Background and Objective: Waste Management Organization (WMO) has always sought to educate and promote citizens in waste separation from the source. WMO, by developing the training programs, seeks to teach the concept of waste management operations to public citizens. This can be done through the municipal waste management educators. However, the question that should be addressed in this study is that: what challenges the municipal waste management educators are faced with in carrying out their duties, knowing that the problems and challenges of a career in teaching are usually considered as barriers. Method: This study was carried out based on the questionnaires of Akphilet and Kout, in which 172 educators, working in municipal WMO, responded 5 questions on the Likert scale. Findings: Occupational challenges check reveals that the place of employment has not provided the necessary opportunities for learning and professional development. Yet, 59% of the educators believed that the organization needed to encourage learning and did not provide the basis for more professional development. However, the teachers of 20-25 and over 35 years old are seeking professional development opportunities more than others, and people become less willing to use their professional growth opportunities with the increase of their experience. Discussion and Conclusion: The results showed that the influence of organizational factors of progress is more than individual factors. The people believe that the organization have to provide the basis for development and professional growth rather than attempting to make development and professional growth by themselves. The regression coefficient calculated for professional development measures showed that different parts affect the process of professional development. Manuscript profile

The pedagogical roles of teacher educators (TEs) in recruiting and educating future language teachers have recently gained attention among language researchers and scholars. Hence, this study set to investigate the pedagogical roles of Iranian non-native teacher educators (TEs) in educating preservice and in-service EFL teachers from the viewpoint of language institute managers. To this end, following a qualitative survey research design, a total of 30 institute managers were selected via the snowball sampling method and engaged in semi-structured, in-depth interviews. The participants’ responses were voice recorded and then thematic analysis was conducted to extract the main themes and subcomponents. The findings of the study showed that institute managers assigned three main instructional roles to TEs: holding preservice/in-service teacher education courses, revising the assessment system, and designing effective language syllabuses. Accordingly, language institute managers believed that effective TEs should not only be responsible for running teacher education courses but also engage in the evaluation process by checking and revising the testing procedures and designing and developing relevant instructional syllabuses in cooperation with educational managers of the institutes. The pedagogical findings of the study are also discussed. Manuscript profile

This study aimed to assess research barriers for educators and its related solutions. This is a descriptive survey study. Statistical population was middle school teachers in district 2 of education and training organization in Qom (Iran). 97 educators were selected through random sampling. Data collection was done using a researcher-made questionnaire (its reliability was 0.87) based on a five point Likert scale. Data analysis was done through descriptive and differential statistics (X2 test, one-sample Z-test and ANOVA). Results showed that cultural, individual (technical and specialization) factors, method of presenting research services, administrative-structural and motivational factors were preventive factors affecting educators’ research performance. In addition, the most frequent barriers were lack of team working in research performance, lack of institutionalized culture in the field of research, lack of authorities’ attention toward educators’ research. The most important solutions were to allocate some educators’ time to research, and to pay attention to their earning. There was no significant difference between different barriers Manuscript profile

The main purpose of this study is to identify the administrative barriers in the field of aesthetic and artistic education of the Fundamental Evolution Document in education, based on the Fullan model (2007). The field of artistic education has been forgotten and neglected, despite the tremendous impact it can have on morale and, consequently, on the learning of learners and even their educators. This research project is the "combined" type (simultaneous test). The study population included two independent groups of curriculum and education specialists (in the qualitative section) as well as primary school teachers (in the quantitative section). The sample size includes 12 curriculum and education specialists and 120 primary school teachers .The sampling method in the first part (qualitative) is theoretical and purposeful method and its tools include semi-constructed and unstructured interview and in the second part (quantitative) it is "purposeful and preferable" and the research tool includes a 30 questions researcher-made questionnaire. Quantitative data analysis involves the Wilcoxon single-sample and Friedman tests to rank the Barriers to the implementation of the Fundamental Evolution Document based on the components of the Fullen model. Qualitative data analysis was also performed using the seven-step )Colaizzi, 1987) method. The results of the study confirm the gap between the designers of the Evolution Document and its implementers in schools, which, in addition to other existing administrative barriers, contributes to the inefficiency of the Fundamental Evolution Document in the implementation phase. The purpose of this study was to investigate the virtual courses of educators’ in-service training. This research adopted a descriptive approach to conduct the study using survey method. Its statistical population consisted of 881 teachers in Dehloran in 2014. Using the stratified sampling, the sample size was determined as 267 persons by Morgan and Krejcie table, of whom 134 were men and 133 were women who answered the researcher-made questionnaire being prepared based on theoretical foundations of the study as well as previous studies. Face and content validities of the questionnaire were also confirmed using the ideas of a number of experts and specialists of virtual training courses, and the questionnaire reliability was estimated as 0.88 using Chronbach's alpha coefficient. The Kolmogorov Smirnov and Binominal (proportions) tests were used to analyze the data. The results showed that the lack of provision of necessary infrastructures and facilities for virtual training courses effectiveness and lack of the virtual training courses effectiveness compared to attending courses sit among the challenges. Moreover, educational courses compatible with the needs of educators and acquisition of necessary skills for effective use of in-service virtual training courses can be seen as opportunities. The purpose of this study was to determine the importance of eleven professional competencies related to needs assessment and program development; a secondary purpose was to identify the best time these competencies should be learned. The study followed a survey research design, in which 441 randomly selected extension educators in the North Central Region of the United States responded to a questionnaire through an online survey. Results suggest that respondents perceived nine of the eleven competencies as highly important for their professional development. High percentages of the respondents also reported that six competencies should be learned on the job. Stepwise regression analysis revealed the demographics of “gender” and “education” as statistically significant predictors in determining respondents’ perceptions. Findings indicate a need for flexible staff development programs for extension educators through graduate education, in-service programs, and on-the-job training. Findings have implications for designing new policies for employee selection, training, professional development, and performance appraisal. Further study was recommended to determine whether the findings would be valid at the national level. Manuscript profile

One of the ways to ensure food safety is to educate the public. Of the organizations providing food safety education in the United States (U.S.), the Cooperative Extension System (CES) is one of the most reliable. The effectiveness CES programs depends not only on what is being taught but also on how it is taught. Both a needs-based curriculum and how that curriculum is delivered are equally important. This descriptive cross-sectional study using a disproportional stratified random sample identified the teaching methods and tools being used by food safety extension educators of the CES of North Central Region (NCR). A Likert-type scale administered to extension educators revealed that they were adopting a balanced use of teaching methods and tools, and using learner-centered teaching methods in their programs. However, distance education, case studies and podcasts, which are commonly used in education programs, were not being used extensively. We recommend that food safety extension educators of NCR should increase the use of these two teaching methods and tool while continuing to use the current ones. This study has implications for improving food safety education delivery to clients in the NCR and for designing inservice education for food safety extension educators. Manuscript profile

Objective: To present a plan for developing a model for the production of tactile books (from the perspective of production experts and educators of blind and visually impaired 3- to 6-year-old children) Methodology: The present study is a combined application. In the quality section, the Delphi method has been used to obtain the consensus of experts in the production and publication of tactile books. In the quantitative part, a researcher-made questionnaire was used to aggregate the views of educational instructors in an analytical survey. The content validity coefficient of the questionnaire was higher than 0.99 and the content validity index was higher than 0.79. The reliability of the questionnaire was measured based on Cronbach's alpha coefficient equal to 0.863. The statistical population includes all experts in the production and publication of tactile books, which includes 33 production experts, of which 21 experts were selected as members of the Delphi panel in the qualitative part of the research by available sampling. In the quantitative section, all 76 in-service instructors were selected from 23 educational centers in Iran that work in connection with tactile books. Results: In the Delphi method in three stages and despite the low Kendall coefficient in the third round (0.565), it was concluded that finally the survey process of production and publishing experts, Delphi panel in the third round with 37 items Stop the questionnaire. Comparison of production criteria of tactile sensory books from the perspective of educational instructors to determine their approval indicates that the technical criteria of production (72%), content criteria (74%), and presentation criteria (72%) It was approved and among them, experts and educators assigned the highest amount to the content criterion with values (74%). Finally, the criteria for the production and evaluation of tactile books from the perspective of educators were largely approved (72%). Conclusion: In order to understand the most important criteria for the production of textbooks from the perspective of production and publishing experts and educators, after analyzing the components and turning them into new factors, with the help of factor analysis Exploratory and relative chi-square index and fitting confirmatory factor were presented, and a model for the production of tactile sensory books was developed and proposed.
