In the second half of the 20 century Martin Seligman, American psychologist, proposed a new look to psychology. In his new approach, the psychologists focus on the half full part of the glass instead of its half empty part and illuminate dark points of the mind and psych by developing available capabilities of individuals. In this approach optimism is of two kinds: innate and explanatory. In innate optimism individual sees every future thing optimistic and justifies them for the sake of escape. But in explanatory optimism the individual ascribes the success to inner mental forces and causes. Knowing this psychological approach, the writers of this article led to search this outlook in Arabic poetic literature in order to deal with optimism in Motenabbi's panegyrics from Seligman psychological viewpoints in an interdisciplinary format and with the hypothesis that Motenabbi enjoyed an optimistic outlook in his poems. In this way the above mentioned hypothesis is solved by library studies and data gathering and the question of optimism in Motenabbi's panegyrics is answered from Seligman psychologic approach and ultimately the article reaches to two inate and explanatory optimism in Motenabbi's Divān (collected poems) Manuscript profile

Arabic loanwords are subjected to changes including phonological changes, in Persian language. Are changes of Arabic loanwords in Persian rule-governed? Are these changes subject to phonological rules? In the present article, types of phonological changes in Arabic loanwords are studied according to Generative Phonological Theory of Chomsky and Hale known as SPE which has revised constantly by generative linguists. Generative phonology is a part of Generative Grammar that assigns appropriate phonological representations to speeches in a way as if they are reflections of embedded grammar of vernacular speakers. The most important constituents of this theory are: layers of phonological representation; phonological rules; derivations; distinctive and linear features. The article follows an analytic-descriptive method. In the first place looks, as a necessary background, to phonological structure of Arabic and Persian. Then, studies types of phonological changes in Arabic loanwords: assimilation, dissimilation, deletion, metathesis, compensatory lengthening together with examples in each case. Consequently, this study shows that Persian speakers as speakers of other languages, make mostly phonological changes in Arabic loanwords in order to become consistent to Persian phonological system. “The Diaries of Prosecutor’s Representative in the Village” is, no doubt, one of the most prominent works ever written by Tawfiq Hakim, the contemporary Arab novelist .The proof to this claim can be the fact that the novel has been translated into many other languages, and used as the basic plot for different movies. This article aims at reviewing story elements of this novel’s story such as setting, time, character, dialogue, and plot. Changes which occurred during the recent years reveal the area's sense of  Islamic awakening. Of course some do not accept the influence of Islamic learning in this awakening and recount other reasons. Undoubtedly Islamic awakening began with occupation of Palestine in the region and continued with different ideologies some of which were west oriented and some national religious oriented ones. This sense of awakening is clearly reflected in Arabic literature as well as Bahrain's literature which is the subject of this paper. Special  terminology indicates the effect of Islamic learning on the poet. For example, in Bahrain's literature one can observe terms such as Allah (God), Alnabi (prophet),Alkoran ( Holy Koran), Alrab (God), Almeraj(salvation), Alshahid(martyr)w which is a proof to this influence. Among  the  stories  of shahname , sometimes you  can see stories  which can be studied separate from the main one. One of these , is the story about Sorkhe the  famous e son  of Afrasiab in the war  between Iran  and Tooran  which occurred to claim the blood of Siavash .Sorkhe has the same destiny as Siavosh. Now  the question which probably occurs to mind is why Rustam did not forgive him.  The answer is in the epic war and stories , that during the war the good enemy and the evil friend are infused . As Afrasiab , sacrifices  Siavash  by the name  of enemy and  doesn’t let  the blood to raised and the  other  matter  is that when  someone's death approaches , nothing can be done. These stories  which culminate to the   death  of a hero  first have  to be seen by the view of epics, as Shahname  is specialized  to epic stories , though ending  of this epic story is tragic. In this study  the researcher tries to  see the  roots of Rustam's motivation for killing this innocent boy, and  in doing so  to arouse the reader's and sometimes the poet's rage.  Manuscript profile
