        Modern media tools that are the product of globalization and the communication and data revolution have a great and considerable role in challenging the values and norms dominating Islamic Republic of Iran. The speed of such changes is so much that it affects the life, growth, and maturation of the youth and causes astray of the young generation from the goals of Islamic revolution through interfering with the sociability of the young generation and isolates them from moving towards the idealized novel Islamic civilization and this leads to gaps between the generations. This article uses the theory of contradiction of primary and secondary social upbringing of Berger and Luckman and the theory of functionalism of Talcott Parsons in a descriptive-analytical method by looking at the second step statement of the revolution to the impact of the communication and information revolution on intergenerational between generations in Iran.   The research method was descriptive-analytic and data collection was done through the use of library method. Our research findings showed that communication and information revolution and following that, the emerge of modern and rapid media tools such as internet, satellites, and virtual social networks, and the recess of the role of foundations such as family and school lead to interferences in sociability of the youth and causes challenges in transferring the values, social teachings, and political and cultural values from a generation to another one.           After the World War II developing countries were growing rapidly and they experienced many social changes such as social movements. After these concrete structural changes, some abstract changes occurred within the deepest social layers and the changes in social status of the youth have resulted from such revolutions. Also the Iran has been affected by some of these changes such as population growth, urban residence development, and globalization and some outcomes of these important changes have led to generation gaps. Thus, considering the gaps between generations in Iran and the policy making and management of it is highly important. Cultural policy making is among the most effective strategies to deal with the problem. Therefore, the researcher in this study has tried to propose some resolutions regarding the primary and secondary social growth contradiction theory posed by Berger and Lockman along with investigating the gap between generations in Iran within the framework of Cyclic Policy Making Model of Jones. The research method is descriptive-analytic and data collection through a library study. The findings of the study indicate that the manner of interaction among religion, government and family has a determining impact on decreasing or increasing the generation gap. Also, the expansion of urbanization, population growth and information and communication revolutions have led new generation to face a new world and made a change in their values, norms and cultures.
