This paper is the description and analysis ofsome of the best Darabi dialect phonological processes on the bases ofautosegmental phonology. The data was collected from some indigenous informantsand written texts whose reliability had been already proved for the researcher. This study is a descriptive and analytic one. Moreover, it is a cross-sectionalstudy. In this study, the phonological processes such as assimilation anddissimilation, omission, weakening, metathesis, and conversion of /r/ consonantto /l/ consonant were investigated through quantitative data analysis. Theinvestigation of these phonological processes showed that some of the contrastsare eliminated after the vowels or at the coda of the words. However, theconsonant contrasts are retained at the onset of the words. In the assimilationof /t/ and /s/ which is a complete one, /t/ consonant is assimilated with itsprior consonant. In dissimilated /n/ with that of /s/ and /z/, the /n/consonant changes from alveolar to /m/. In the process of metathesis, consonantmovement happens. For the cases of /b/ and /w/; /b/ consonant changes to voicedfricative /v/ before long vowels. Easiness in production is considered whileomitting the final consonants Manuscript profile

To improve the position of contrastive linguistics in analyzing similarities and differences of two or more languages, an organized program and extra investigation is required. To compare Persian language to other languages. Recently, there are many jobs accomplished which are concerned with contrastive analysis in different fields, such as: grammar, phonology, discourse, lexicon and even, contrastive analysis of two texts of two languages. In this study, the objective was to show Persian, Kordish measure words (Length, Width, Depth, Thickness, and Height) and their respective adjectives and also to consider the similarities and differences of the two languages (Persian, Kurdish). The analysis showed that there are differences among measure words in Persian and Kurdish. These differences might create some problems for the learners of Persian language who are learning this language as a foreign or second language. Manuscript profile
