Abstract The main purpose of this research was to study the relationship between work environment factors and organizational commitment of faculty members. In this study, the necessary information collected by implementing the work environment questionnaire and organizational commitment questionnaire on part time and full time faculty members at Islamic Azad universities of the eighth who were selected based on stratified random sampling. The result of research revealed that there was a significant correlation between role conflict, role overload, task identity, feedback, supervisory consideration, hierarchy of authority and formalization with organizational commitment. According to the environment factors, it was possible to suggest an equation for predicting organizational commitment.
