theosophical poems of Boostan and Motanabbi’s theosophical poems from different aspects such as: mutual of simile, perceptual simile and conceptual simile, singular and compound, point of resemblance and … and statistical analysis of them is presented. The results of research reveal that, Saadi and Motanabbi, have used different types of similes including: singular, compound, absolute simile, implicit simile, shortened simile, emphatic simile and …, but in the application of simile they are statistically different. As among 311 images that were extracted from theosophical verses of Boostan, 97 of them were similes (%31) and among 112 images that were extracted from theosophical verses of Motanabbi 43 were similes (%38) and this fact shows that Motanabbi,s power or trend to simile is more than Saadi. The second result is that Saadi,s similes are often singular, shortened and obvious, but Motanabbi,s similes are compound, implicit and complicated. Manuscript profile

Fatwat or chivalry is a social movement and spiritual impulse in the culture of ancient Iran, which has been mixed with the Quranic culture and the foundations of the Muhammadan Sharia (PBUH) since the introduction of the religion of Islam to the vast geography of Iran, and has been widespread among the masses of the people of that time. This research, using the method of qualitative content analysis and referring to valid library documents, investigated the effectiveness of the style of Soltani's fatut-nameh from the style of Golestan and Saadi's epistles, based on the theory of intertextuality, and reached the following results: Soltani's fatut-nameh It has been most influenced by the luminous verses and blessed surahs of the Holy Quran and the works of Saadi Shirazi. Waez Kashfi has embellished the Quranic teachings and the basics of Islamic mysticism in the style of prose mixed with order and masterful imitation of the authorities of Hariri, Badiul Zaman and Saadi Shirazi. Because emotional states make people's character and the poet, like other members of the society, is influenced by emotional states and feelings and emotions, and his artistic personality, which is actually his style, is developed in this way. So, if two or more poets lived in a certain geography at the same time and wrote poetry, it cannot necessarily be said that they have the same style. Manuscript profile

The purpose of this study was to investigate the subject of portraiture and portraiture in Golestan anecdotes using a descriptive-analytic method. On the anthropological point of view, Saadi has put forward and critiqued various philosophical, mystical, romantic and educational views. Saadi believes that one cannot always judge the intrinsic attributes of a person through physical appearance or judge them only on the basis of a masked face, because human personality becomes complicated by education. That is simply not recognizable. For him, anthropology or frost means understanding one's personality through nonverbal actions or communication. In terms of portraiture, in the Golestan anecdotes, the characters have three physical, overlapping, and psychological figures, each of which is valued in a significant way. Extravagant and physical portrayal represent the social and cultural status of the characters and how they are valued, and are portrayed within the characters through psychological portrayal. In terms of function and transmission of the theme, Saadi indirectly reveals the characters' personalities to the reader through actions such as standing, competing, empowering and demanding, and arousing their hatred or admiration by creating emotional connection. The order, in turn, has guided their thinking about the subject. Manuscript profile

One of the most important issues that has occupied people's minds is the issue of determinism. Saadi, who spent many years studying and getting pensions in Al-Nizamiyya of Baghdad, had deep mystical orientation and was impressed by the ideas of the Suhrawardiyah doctrine. This led to a change in Saadi's beliefs about compulsion and his point of view tended more toward mystical compulsion rather than verbal compulsion. The question of this research is whether there are any commonalities between the obvious aspects compulsion arising from Saadi's mysticism and the compulsion arising from Sa'adi's verbal disposition. In the second half of the twentieth century, the school of "humanism" emerged and the effort to raise the level of human self-awareness and discover the capabilities of modern human beings became the goal of this school. One of the proponents and theorists of this school was Carl Rogers. He chose characteristics for people on the path of growth and prosperity. Among the sophisticated and great men of Persian literature, Saadi has faced various social problems during his lifetime. In the form of anecdotes and fictional characters, he introduces strategies for man to achieve salvation. In this study, the characters of Saadi's Bustan and Golestan (his two important and valuable works) have been studied according to Rogers's model of self-fulfilling human being and have been adapted according to his view points. In this study, the authors have reviewed the characters of Gulistan and Bustan anecdotes from the perspective of humanistic psychology based on Rogers’s self-actualization model. The results of studies show that in these two valuable educational works, which are the result of Saadi's psychic and spiritual journey, personalities from various walks of life, including scholar, mystic, eremite, lord, and the wife of a mendicant man, have played influential roles. By accepting the difficulties of life, creativity, and free will in making decisions according to Rogers’s theory, they have been able to achieve self-awareness and human perfection.  Manuscript profile

After presenting theoretical discussions about image schemas - which is proposed in the field of cognitive semantics - the present research seeks to find the answer to this basic question; namely, what shceme image Saadi has employed in explaining the two categories of envoy and longing and secondly, what is his purpose of using image schemas for these two moral vices? The result of the present study  showed that the Sheikh of Shiraz used these two morally objectionable adjectives in his Bostan under the volumetric and non-volumetric schemas and sometimes a combination of schemas. Based on this analysis, the unpleasant character of envy causes many negative effects for the envious person, one of which is longing. For this very reason, these two categories have been emphasized in the present research. The results of the research show that Saadi used two schemes of power and volume for envy. However, envy has a volume pattern everywhere in the Bostan. By studying the  statistical graphs of this article, it appears that the frequency of schemas of longing is higher than that of envy. Therefore, Saadi instead  of  paying  attention to the powe of envy, concentretes on its result; namely, longing. Eventually, a person should avoid envy so as not to be caught by its results. In other words, Saadi explains the necessity of avoiding envy by stating its inevitable results. It should be mentioned that no research has been done with this particular approach regarding the Bostan. Finally, the research method is analytical-descriptive. Manuscript profile
