    Trends in Phytochemical Research (TPR) is an international, scientific, Open access and free of charge journal devoted to the publication of original articles focusing on:

    • Phytochemical Evaluations of Essential Oils or Organic Extracts in a Wide Spectrum of Herbal Plants
    • Bioactivities of Phytochemicals
    • Plant Chemistry 
    • Development, Improvement, Validation and/or Extension of Application of Analytical Methodology in the Plant Sciences
    • Ethnopharmacology and Traditional Uses of Medicinal Plants
    • Food Processing
    • Agricultural Aspects of Medicinal Plants
    • Bioinformatics/Computational Biology Approaches
    • Papers Dealing with Novel Methods Relating to Areas Such as Data Handling/Data Mining in Plant Sciences will also be welcomed.
    • The journal also invites original review papers advancing knowledge of plants in respect to their chemistry, function, biosynthesis, effects on other plants, and pathology. Moreover, comprehensive review papers normally no more than 60 pages) on recent advances in specific areas of plant analysis, and mini-reviews (strictly no more than five pages) covering the highlights of any particular hot topic in phytochemical analysis will be published. The Editor-in-Chief welcomes suggestions for new review topics from potential authors.

      Considering the statistics of TPR in 2019, the acceptance rate the submitted articles was about 49%. The average time between submission and final decision is six to eight weeks and the average time between acceptance and publication is about one month.

      The common types of the articles being accepted and falling within the scope of this journal are as follows:

      • Original research articles
      • Review or minireview papers
      • Guest editorial papers
      • Short communication papers

     

    As an "Open Access" journal, all the published review, original research articles, short communications, guest editorial papers in “Trends in Phytochemical Research (TPR)” journal are available free of charge for all researchers all over the world to be downloaded and used for scientific purposes, citation and getting enough information. This journal permits the authors and researchers to use its contents according to the Creative Common Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0) international user license. Accordingly, neither modifications nor commercial uses are permitted when using its contents. In fact, TPR supports "Open Access" and all of its accepted manuscripts are required to attach a CC BY-NC-ND 4.0  license.
