Abstract The main purpose of the present study was to investigate the relationship between personality traits and emotional intelligence of university students. Research method was correlation, and statistical population included Miane university students in the school year 2011-12, among them 380 persons from different majors (226 female students and 154 male students) were selected by cluster random sampling method. The assessment tools included the 60-short form question of personality traits of NEO (NEO PI-R,1992) Questionnaire and Bar-on EQ test(1997) which consisted of 90 item. Data were analyzed using Pearson’s correlation coefficient, stepwise regression analysis. Results showed significant positive relationship between extraversion, openness to experience, agreeableness and conscientiousness with emotional intelligence (P>0.01), But there was a significant negative relationship between neuroticism and emotional intelligence (P>0.01). Also there were not significant different between males and females EQ (P>0.05). Stepwise regression analysis showed that there were personality traits can significantly predict the emotional intelligence (P>0.01). Manuscript profile

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between neuroticism, agreeableness and conscientiousness with job burnout and the moderating role of psychological hardiness in satellite staff of Iran National Drilling Company. The research method is a descriptive correlational design. The statistical population of the study consisted of all the staff of the National Iranian Drilling Company in 2018, of which 161 were selected through available sampling method, and copleted The Neo Characteristics Questionnaire (Costa and McCrae, 1992), Psychological Hardiness Questionnaire (Kyamarthi, 1997), and Burnout Job Questionnaire (Maslach, 1982). Data were analyzed using regression analysis and SPSS-22 software. The results of the data analysis showed that there is a positive and significant relationship between neuroticism and job burnout. There is also a negative and significant relationship between agreeableness and conscientiousness with job burnout. Also, psychological hardiness could moderate the relationship between predictive variables and job burnout. Keywords: Neuroticism, Agreeableness, Conscientiousness, Psychological Hardiness, Job Burnout. Manuscript profile

The aim of the current study was to investigate the relationship between the five-factor model of personality and happiness. The research method was descriptive of correlation kind. The cluster sample (N= 380, 281 females and 99 males) was selected from the population i.e. 14498 students of Payam-e-Noor University branches of Qazvin province during the academic year of 2010-2011. The five factors of personality as well as happiness were assessed with the revised NEO personality and the Oxford happiness inventories, respectively. The reliability for general factors of neuroticism, extroversion, openness, agreeableness, and conscientiousness was 0.78, 0.70, 0.69, 0.84, 0.87, respectively, and for Oxford happiness inventories the Cronbach’s alpha coefficient was 0.93.   The data were analyzed using Pearson correlation and the regression method. The results showed that among the five personality factors, happiness was positively and significantly correlated to conscientiousness and negatively and significantly correlated to neuroticism. Purpose: The aim of this research was to determine the effect of personality characteristics of MA students in Knowledge and Information Science on two factor of information seeking behavior (Seeking the hours per week and use of channels of access to information). Methodology: This research was an applied research and method of this research was analytical survey using correlation. NEO-personality inventory-revised has been used that investigates the students in 5 factors (Extraversion / Neuroticism / Openness to experience / Agreeableness / Conscientiousness). For identifying the student’s information seeking another separated questionnaire has been used. The reliability of these two questionnaire items with Cronbach's alpha was 75% and 80%. The population included 60 MA students of Islamic Azad University (Sciences and Research Branch). To analyze the data, some related statistical methods were utilized. Findings: There is negative and significant relationship between Neuroticism and Seeking the hours per week (r= -0/003). There is positive and significant relationship between Extraversion and Seeking the hours per week (r= 0/541). There are relationship between Openness to experience and Seeking the hours per week (r= 0/258) and between Agreeableness and Seeking the hours per week (r= 0/275). There isn’t any significant relationship between Conscientiousness and Seeking the hours per week (r= 0/092). The other findings show that there is negative and significant relationship between Neuroticism and use of Channels of access to information (r= -0/001) and there is positive and significant relationship between Extraversion and use of Channels of access to information (r=0/483). There are relationship between Openness to experience and use of Channels of access to information (r= 0/218) and between Agreeableness and use of Channels of access to information (r= 0/247). There isn’t any significant relationship between Conscientiousness and use of Channels of access to information (r= 0/051). Conclusion: Extroverted students spend more time for searching and meeting their information need than the others and Nervous students less than the others. Extroverted students use Libraries and information centers more than the other students and the other channels for access to information. Manuscript profile

This study investigated the reliability and validity of Dependability and Aggression subscales of the CBI (Goodstein & Lanyon, 2002). 172 male workers completed the Buss-Perry Questionnaire (1992), the Applicant Risk Profiler (ARP; Liobet, 2001), and the Neuroticism More
This study investigated the reliability and validity of Dependability and Aggression subscales of the CBI (Goodstein & Lanyon, 2002). 172 male workers completed the Buss-Perry Questionnaire (1992), the Applicant Risk Profiler (ARP; Liobet, 2001), and the Neuroticism Extraversion Openness Personality Inventory (NEO; Costa & McCrae, 1992). Reliability was assessed using Cronbach’s alpha and test-retest measures. Convergent construct validity was studied, measuring correlations with the Buss-Perry Questionnaire, the Aggressive Tendencies of the CBI and Workplace Compliance subscales of the Applicant Risk Profiler, and the Conscientiousness and Agreeableness subscales of the NEO were used for assessing the divergent construct validity. Reliability of dependability, aggression, and a combination of both subscales were respectively 0.84, 0.86, and 0.92. Test-retest reliability of dependability, aggression, and a combination of both subscales were respectively 0.77, 0.73, and 0.76. Items in the Dependedability and Aggression subscales of CBI were significantly correlated (r = 0.81). Convergent validity indicated significant positive correlation between the Aggression subscales of CBI and the Buss-Perry Questionnaire subscales and correlation between CBI Aggression subscale and the ARP Aggressive Tendencies was 0.58. Divergent validity was 0.37, found by measuring correlation between the CBI Aggression and NEO Agreeableness. The Dependability subscale of CBI was negatively correlated with the conscientiousness subscale of NEO(r = -0.47). Manuscript profile
