This research aimed to investigate the association of perceived social support and emotional self-regulation with relapse of drug usage in women. This study was a cross-sectional from type of correlation. The statistical population of research included all woman narcotics anonymous who had undergone detoxification of Mashhad city in 2017 year. From them 103 person were selected by available sampling method and all of them completed the questionnaires of perceived social support (Zimet and et al, 1988), emotional self-regulation (Garnefski and et al, 2001) and temptation of post-detoxification craving (Fadardi and et al, 2008). Data was analyzed with Pearson correlation and multivariate regression with stepwise model methods. The findings of correlation showed perceived social support, positive emotional regulation strategies and negative emotional regulation strategies had a negative and significant relationship with relapse of drug usage in women. Also the finding of regression showed the variables of positive emotional regulation strategies and perceived social support can predict 12/1 percent of variance of relapse of drug usage in women (P<0/05). According to the results, it is suggested counselors and psychologists of addiction treatment centers to prevent of relapse of drug usage in women improve the perceived social support and emotional self-regulation of them. The present study was conducted with the aim of determining the effectiveness of the cognitive regulation of emotion and social competence training program on the emotional regulation of learners. The design of this research was pre-test-post-test with an unequal control group and the research method was semi-experimental in which the "emotional self-regulation" questionnaire was used before and after the training. The statistical population of the research was students in the 11th grade in the academic year of 1398-99 in Marand city, who were selected to participate in the research using a multi-stage cluster random sampling method of 60 people in three experimental groups 1, 2 and control and were replaced. The first experimental group was taught "cognitive emotion regulation" in 18 sessions (2 times a week and each session is 45 minutes); The second experimental group was taught "social competence" in 8 sessions (2 times a week and each session was 45 minutes) and the control group did not receive any training. The emotional self-regulation questionnaire of Gratz and Roemer (2004) was the tool of this research. Data were analyzed by SPSS-24 software. The results of multivariate and univariate covariance analysis showed that there is a significant difference between the groups in increasing emotional self-regulation (p<0.05). These findings showed the two methods of teaching social adequacy and cognitive regulation of emotion in improving non-acceptance of emotional responses; Difficulty in performing purposeful behavior, difficulty in impulse control, and lack of emotional clarity have different effects, and this difference is in favor of cognitive emotion regulation training (F=32.35, p<0.05). Is; But these two methods have the same effect in improving the lack of emotional awareness and limited access to emotional regulation strategies. Based on these findings, it was concluded that the training of "Cognitive Emotion Regulation Program" and "Social Adequacy Program" increases emotional self-regulation in students. Manuscript profile

Various psychological treatments have been provided for addiction treatment. The aim of the current study was to compare the effectiveness of treatment based on matrix deep outpatient model and stages of change on improvement of self-regulation and self-efficacy of drug abstinence in men addicted to amphetamines. For this purpose, 45 male drug abusers of amphetamines who referred to Razi addiction medicine clinic were selected, randomly, in a semi- experimental study with pre-test, post-test and in a 3 month follow up with a control group. They were assigned to two groups of experiment and control (a group intervention model based on outpatient deep matrix and other intervention stage of change model). The groups were evaluated both before and after the treatment and 3 months after the completion of treatment on emotional self-regulation, self-efficacy, and drug abstinence. The two groups of experiment underwent 16 sessions of treatment based on outpatient deep matrix model and stages of change, twice weekly. The result of multiple covariance analysis indicated the effectiveness of both models of treatment on reduction of emotional self-regulation problems and an increase in self-efficacy of drug abstinence. Comparative results indicated more effectiveness and stability in stages of change model compared to deep outpatient model in the post-test and three months follow-up on emotional self-regulation and self-efficacy of drug abstinence. It seems emotional self-regulation is important for the treatment of addiction and they consider emotional self-regulation as an effective mechanism on a change in clinical interventions. Emotion regulation means people’s efforts to influence the type, time and how to experience and express, change the duration or severity of behavioral, empirical and physical processes of emotions and have been automatically or controlled, conscious or non-conscious done by using emotion regulation strategies, such as reappraisal, rumination of thoughts, self-expression, avoidance and inhibition. Emotional self-regulation refers to one’s own efforts to change the situation, including thoughts, emotions, impulses, desires and behaviors and attention processes. The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between emotional self- regulation and resilience with coping styles for stress among students. For this purpose, in a descriptive and correlational study, a sample of 236 students from the University of Roudehen was selected through accessible sampling method and in terms of the coping strategies, cognitive emotion regulation and resilience was tested. The results of the hierarchical multiple regression approach showed that problem-focused coping style could be significantly and positively predicted by resilience. Among the emotional self- regulation strategies, rumination and catastrophizing predict negatively and refocus on planning and positive reappraisal predict positively and significantly problem-focused coping style. Emotion-focused coping style could be negatively and significantly predicted by resilience.Among emotional self- regulation strategies, blaming oneself and others predict positively and accepting and taking a view predict negatively and significantly emotion-focused coping style. Obsessive illness is one of the severe problems and disorders, the cause of which is challenging to recognize and treat. Therefore, the research was conducted with the aim of predicting the relapse of obsessive-compulsive disorder based on the physical-psychological components of corona anxiety and emotional self-regulation in patients with obsessive-compulsive disorder. The research method was descriptive-correlation. Among the women suffering from obsessive compulsive disorder who referred to Parham Clinic in Kermanshah in 2023, 200 people were selected using the available sampling method and obsessive-compulsive questionnaire (Hodgson and Rachman, 1977), corona anxiety (Alipour et al., 2018) and emotional self-regulation (Gross and John, 2003) they completed. Data analysis was done with the methods of descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation coefficient and multivariate regression with the help of SPSS version 26 statistical software. The results showed that corona anxiety (r=0.29 and p=0.014) and its components have a positive and significant correlation with the recurrence of obsessive-compulsive symptoms (p<0.05). Also, emotional self-regulation (r=-0.48 and p=0.018) and its dimensions were able to negatively and significantly predict the recurrence of obsessive-compulsive symptoms. Regression analysis using the simultaneous method also showed that predictor variables together predicted 31% of the variance of recurrence of obsessive-compulsive symptoms. Considering these results, it seems that by improving emotional self-regulation and controlling the anxiety of Corona, it is possible to reduce the recurrence of obsessive-compulsive symptoms in these patients.
