Normative and psychometric properties of the Technological Leadership Scale in Banks

Abstract :

The aim of the present study was to investigate the validity, reliability and factor structure of the Technological Leadership Questionnaire in Banks. The statistical population of this study included 620 employees (35 bank branches) of all branches of Saderat Bank Urmia in 1403, of whom 240 were selected using multi-stage cluster sampling. The digital leadership questionnaire of Al-Naimi (2022) was used to calculate convergent and divergent validity. The construct validity was examined through confirmatory factor analysis. Reliability was assessed using the Cronbach's alpha method and retesting and data analysis were performed with SPSS version 25 and LISREL version 8.8 software. The results of confirmatory factor analysis confirmed 2 innovative and supportive factors, as in the original form. Also, Cronbach's alpha coefficient for the entire scale was 0.86, and for the innovative and supportive subscales, Cronbach's alpha coefficient was 0.83 and 0.80, respectively. In addition, the test-retest coefficient with a four-week interval was 0.80 for the entire questionnaire, and 0.77 and 0.84 for the subscales of administrative aspects, educational aspects, image, access, programs offered, and physical facilities, respectively. Also, the correlation coefficients indicated the favorable convergent and diagnostic validity of the questionnaire (P<0.001). According to the results obtained, it can be said that the technological leadership questionnaire is a reliable and valid tool for measuring technological leadership in banks.
