چکیده مقاله :

This study aimed to analyze the English translation of Sepehri’s Eight Books by Bahiyeh AfnanShahid (2013) based on Jakobson’s (2013) model. To achieve the stated objectives of the presentstudy, a corpus-based and comparative design was utilized. The corpus of this study consisted of atotal of 100 hemistiches which were randomly selected from the following poems: The Passenger,The Death of Color, The Life of Dreams, Downpour of Sunshine, East of Sorrow, The Wayfarer, andThe Green Space. To collect the data, first, the researchers found the available version of Sepehri’sEight Books along with its English translation by Bahiyeh Afnan Shahid (2013). Then, they read themthoroughly to get familiar with their content, sense, themes and structures. Next, the translation strategies used in translating the poems were identified based on Jakobson’s (2013) model. To analyze thecollected data qualitatively, the content of the corpus was qualitatively analyzed by the raters to identifythe translation strategies used to translate the hemistiches into English. The quantitative data analysisincluded calculating the frequencies and percentages of the identified translation types and translationstrategies to recognize the most and the least frequent translation types and strategies used in translations;it was finally shown that literal translation, form transposition, content transposition, paraphrase,omission, addition, and idiomatic translation strategies were used in the Persian to English translationof Eight Books of Sepehri. Besides, the most frequent translation type used in the Persian to Englishtranslation of Eight Books of Sepehri was interlingual translation. And the least translation types usedin the Persian to English translation of Eight Books of Sepehri were intralingual translation andinter-semiotic translation.

چکیده انگلیسی:

این پژوهش با هدف تجزیه و تحلیل ترجمه انگلیسی هشت کتاب سپهراب سپهری توسط بهیه افنان شهید(2013) بر اسال مدل یاکوبسون(2013) انجام شد. برای بدست آوردن اهداف بیان شده پژوهش حاضر ، یک طرح پیکره محور و تطبیقی مورد استفاده قرار گرفت. مجموعه این پژوهش ، شامل 100 مصرع میباشد که به طور تصادفی از میان اشعار زیر انتخاب شد: مسافر ، مرگ رنگ،زندگی خواب ها، ما هیچ ما نگاه،آوار آفتاب ،شرق اندوه ، صدای پای آب و حجم سبز . برای جمع آوری داده ها در ابتدا، محقق نسخه موجود ترجمه هشت کتاب سهراب سپهری به انگلیسی توسط بهیه افنان شهید (2013) را یافت. سپس ، آنها را به طور کامل خواند تا با محتوا ، حس ،مضامین و ساختار آنها آشنا شود. سپس استراتژی های ترجمه مورد استفاده در ترجمه اشعار بر اساس مدل یاکوبسون(2013) مشخص شد. برای تجزیه و تحلیل کیفی داده های جمع آوری شده ،محتوای متن به صورت کیفی توسط ارزیابان برای شناسایی استراتژی های مورد استفاده در ترجمه مصرع ها به انگلیسی ، مورد تجزیه و تحلیل قرار گرفت. تجزیه و تحلیل داده های کمی شامل محاسبه فراوانی و درصد انواع ترجمه و استراتژی های ترجمه شناسایی شده برای تشخیص بیشترین و کم‌تکرارترین انواع ترجمه و استراتژی‌های ترجمه مورد استفاده در ترجمه‌ها بود. در نهایت، مشخص شد که ترجمه تحت اللفظی، جابجایی فرم، جابجایی محتوا ، تفسیر ،حذف ، اضافه و ترجمه اصطلاحی ،استراتژی های مورد استفاده در ترجمه فارسی به انگلیسی هشت کتاب سپهری بود. علاوه بر این ، ترجمه بین زبانی ، متداول ترین نوع ترجمه مورد استفاده در ترجمه فارسی به انگلیسی هشت کتاب سهراب سپهری بود . و ترجمه درون زبانی و میان نشانه ای ،کم ترین نوع ترجمه مورد استفاده در ترجمه فارسی به انگلیسی هشت کتاب سپهری بود.
