In this paper the rehabilitation of concrete structures with a new system is considered. In this system pre- stressed cables with energy dissipating viscous spring dampers at the end of each cable, are used to increase structure lateral stiffness. Cable system can be replaced with other system due to their high tensile resistance, their easy replacement, high speed performance, economical matters and so on. This system can be used to retrofit existing structures. Using this system not only reduces stories relative lateral displacements considerably but also allows them to have nearly equal displacements. In other words lateral stiffness resulted form cable in each story can easily be set by changing the passing position of cable and floor, according to frame displacement results. Two concrete frame structures one three and another six story buildings- were modeled with the SAP 2000package and optimum of cable form was obtained. Comparing flexural frame results with cable system optimized case showed that the most reduction in relative lateral displacement occurred in the stories which had maximum displacements in flexural frame system. Concrete Filled Steel tube columns (CFST) are a Kind of composite columns according to advantages of CFST relative to reinforced concrete and steel columns. Use of these materials is common in recent years especially in high building, unnecessary of molding, high ductility, proportionate resistance with low volume, economical, low deformation relative to steel columns are among advantages. In this research, effective parameters on CFST columns behavior are investigated experimentally and analytically. For these researches, six speciments of CFST columns with three to one scale are considered. In analytically investigation it is used finite elements method and ANSYS 10 soft ware, also steel tube and concrete, and stiffeners are modeled with finite elements. For consideration bond strength between steel and concrete it is used contact elements. Investigated specimens (experimentally and analytically) are molded as a cantilever. Specimens loaded axially with enhancing cyclic lateral load. The enhancing lateral load is using with cyclic lateral displacement in end column. (Displacement control) In this research three sets of columns with shape, square, circle and octagonal sections took into account some of them are without stiffeners and some are with stiffeners at whole length or in 30 cm of lower part of the specimens are considered, that effects of column section shape and effects of stiffeners in column behavior are investigated. Determining the responses of floating structures at sea are the most important concerns in shipbuilding industry. In physical and dynamical principles a ship can be analyzed as a free elastic beam floating in sea without any supports. The analysis of corresponding dynamic equations are difficult and time- consuming, thus investigation on the behavior of floating structures can be done numerically using specific software. In this research, instead of using expensive specific software, ANSYS 9 as a typical finite element software is used for investigating the effect of various parameters on an assumed floating structuse. In this way, after structural modal analysis, modeling and analysis of the structure with variation on its properties under different sea environment have been done and the responses are illustrated. Amid- Ship moment is one of the most important and effective parameters in ship design. In this paper, due to different ship speed and stiffness of cross section, amid- ship moment beside the shear force of various cross section along the ship are considered and the critical shear cross section is determined.              In the present paper, a landslide and its stabilization is studied on a slope of Tabriz Northern Freeway. This landslide is a large scale one, and as the study zone has a sliding potential so that its study is quite necessary. The analysis of landslide has been performed using STABL software. The way of obtaining the critical slope for land slide amongst different sections and determining a successful and optimum stability method for each section with sliding possibility, is very important. In the slope under study this has been done using radial sections’ method which shows that the slide does not occur in the direction of the largest slope when there are irregularities in ground. The study of methods of stabilization of sections with sliding potential and their economical studies is of particular importance. It is quite possible that a local stabilization for a land- slide, may stabilize the while sliding zong. Knowledge of ways of occurrence of different landslides and study of their proper stabilization methods for any particular land- slide is the base of landslide studies. Also the stabilization analysis will be important after performing the stabilization method to show that if the stabilization method is significant. Manuscript profile

It is correct control and monitoring of modern embankment dams that are very vital in the geotechniqual constructions. The improvement of methods of stability control, using the effective stress and the measurement of ganglionic water pressure in embankment dams cause more the safety for this kind of dams. Nowedays there is such an idea that in stead of using of being safety factor against coast, designments must be done according to acceptable displacement. Analytic appraoach is using the finite element that is capable of fortelling the displacement parameters. Monitoring of dams with setting up accurate tools in the sensitive points and measurement various parameters such as pore water pressure and displacement points and measurement various parameters such as pore water pressure and displacement more or most common settlement and movement is possible. The displacement that occur all of a sudden at the end of this process can indicate be causes of enlargement of strain inside the dam body. This is the reason of undesirable decreasing of stresses or causes the start of an increasing impairment. By investigation of datas and using inverted analysis about the very unusual condition of mahabad dam, it has been tried to define the cause of this action in this thesis. From the start of construction an unnatural settlement and horizontal movement has occurred in it. During the construction 130 cm and during the exploitation 60 cm settlement has occurred in the foundation up to now. Also From the end of construction the maximum settlement and vertical movement are 150 cm and 100 cm respectively. In this paper monitoring of dams Mahabad with using acculate tools information and numerical analytic has consideratd. In performing numerical analytic from PLAXIS using finite element program. After construction cutoff walls and finishing operation injection in foundation of dam, rate of seepage from foundation is decreased and is according to numerical calculations in negligible extent and rate of seepage in body dam.               The structural slenderness ration (height/ with) is one of the title that can be discussed in quake design of building. But unfortunately, in  Iranian code isn’t mention this mater. In this article, bending and bracying structures system are chosen with slenderness ratio 2 upto 6. (11, 17, 23, 29, 35 stage). All of structure are analysed and designed in linear method, then analysed in unlinear method by elcentro earthquake too. Internal forces (average of moment & shear forces in external and internal frames), drift and hinged plastic joint are calculated. In bending system, internal forces are stricken changed in rate of 3 to 6 at linear method. Possibility of structural mechanism (collapse) are increased in this rate too.In bracing structure system, drift are increased in steady procedure and structural mechanism isn’t created Manuscript profile

With considerable dispersion in many areas of the world sediments are among the most important sediments in deserted environments. A stabilization method for this type of beds is making use of the setting property of natural pozzolana in the vicinity of lime. These soils have little strength, both in natural humidity as well as in full saturation conditions. Their dispersion in many areas of the world is another important point about them which adds to the significance of this study. In this study an experimental investigation has been carried out on two types of soils (taken from two different beds), and the results have been presented in strength gain diagrams, in different curing periods, and the changes that occurred when different percentages of pozzolanas were used are shown. Referring to these diagrams and results of durability tests with different freeze- thaw cycles, a percentage of pozzolana has been recommended that, from durability point of view in this type of beds, that makes it possible to construct the required routes on these beds Manuscript profile

Considering soil Properties, moisture is of central significance, affecting its physical characteristics and behavior. That is why, determining soil water volume and the way it moves through soil is of importance. The most basic parameter in water movement is hydraulic conductivity in saturated and unsaturated conditions. The present study, incorporating Campbell method of soil characteristic curve, aims at developing a method for soil moisture measurement, suggesting a new method to measure unsaturated soil hydraulic conductivity. In this research, soil moisture was obtained by using four electrode method through installation of moisturemeters in soil layers in test cylinder, and soil resistance is measured by measuring voltage between electrodes of moisturemeters, making use of Richard’s partial differential eqution and finite difference method. The hydraulic conductivity of the soil under experiment (silty clay of Mazandaran) was determined with a variety of initial water contents. Test results are in expected range and fitted equation k=10 -10 . e  49.755 θ shows a very good agreement with them.In spite of the fact that four electrode method may not be as accurate as some other methods, its simplicity and the lower expenses in addition to the possibility of installation in site to control soil water movement makes it advantageous among others.
