Trends in Phytochemical Research (TPR) is an international, scientific, Open access and free of charge journal devoted to the publication of original articles focusing on:
- Phytochemical Evaluations of Essential Oils or Organic Extracts in a Wide Spectrum of Herbal Plants
- Bioactivities of Phytochemicals
- Plant Chemistry
- Development, Improvement, Validation and/or Extension of Application of Analytical Methodology in the Plant Sciences
- Ethnopharmacology and Traditional Uses of Medicinal Plants

- Bioinformatics/Computational Biology Approaches
- Papers Dealing with Novel Methods Relating to Areas Such as Data Handling/Data Mining in Plant Sciences will also be welcomed.
- The journal also invites original review papers advancing knowledge of plants in respect to their chemistry, function, biosynthesis, effects on other plants, and pathology. Moreover, comprehensive review papers normally no more than 60 pages) on recent advances in specific areas of plant analysis, and mini-reviews (strictly no more than five pages) covering the highlights of any particular hot topic in phytochemical analysis will be published. The Editor-in-Chief welcomes suggestions for new review topics from potential authors.
Considering the statistics of TPR in 2019, the acceptance rate the submitted articles was about 49%. The average time between submission and final decision is six to eight weeks and the average time between acceptance and publication is about one month.
