In recent decades, the rapid physical-spatial growth of cities due to the inadequate distribution of urban services centers can lead to unequal access to these services for citizens at the city level. To address this issue, appropriate urban planning must be implemented to ensure the welfare of citizens and ultimately achieve urban sustainability. The research method is descriptive-analytical, and the study examines the physical development of the city from 1970-2011 and the spatial distribution of urban services. To analyze them, the entropy, Holden, and Morris models have been used. The findings indicate that the physical-spatial development of Sari is spiral and scattered, with 82% of the city's growth due to population growth and 12% due to horizontal growth. The results indicate that the physical- spatial development of the city has not been proportional to the distribution of services at the neighborhood level, causing most people to be deprived of equal and fair access to services. Therefore, based on the results of this study, urban planners can manage the spatial-physical inequalities in the distribution of services in the city of Sari using a spatial justice approach. By designing and implementing appropriate urban planning strategies, the welfare of citizens can be prioritized to pave the way for urban sustainability. Additionally, in the physical development of the city, planners should pay attention to future population growth and ensure equitable and accessible distribution of services for all citizens through proper planning. Oil, as one of the country's main sources of income, has played a significant role in the spatial evolution of cities. Bandar Mahshahr, as one of the cities of Khuzestan province, is no exception to this rule. Therefore, due to its proximity to oil and gas mines, it has been affected by this industry (oil industry). The physical-spatial expansion of Mahshahr port in a short period of time was influenced by the establishment of a huge amount of industries and petrochemicals, which led to an increase in immigration and the expansion of unprecedented constructions. Therefore, the basic problem of the current research is: an analysis of the role of the oil economy in the spatial evolution of Mahshahr port Considering the significant role of oil in the spatial evolution of cities, this research has been conducted with the aim of evaluating the process of spatial evolution of Mahshahr port in different periods. The research method is descriptive-analytical and practical in terms of targeting. In this research, according to the studies of comprehensive and detailed plans, existing aerial photographs and the use of Google Earth and Arc/Gis10.8 software, the process of spatial evolution of Mahshahr port during the years 1930 to 2022 was evaluated. The findings indicate that oil has played a significant role in the spatial evolution of Mahshahr port, and most of the economic and social activities in this city have taken place due to the dependence on the oil industry. Therefore, the profit and loss obtained from the activity of this industry has played an important role in the spatial evolution of this city. The results of this research showed that until 1930, the trend of spatial developments of Mahshahr port included the old Mahshahr part and the industrial area part, and this city during the years 1985 to 2007 had the most spatial developments within the scope of the detailed plan with an area of 731.04 hectares and outside From the scope of the detailed plan, it has been associated with an area of 686.16 hectares in the northwest, south, west and southwest Manuscript profile

Urban ever-increasing development, irregular population growing up and immigrations to the cities have led to unplanned and uncontrollable urban development and changes in urban spatial structure. For this reasons, informed guidance, principle organization and spatial planning are necessary for urban sprawl and development. In this research, different forms of urban development were considered and development basic barriers including rivers, topography, geology, ecological conditions, facilities, industries, factories… were determined and the role of each one was surveyed. Sprawl can contribute to a host of problems, including heavy traffic, daily increasing of air pollution, and destruction of natural habitat and environment. So development trends that are based on effective parameters especially environmental impacts were modeled with Geographic Information Systems (GIS). The quality of urban planning and management can be upgraded when available and valid data are handled in an advanced manner with the aid of GIS. The innovative technology can support planning and decision making by offering relatively quick response on analytical questions and monitoring issues. Experienced expert determined the degree and primacy of urban sprawl and development parameters generally and for nalos case study, these parameters and criteria and its weights were marked, then were modeled with GIS for nalos developments. With using GIS and it capabilities in calculation of land size forecasting for Nalos development and its positioning we could take a step in planning directions such as stable development achievements. Urban land use analysis examines how to use the distribution, conservation, spatial organization of urban activities and functions based on the needs and needs of the urban community. due to the disproportionate growth of cities and the imbalance of cities, it is important to organize and optimize urban landscapes in order to improve the quality of urbanization and balance. The rapid expansion of urban areas and, consequently, the adoption of land use policy consider urban utilization as one of the most important determinants in the urban issues of the country; however, due to the diversity of distribution of urban use and the impact of the use of variables Various, analyzing and explaining it has always encountered problems. Therefore, recognizing and applying methods that can contribute to such an important step will be a good step for the faculty of the faculty of literature. The study of the process of evolution of the spatial structure of Babylon shows that in the years prior to 1300, various neighborhoods of the city were formed based on ethnic, religious and religious characteristics and have enjoyed a calm and organic growth. But in recent years, the implementation of developmental policies, without thinking and adapting to existing facts, seems to have resulted in physical growth and increased spatial separation among the neighborhoods of the city. The results show, which are descriptive-analytical and also using GIS , are of a practical nature, show that in allocating urban utilities, both spatial and per capita urban considerations Not done. Definitely physical plans and chasing comprehensive development pattern in the development trend of cities has proven no successful and reliable results. Urban sprawl, wasting resources and increasing city management costs and urban services are some of these unpleasant results. Therefore, it is necessary to study all aspects of city life. Spatial planning emphasizes distribution of population, activity and employment and land uses all over the city. Identifying form and trend of spatial development in cities beside the physical trend is a favorite topic for urban planners and managers. Introducing some quantitative indicators for evaluating compactness or sprawl in spatial development trends in cities is so important. Because there is not one definition for sprawl and without using some quantitative indicators, it’s impossible to evaluate and describe development of cities. For this purpose, global coefficient of Moran, coefficient of Geary and Shannon’s entropy have been used in this research. Results show that this coefficients and indicators can describe spatial development trend in cities and make evaluation of that trend quantitative and reliable. Manuscript profile

A city grows physically-spatially with the aim of creating an environment with a beautiful, familiar and legible identity. In religious cities, in addition to these goals, the approach of providing services to pilgrims and religious tourists can be effective in the economic growth of the city. This approach can provide economic and job prosperity and other facilities for residents in a way that they will be in perfect harmony with the sanctity and the existing building of religious cities. Economic adaptation in the spatial hierarchical system in the city must be in line with the urban context in order to be able to balance religion، housing and the economy. The emergence and formation of Karbala city shows that in recent years, urban planning and plans to align the growth of the city in accordance with the main element and index, called the Court and Shrine of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) has not been done. The use of the approved master plan of Karbala city has been able to pay partly attention to some dimensions and indicators of the city; and by emphasizing these factors can propose and design the development process of the city in accordance with the existing climate and conditions. The research method is applied in terms of purpose and "descriptive-analytical-historical" in terms of method and nature. Capabilities and challenges of spatial physical development of the city have been analyzed by Using library resources, documents, upstream plans, using geographical systems (GIS), remote sensing and interpretation of aerial and satellite maps and SWOT analysis method. Challenges have been identified using SWOT analysis method by observing the spatial hierarchy, passages and recognizing urban nodes. The results show that the main development strategy of Karbala city should be based on the application of economic and social development programs in different parts of the city. Through this, a suitable physical-spatial development that is the result of economic and social development of the city can be achieved and the best communication route between the central core and other parts of the city is established. The rapid population growth and urbanistion increase are among the phenomena which have appeared in a lot of countries in the world including Iran in recent decades; although the urban population increase is not an undesirble phenomenon per se and some think of it as a symbol of development . Thus, what is going to be discussed and analyzed here is the unbalanced distribution of population in urban centers rather than the percentage of urbanity . However Hamedan province possesses some natural capabilities and suitable strategic situation as well as a good history , it dose not have a suitable social and economical development; there is no hierarchy regardung dwelling system and ranking rational services in its cities, towns, and even rural areas . As a result ,a large number of its population is concentrated in the center of the province (i.e. Hamedan itself ) and a first-rank model governs the city . In this research, through a sstematic and comprehensive method , the present status of the province and the role of middle cities in the spatial development of the province has been studied in a logical and rational way .
