This paper analyzes the effect of banking regulation on competition on in Iran’sbanking system, using unbalanced panel data models for 17 banks functioning in Iran'seconomy, spanning 1996-2009.In this paper we used lerner index as a proxy for competition. For this purpose, first translog cost function of each bank were estimated and then marginal costs wereestimated. For regulation proxy, using beck et al (2008) method, we use Capitalrequirment , information disclosure of banking and some other proxy. Results showthat Capital requirment increase banking competition. information disclosure ofbanking that is proxy of monitoring, and other regulations do not any sighnificanteffect on banking competition. One of the concepts of management economics, which is a special application in the banking industry, is economies of scale. This concept refers to the change in production for the change in inputs and the benefits of lowering costs as a result of an increase in volumes of output. In this paper, Estimated economies of scale of 19 banks of the iran during the time period of 2011-16 was based on the commonly approach as well as the theory of constraints approach. The theory of constraints is one of the new theories of performance evaluation and is consistent with the cost leadership strategy with a systematic approach to the firm. Using the Translog model and Frontier4.1 software, the average economies of scale were estimated based on the intermediate approach of 1.35 (decreasing economies compared to scale) and, according to the theory of constraints, was 0.49 (increasing economies compared to scale). Paired-Samples T Test also showed a significant difference between the two approaches in SPSS software. This comparative study will be effective in increasing the managers' awareness of the effects of Throughput and creating a sustainable competitive advantage in the banking industry. This paper deals with environmental, welfare and employment effects of Carbon Tax. Carbon tax as a policy instrument, internalizes the external cost of air pollution in price of fuel. The very objective of carbon tax is not only to reduce fuel consumption and hence reduce harmful emissions made by economic agents, but also to lessen the tax burden on wage earners and reduce labor cost which in turn provides incentives for job creation. This study uses Computable General Equilibrium Model which is revenue neutral, i.e. total tax income is taken constant in the model. The model is a non- linear equation system. GAMS as a Software along with input – output table pertaining to Iranian economy is used to solve the mode. The model was calibrated to base year 1378[1].  The findings in this study indicate that the use Carbon Tax as a policy instrument to alleviate the Burdon of tax on labor income, would improve qualitavely the environmental standards and reduce the environmental concerns besides to positive impact on employment and welfare gains.   Manuscript profile

The Theory of Constraints (TOC) is one of the techniques of decision making in strategic management accounting(SMA) and theorizing of performance evaluation With a systematic approach to the firm and in line with the strategy of cost leadership, thinks with the growth strategy. The use of TOC in the explanation of Economies of Scale (ES), which are the concepts of management economics, Can lead to system thinking in the banks. The concept of ES refers to the change in the production of products for the change in inputs and the benefits of lowering costs as a result of increased volumes of output. In this research, ES of 17 banks of the country during the period of 1386-1396 was calculated based on the TOC approach. Using the Translag Model and the Frontier 4.1 Software,The average ES of the banks of the country based on the TOC were estimated 0.16.The findings of this research indicate that the banking system of the country has a scale of economies,But it does not fully exploit the potential and continues to operate below the potential capacity,Which is more severe than the Theory of Constraints. Also, according to the results of the research, there is a reverse relationship between the ratio of equity to assets and Economies of Scale of banks using the Theory of Constraints (ES-TOC); As equity increases, the amount of economies is reduced to a scale, and Considering the smaller one of its being, banks will continue to be in a position to economies on a larger scale and increase potential capacity. This paper investigates the economies of scale of higher education in Islamic Azad University. We use the long-run Translog multi product cost function and estimate, respected to the homogeneity and symmetry restrictions, to use Systematic Iterative Seemingly Unrelated Regression (ISUR). The data will be collected from 29 selected branches of Islamic Azad University during 2000-2005.Results indicate diseconomies of scale in level of undergraduate education and economies of scale in level of postgraduate education and an optimal number of students for undergraduate education is 7000 to 9000 and for postgraduate education is 800 to 1000. The main goal of this study was to investigate the way of affecting of water in production of cucumber. From aspect of econometrics, mutual relationships of production function and expenses have been analyzed in which Translog cost function has been used. This function has been estimated using the conditional input demand functions, the shefard theorem, chemical fertilizer, animal fertilizer, labour force, seed, and pesticide in the framework of a system of equations by taking advantage of the irrelevant regression method. Applied inputs is for 151 cucumber Beneficiaries in Khash in farming year of 2011-12 that insider and crossing tendency of input demand for this product has been investigated through collecting questionnaires and using obtained coefficients. The results show that the translog cost model is a good fit compared to the data of research. According to the reviews, demand for water has a minor Insider- succession tendency more than one which shows possible stretch of demand function rather than the price of the inputs. Hence, appropriate pricing policies can be used to take a positive step in preventing the extreme usage of this input and directing beneficiaries for optimum use of these inputs. Manuscript profile

The main purpose of this article is to investigate the return of scale indicators, technological changes and productivity growth rate on the cost in Shazand CityWater and Wastewater Company. For this purpose, based on repetitive seeminglyunrelated Regression, translog cost function form was used to estimate water supplycost function. Cost function parameters were estimated from seasonal time seriesdata over time period 2008 to 2018. The company used four factors of production, labor, capital, raw materials and other services in the production process. The resultsshowed that there is a diminishing return to scale and a lack of economies of scale, which means that there is no natural monopoly in the company. Technologyprogress and productivity growth indicator indicates that cost reduction as a result oftechnology progress and productivity growth over the study period. Manuscript profile

The current study attempted to investigate the mathematical sturcuture of cost function of irrigated wheat crop in Kurdistan province. The methodolgy is based on duality assumption. The sample size is 257 farmers for the agricultural year 2011-2012.data was collected byinterviewwith farmers and writing writerQuestionnaire. The multistage cluster random sampling used. The results showed that, the tarnslog cost function selected as the best model acorcding to collected data and structural assumptions such as constant return to scale, hemogenity, technological hemotetic were not statistical significant. Land allocated the most cost to itselfrecpectively. And again Allen elasticities of substitution except for labor with poison and water with fertilizer, all are subsititute. The amount of own price elasticity which is less than one, indicating inelastic demand of all input.  In case of return to scale the results showed that, there is increasing return to scale for irrigated wheat farms in the study area.
