One of the most important methods of soil compaction is dynamic compaction, which is one of the oldest and economical methods of soil improvement up to great depths. This method is applied due to its many benefits, including its economic procedure to correct many kinds of soil. One of the most important issues that affect soil improvement methods is being economic. The three main methods of using piles, chemical modification, use of Menard density and vibrating tools are used for soil compaction at the time of presentation of an improvement project. The Menard method due to its much lower cost is more widely used than other methods. Considering the importance of the economy factor in the country's development projects, the need for 3D simulation and the ability of ABAQUS software to deliver the results of this research to a numerical model that can be used in civil engineering projects is becoming more important. The purpose of this paper was to evaluate the numerical modeling of dynamic compaction using finite element method and using ABAQUS software to improve the foundation by changing to height and weight of the compactor through Menard method for three cities of Ahvaz, Abadan, and Mahshahr. The results showed that the increase in the height of the fall resulted in an increase in the depth of the impact for all three categories with different weights of compactor. In addition, the depth difference was less affected in the high weights, which shows that the only weight increase of the compactor cannot be a factor in increasing the effect of soil compaction. Bridges are one the most important and useful river structure and as a key of Communication ways are very significant. Local Scouring is one the most reason of Instability of bridges and finally its failure annually immense human and financial cost to the government imposes. So far, several studies on ways to control and reduce scouring around piers of the bridges has been done among them, the slot is at the base of the bridge. The purpose of this study is experimental investigation of maximum change of scouring over to time. For this purpose, two slot with Triangular and inverse triangular with same area and two levels of location, 1.5 and 3 cm over the bed at two discharges 25.6 and 32 lit/s on sediment with 0.5 mm diameter are investigated. The results of this study show that, at all of the cases slot caused reduce the local scouring and reduced the maximum volume hole scouring also the maximum scouring depth and volume of scouring hole with level of location to bed and Froude number and time has direct relationship. Waves are main characteristics of seas that produce by wind. Importance of the study of waves and recognizing the wave climate in the coastal zone management that the waves are the most important influence on the design and implementation of all projects. Wave are main boundary condition in dynamic loading and structural calculations and hydraulic coastal structures. Height of waves are the most important wave parameters can be affected by various factors change. In present study evaluate changes of this parameters in return periods 2, 5,10,25,50 and 100 years based on statically distribution and bed roughness coefficient. In order to study use mike21 study. The result showed that bed roughness has important significant effects on the reduction or increase of the wave’s height. The analysis was performed according to the return period for the design show that 50 and 100 years. In this return periods have different prior and subsequent periods have been even more. The results also show coefficients of each wave changes substrate design 2-year-old to 200 years old in about 7 to 10 cm. Manuscript profile

Use the Spur dike as one of the easiest ways to protect the costal of the river has always been of interest to River engineers. The aim of this study was numerical investigate, the effect of distance and angle of the spur dikes parameters on the pattern of distribution of average velocity and the location of maximum velocity position at a mild 90 degree bend. For this purpose used ANSYS CFX software for numerical simulation of flow pattern and for calibration of mentioned model used result of Experimental data 3D- velocity data at Bakhtiari et al (2013) research. Variables of this study were 2 length of spur dike equivalent 15 and 25 percent of width of canal, 3 distance equivalent 3,5 and 7 times to spur dike length, 2 angle include of vertical and absorbed spur dike at 3cm to bed which investigated at a flume with R/B=4, width 0.7m and water depth 0.12m. The result of model verification shows good correspondence between the results of numerical models and laboratory. The result show that with increasing the distance between spur dike, the velocities increased too and also caused the increasing the velocity about 75 cm/s on the head of spur dikes. Also the result show that by positioning the absorbent spur dikes the maximum of velocity divert to external bend Therefore, the most destructive is the case for the breakwater. Manuscript profile
