According to development economists in the modern theory of economic growth, total factor productivity is affected by domestic research and development costs .It also depends on the accumulation of foreign R & D and the volume of imports. According to the results of this research, total factor productivity in agriculture of Iran's is dependent on domestic and foreign R & D expenditures and the volume of imports from Partners. For this purpose, a model of agricultural total factor productivity to Iran with the help of ARDL econometrics approach and the time series between 1980 - 2010 was estimated.  The results showed that effect of domestic research expenditures on agricultural productivity is less than of foreign investment in research and development. In this study, intermediate inputs and goods imports have a positive and significant impact on agricultural TFP in the long-term. Climatic conditions as a symbol of rain, has a positive effect on agricultural total factor productivity. Based on this model, it is suggested that a significant proportion of GDP allocated to domestic agricultural research.  Furthermore, it is essential that agricultural imports from countries with a high volume of research and development to be done to enhance the size of productivity in this sector. Improving the productivity of financial markets plays an important role in the economies of countries. Given the bank-oriented financing system of most countries, it is important to know the ways to measure and increase the level of productivity in banks. Accordingly, the purpose of this study is investigating the short-term and long-term causality between capital adequacy, labor and Total Factor Productivity (TFP) in a set of 10 banks listed on the Tehran Stock Exchange in 2010-2019. So, Dynamic Ordinary Least Squares (DOLS) method, Vector Error Correction Model (VECM) and Wald test have been used. According to the results, in the short run, a one-way Causality from capital adequacy to TFP is obtained. In the long run, the two-way relationships between labor and capital adequacy variables with TFP are positive. In this study, the error correction term, which indicates the speed of short-term adjustment to long-term equilibrium, has been evaluated Manuscript profile

AbstractThe industry sector is one of the most important and influential sectors in the economy ofany country. Information and communication technology can be effective on all types ofproductivity in industries through infrastructure channels. Iran, as a developing country, seeks to improve productivity due to its special conditions. In industries, in order to uselimited resources more and more efficiently, so that by increasing its competitive power,it can be successful in competing with global markets and international arenas. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to investigate the impact of information and communicationtechnology on the productivity of all production factors.capital productivity and laborproductivity in factory industries of Zanjan and Qazvin provinces This research in termsof its practical purpose and its time period includes the years 2006-2016. The statisticalpopulation also includes factory industries with 10 workers and above in the two provincesof Zanjan and Qazvin. The relevant data is based on the latest published information ofthe four-digit isic codes of the industries. Factories with 10 or more workers in twoprovinces have been collected from the Iranian Statistics Center. The research hypotheseswere tested through panel data using the Cobb-Douglas production function and estimatedby Ols method by Eviews econometrics software. The results of this study show that Fawadoes not have a significant effect on capital productivity and labor productivity in twoprovinces, but it shows a negative and significant effect on the total productivity ofproduction factors in two provinces. Therefore, in order to increase the level of productionand improve productivity, different industries should include in their long-term plan bypreparing the necessary infrastructure for the introduction of technology suitable for theconditions and structure of the industry and providing new courses to prepare thespecialized workforce with new technologies. This article has investigated the effect of information and communication technology (ICT) on the production and total factor productivity by using the analysis of the panel data. To perform this, the analysis was done through the application of the statistical data received from the industrial firms related to Iran's StatisticsCenter using a panel data model to the firm level, based on the latest published information (2006-2007). The study has been conducted with two approaches. In the first one, the effects of information and communication technology on the production through estimating the expanded function of Cobb Douglas, regarding the largeness of the agency and the type of the industry have been noted. Six measuring characteristics related to the amount of implementing information and communication technology in Iranian Industry, within the scope of agencies, have been taken into account. In the second approach, the extended production function of Cobb Douglas has been estimated for the two groups of agencies. The groups included those which applied computers in doing the tasks and those which did not. Then, the amounts of the productivity of total production factors were compared. Accordingly, the effect of ICT on production in the first approach, and its effect on total factor productivity in the second one have been considered. The results indicate that most ICT characteristics confirm the positive effects of the information and communication technology on the productivity to the firm level. Also, the results of the second approach validate the undeniable impact of the so-called technologies on the total factor productivity.   Manuscript profile

The purpose of this paper is decomposition of total factor productivity (TFP) to technological progress, technical efficiency, allocative efficiency, scale effects in Iran’s manufacturing industries. For this, a stochastic Frontier production model was estimated for 135 manufacturing industries over the period 1379-1393. The findings showed that technological progress in 21 industrial groups has been grew on average 12 percent annually. In relation to technical efficiency many of technical industries have been weaken in using exist technologies or have been inefficient technically. The third factor findings showed that Iran’s manufacturing industries have been utilized from scale effects. In relation to allocative efficiency, also, all groups have experienced negative growth except Recycle group. In result, among components of total factor productivity, allocative efficiency has been more unfavorable and it refers to in Iran’s economy the resources allocate in unfavorable.  On the base of the results, improvement in financing system, increasing in private sector capacitance, improvement in business space are suggested.  Manuscript profile

This study is done in order to measure the total factor productivity in Sari Khosh Noosh Company during 2003-2009 by using monthly data and production function. At first, we took the data of capital stock based on exponential trend. Then, different types of functions were estimated, and finally chose Cobb-Douglas production function as the best form. To guarantee avoiding spurious regression, co-integration tests are used. Ultimately, by using Kenderik index, we calculated the total factor productivity and its growth rate. The results explained that, during of this period, the total productivity of the company has decreased. Manuscript profile

AbstractFinancial integration through increasing the level of investment in countries can have many positive effects on macroeconomic variables such as employment, economic growth, increasing the volume of international trade and ultimately the productivity of countries. This study examines whether fiscal integration in Iran can affect overall productivity growth and whether integration policies and subsequent fiscal integration can be among the policies that are needed. Should these countries adopt for their economic integration process? This study investigates the role and effects of financial integration on the productivity of total factors of production through the vector Autoregressive Distributed Lag during the period 1379-1398 for the Iranian economy. The results of estimating the model in the short and long term indicate a positive and significant relationship between financial integration and productivity during the selected time period. Also, variables such as trade openness and domestic investment have a positive relationship with productivity, but the inflation rate has had a negative impact on overall productivity. One of the ways for encouraging economic development in oil exporting countries like Iran (which is known as an oil-dependent economy) is moving toward diversification of export revenues rapidly by increasing non-oil exports. This goal is not accessible without a comprehensive survey and examination of factors that affects non-oil exports condition. Although, in many developed countries, export and import analysis is performed in framework of relevant price variables (Also in our country most of the surveys have not gone beyond this framework). But it seems that institutional, scientific, technological and management factors have much greater effect on export variables in Iran in comparison to other countries. Hence, in this article we have tried to go beyond previous studies by adding real and non-price factors to quantitative model of non-oil export in order to estimate their impacts. In order to do this, we have considered non-oil exports to be a function of real exchange rate, total factor productivity, gross national product and the degree of openness of the economy. In addition, we have used ARDL for estimating the model and investigating the effects of each of these factors on non-oil export during 1975-2007. Finding of this paper shows that non-oil export is significantly and effectively, dependant on non-price variables. The results of our estimation show that productivity, degree of economic openness and GDP have positive effects on non-oil export. Albeit according to basic problems in production and export and according to our estimations, we claim that exchange rate does not have a significant impact on non-oil export. Manuscript profile

Productivity is one the important concepts and fundamental necessity for the economic growth and development of all countries of the world. Hence, the study and identification of variables and factors influencing it, is essential especially for appropriate policymaking. The main objective of this study can be served as an investigation of the effect of exchange rate fluctuations on the TFP growth and to achieve this, the third class of endogenous growth theories have been considered in order to design hypotheses and model. To test hypotheses, the panel data methodology is employed for the period of 2000 to 2009 and the specified model is estimated for 7 selected countries of APO members including I.R Of Iran in deferent approaches and in order to determine the presence and type of effects, the Leamer and Hauseman tests are carried out.The results of estimations confirm our two hypotheses and statistically indicate that the significant relation between exchange rate fluctuations and TFP growth cannot be rejected so that the TFP growth will decline if the exchange rate increases and vice versa. Furthermore, the study has several consequences which are concerned with the effects of other variables on the TFP growth, such as the degree of openness to foreign trade and inflationary circumstances. Policy recommendations have been discussed in the terminal sector of paper.  Manuscript profile
