The aim of the present article is study two famous authors' works - Sadegh Hedayat and Haruki Murakami from ontological point of view (death and life); the emphasis of the author of the article is on two works: "The Blind Owl" and’ Kafka on the Shore’ in order to find the similarities and differences in both works. The method is documental, librarian and note taking. Initially some notes were taken on thinking elements and then have been analyzed. The analyses show that both authors have more similarities rather than differences. Both views are close to existentialism because both know life mortal and finite. The atmosphere of their work is death, loneliness, hatred and pessimism. Both authors' works are in surrealism method.
