Abstract :

This research aimed to investigate the association of perceived social support and emotional self-regulation with relapse of drug usage in women. This study was a cross-sectional from type of correlation. The statistical population of research included all woman narcotics anonymous who had undergone detoxification of Mashhad city in 2017 year. From them 103 person were selected by available sampling method and all of them completed the questionnaires of perceived social support (Zimet and et al, 1988), emotional self-regulation (Garnefski and et al, 2001) and temptation of post-detoxification craving (Fadardi and et al, 2008). Data was analyzed with Pearson correlation and multivariate regression with stepwise model methods. The findings of correlation showed perceived social support, positive emotional regulation strategies and negative emotional regulation strategies had a negative and significant relationship with relapse of drug usage in women. Also the finding of regression showed the variables of positive emotional regulation strategies and perceived social support can predict 12/1 percent of variance of relapse of drug usage in women (P<0/05). According to the results, it is suggested counselors and psychologists of addiction treatment centers to prevent of relapse of drug usage in women improve the perceived social support and emotional self-regulation of them.
