Joseph Campbell (1904-1987) was an American mythologist who worked in the field of comparative mythology and religion. The notion of ‘hero’s journey’ was first proposed by Campbell in his book titled ‘The Hero with a Thousand Faces’. Based on the structural similarity of all myths, he proposes a fundamental patterns that underlies all mythic narratives. In spite of being subject to cultural and temporal variations, this pattern remains essentially the same. According to his theory of monomyth, the hero leaves his society following an invitation and, having embarked upon a journey, he goes through stages such as the call of the envoy, rejection of invitation, acceptance of invitation, following a guide, passing the threshold, seeking help, test, reward, elixir, and return. Osman Mokhtari’s verse book of ‘Shahriar-nameh’ is a perfect example of hero’s journey. In this story, the hero that represents the will of a nation travels to another country while successfully overcoming numerous obstacles and tests to defeat evil creatures and show the superiority of Iranian wisdom over other nations. The name of Shahriyar, “the love-ridden poet,” is tied with the Persian traditional sonnet. He was, on the one hand, a traditionalist moving in the direction of the modernism; but, on the other hand, most of the modernists believe him to be the best traditional sonneteer in contemporary Persian poetry. Love and frenzy are the essence of his sonnets. In his early youth, he fell deeply in an earthly love, but this love failure led him to a divine spiritual love. His sonnets describe this separation between him and his beloved. Besides this, he owes his reputation to his rural-social poem “Heydar Baba Salam” in which he narrates his past pleasant and unpleasant memories in a simple language. Among the modernists, Shahriyar particularly favored Nima. Though Shahriyar was in love with Hafez’s poetry, Nima’s legendary poetry introduced him into a new world. Sharing his secrets with Nima and his conversation with him full of love and kindness in his three poems “The Poet of Legend” (Shaere Afsaneh), “The Two Pheasants” (Do Morghe Beheshti), and “The Flying Pheasant” (Parvaze Morghe Beheshti) reveal how deeply these two well-known poets share their thoughts and feelings. In his “The Two Pheasants” (Do Morghe Beheshti), Shahriyar, inspired by Nima’s “The Legend” (Afsaneh), describes his meeting with him. Manuscript profile

The aim of this study is to analyze the tacit knowledge of high school English language teachers of qualitative evaluation methods (with emphasis on self-examination and portfolio usage) that its method is interpretive phenomenology. The reseach population includes selected high school English language teachers of Shahriyar in the academic year 1397-1398. This study is based on the purposeful sampling of selecting the desirable cases and until saturation eighteen teachers (7 males and 11 females) were selected in which we would continue sampling to reach cases which no new information would be obtained. The teachers were semi-structured interviewed and they were analyzed by content analysis method. The validity and reliability of the instrument were verified using reliability, portability, verifiability and reliability. The results of the study showed that they do not accept the self-examination method as a valid method for evaluation and they do not take seriously the using of the portfolio. This study showed that the tacit knowledge of high school English language teachers in qualitative evaluation methods does not form a significant amount of tacit knowledge of teachers and their confidence in qualitative evaluation is low. Many teachers use quality evaluation as an adjunct to objective evaluation and to improve the learning process, and do not see quality evaluation as a serious method of evaluation. Manuscript profile

The loss of spatial balance and inharmonious physics development across regions, especially in the metropolitans has made monitoring changes in land use and its direction in harmony with reducing the harmful effects in the long and short run became the main issues of policymakers and policy planners’ concerns. The aim of the study was to detect changing in Shahriar's land use via three methods of support  vector machine (SVM), neural network classifier (NNC) and maximum likelihood classifier (MLC) during (1987-2009) using LandSat digital images. The results showed that during a 22 years period, the urban development increased and agricultural land declined. The decline in agricultural land has been 37, 26 and 25 percent based on SVM, NNC and MLC methods, respectively. Furthermore, the result indicated that urban land has been increased 57 and 41 percent via SVM and NNC, while agriculture land has been decreased four percent based on MLC, which demonstrates the weaknesses in accounting estimates of this method. Shahriyar, though a happy poet with a host of satire and joy found in his poetry, is a human being in a more profound analysis who is sensitive and considerate but introvert and sorrowful, which cause him to think mystically and to embody the experiences gained out of the moments into poetic language. The present paper aims to explore some signs of Shahriyar's perception in his poetic allusions and try to show that it is out of his excursion through love and sorrow and music sound and pondering over mystics' thoughts that he steps into this area, and even without being aware, he gains unconventional findings under the domain of personal and collective unconsciousness. The thoughts emitting mystical odor where the subject of love persists are felt in Shahriyar's works. Therefore, it could be told that "love" is a dominating element that uplifts him into the heaven and his overall allusions are typically dependent on love. Manuscript profile

The present paper aims to explain and explore the human beings in Machiavelli's view. By studying Niccolo Machiavelli’s works, everyone realizes that man is a natural truth which should be defined by observing his behavior. Machiavelli interprets man as a contemporary biologist and this is the turning point of his view. Unlike his predecessors who described man from their own certain philosophical approaches, he considers man to be a purely material being in his direct action with society, state and destiny, regardless of Christian ethics. To Machiavelli, man and his destiny have lost their superior meanings and they make sense as a force within nature and in action with society, city, and state, so that it forms his political systematic structure. To clarify and explain political issues, including in the field of politics and the field of Eastern civilization, "Kalila-Demna" is considered one of the prominent works that the thinkers belonging to the field of Western civilization acknowledge more than the Eastern ones. The main hypothesis of this article is that Kalila-Demna, whose main theme was founded five centuries before Christ, has similarities in the field of ethics and anti-ethics with a work called "Prince" which was written two thousand years later. When we compare the two amoral characters, "Lion" and "Prince" based on Karen Horne's methodology in terms of typology, character and behavior, we find similarities between them. But even in this area of moral issues, the difference between the message that Kalila-Demna conveys to the reader and what Prince says is very significant. On the other hand, in Kalila-Demna, violating moral principles is condemned, while in Prince, the ruler is allowed to violate morals without being blamed or condemned. Manuscript profile

The rich literature of this land is bound up with history and culture, and local and native games as a part of the culture of the community have interwoven with this valuable literature which has inherited this treasure in the literary genre and it is recorded for their land. On the other hand, popular culture can be the source of great works of art and literature, just as the foundation of the largest and most enduring work of art by Muhammad Hussein Shahriar. He, because of his childhood in the pristine nature of the village of Khshenbab, has placed the local games of Azerbaijan which he had enjoyed as a child in his Turkish poetry. The present article analyzes and reviews 9 games of Azerbaijani play based on the poet's sayings by descriptive-analytical method regarding the library studies and oral research among the people. Accuracy in these exciting games created by the demands of life in nature and tribal culture shows that all of these games are tailored to be simple, group-based according to the culture of the countryside, often following the styles of simple people's lives and being influenced by nature. They did not need any special tools, or their used tools were part of the nature. Manuscript profile

The short story "The Lady of the Garden" from the book Seven Captains, written by Shahriar Mandanipour, is a patriarchal narrative about women and the society in which the story takes place. In an eerie atmosphere and inspired by Sadegh Hedayat's book The Blind Owl (Boof-e koor), the author expresses his views about his society and homeland by using symbols and mythological elements. Using descriptive analytic method and based on a mythological view, the present article tries to answer these questions: Which mythological themes and narratives did the author use for making the story better understood? Are these themes woven into the warp and woof of the story, or, are they only present in a symbolic way? In order to explain the death of beauty and the lack of progress, the lack of change and failure to achieve goals in his homeland, Mandanipour talks about the myth of the journey to the underworld, and the death of the plant god. He mentions the symbols of the agricultural – well era, flower, etc.; he believes that a demon is the reason for destruction and creates a confrontation between the goddess of agriculture and the god of the Aryans. Referring to the theme of "repetition of myths in the sacred time", the author believes that the hero always tries to make a great change and ultimately does not achieve this goal, because people do not interpret truth, beauty and change as the hero does Manuscript profile

These resources were provided through the payment of ransom and tribute from the people inside the country, or through the extortion and tribute of the princes of Iranshahri from the kings of other countries. In this regard, most of the rulers and kings of the lands and kingdoms played a significant role. In the mythology of Iran, lands such as Hamavaran, China, India, etc. were among the ransom paying countries of Iranshahris; Of course, some countries were either at war or at peace with Iranians. In any case, the powerful princes of Iran used to collect ransom and tribute from these countries and other kingdoms. In this study and research, while examining and extracting "ransoms", "tributes" and how to collect and pay tribute and the quality of its use in the construction and settlement and security of Iranshahr, it has been tried. The political relations and the behavior of the princes of Iranshahr in taking taxes (extortion and tribute) in peacetime or during war in dealing with the rulers and kings of different countries and kingdoms of the world and the people of Iranshahr should be evaluated. Abstract         Biographies and history books agree about the prosperity of Maghbarat-Al-Shoara until the 10th century, but have not agreed on the history of its destruction. In the second half of the tenth century, Hafez Hussein  Karbalaee  announced in the Rozatol Janan that the tomb was destroyed, while in the early eleventh century, Mulla Hashri speaks of the clarity of the tomb of poets like Khaghani and Assadi in it, and the most recent sources such as the Avladol At'har and the history of the Darol Saltaneh of Tabriz, from here, are considered as an extinct cemetery. This article, by content analysis, critiques available, comments about the destruction of the Maghbarat al Shoara, while introducing a new documents, proves that the writing of the Rozatol At'har about the destruction of the tomb is accurate and original in the eleventh century. This paper, also, after introducing the poets who certainly have been buried there, shows that Asyroddin Akhsiketi and Nayyer Tabrizi have not been buried there for sure and the burial of Anvari and Falaki Shervani in this place in uncertain. These words and expressions were changed linguistically as the awakening period was over and we entered the outstanding historical periods of First and Second Pahlavi dynasty era. The major question in the present research done using documentation and a library study method is that how French words and expressions have changed in poems composed by Shahryar? The results of the present study showed that many of French words and expressions were fixed and accepted and then utilized in Persian language and culture from the very start of its entrance into the language, some faded away and were marginalized, some were extinct and no more were in use, still others encountered phonological changed. There were also some others changed in tone due to the necessities felt in poetry weights and finally some were appropriated to certain specific fields of study. There were a few words which were used in the same written and conceptual formats both in Persian and French. Some words and expressions were delimited and developed regarding novel conceptual uses and some of words and expressions were trivially changed in Persian language and were made to sound better and more understandable in poems composed by Shahryar. Archetypal criticism is one of the remarkable approaches in literary criticism which deals with variety of archetypes in literary texts.  Shahriar -nameh is counted among heroic epic texts after Shahnameh and deals with the destiny of Shahriar the son of Borzu.  After close inspection of this work, outstanding archetypes are drawn out and analyzed according to Jung’s theory.  In this epic the hero in order to attain individuality has to overcome obstacles.  At first he fights his own shadow and starts a challenging journey.  Along the way a wise man accompanies him to guide him through the dangerous path.  Demonic forces such as demons and dragons which are the manifestations of shadow appear on the path  whom Shahriar fights. Also he passes successfully from the haunting and fantastic places.  Next, he encounters a beautiful enchanting mistress and a witch, manifestations of his own anima in the epic with whom he struggles.  Sistan is regarded as the representative of stream consciousness from where Shahriar’s journey begins, then after experiencing individuality and perfection in the land of unconsciousness (India) he finally returns to his own family regaining his consciousness and in this way completes the loop of individuality connecting its end to the beginning.
