Drivers affecting the socialization of faculty members of Islamic Azad University

Abstract :
Since universities try to develop compatibility between faculty members and the university, organizational socialization plays an essential role in this. The present study was carried out with the aim of identifying the drivers influencing the socialization of faculty members of Islamic Azad University. The research method is qualitative. The statistical population of this research consists of experts and experienced university professors, whose number is 12 in the qualitative section. The interpretive structural modeling technique was used to design the model and identify the components of the socialization drivers of faculty members. After extracting the drivers in the qualitative part, the structural-interpretive model was implemented in the quantitative part with the participation of 10 academic experts. In order to collect information, library studies and semi-structured interviews have been done. Content validity was confirmed by supervisors. Based on the designed model, interaction opportunities, social networks and support were placed in the first level of the designed model. Direction makers and mentoring relationships were placed in the second level of the model. Also, based on the power of influence-power of dependence diagram, the component of social networks was placed in the dependent area, the components of support and interaction opportunities were placed in the linked area, and the components of direction makers and coaching were placed in the independent area.
