Abstract   The research studies the efficiency of the individual method of guided imagery on the amount to anxiety and hope for life in women suffering from breast cancer at Radiotherapy Ward of Cancer Institute of Emam Khomeini Tehran Hospital. To conduct this research, first patients were selected voluntarily and were randomly put into groups ( control and experiments.) At this stage, people who were remarkably different from the others based on demographic information were deleted and the volume of the sample reached . Then, the degree of anxiety and hope for life in patients was evaluated once before and once after implementing the guided Imagery method (positive and direct willful suggestions about disease-control and recovering health) by HERTH hope index and SPIELBERGER anxiety inventory. But the difference here is that no interference was made in control group, whereas one of the experiment groups was traineds in sessions and the other in sessions. Finally, to analyze the data, the average calculation, criteria deviation and one-way variance analysis and Sheffe follow-up test. The results indicated that the individual guided imagery method is very useful in reducing state anxiety, total anxiety and also increased hope for life in women suffering from breast cancer (p= ). Moreover, it was found that hope for life is greater in persons who have used guided Imagery method for sessions than in the persons who used these classes for sessions (p= ). But there was no difference between these two groups from the viewpoint of the level of state anxiety (p= ) and total anxiety (p= ). Manuscript profile

Abstract   Premenstrual syndrome exists when women complain of regularly recurring psychological symptoms as irritability, anxiety, tension, aggression or somatic symptoms as bloating, weight gain, nostalgia, or both which occur specifically during the luteal phase of the menstrual cycle. Symptoms can be severe enough to disrupt everyday life. The etiology of the PMS has not been confirmed yet. However, to relieve the Symptoms, a variety of treatment methods focusing on safe exercise are recommended. The aim of this study was to compare the effects of running and walking exercises for weeks on premenstrual in high school non-athlete girl students in Ahwaz city. The subjects were grouped randomly to three consisting of "running group" (n= ) "walking group" (n= ) and "control group" (n= ). Having finished the reexamining stage, filling the premenstrual syndrome questionnaire and gaining the primary results, the running group did aerobic running for weeks and sessions each week, each session lasting min. The maximum heart rate was percent. The walking group for weeks walked min each day for sessions in each week at normal, fast and slow paces. The control group did not do exercises. Having finished the second stage, the examinees filled the premenstrual syndrome questionnaire after weeks for the second time and after weeks for the third time. To analyze the data used for ANOVA and Tukey test at the level of . The results showed, there was a great decrease in the physical and mental symptoms of PMS of the walking group and only in the physical symptoms they were the same for the running group. Comparing the results of the running group with those of the walking group and control group there was a great decrease in the physical symptoms of PMS. It was walking group for which there was a great decrease in symptoms when compared with the running group. Thus, we can say that the decrease in the physical symptoms of PMS for the running group was greater than that for other groups. Manuscript profile

Abstract The purpose of this research was investigating relationship between just world beliefs with general health, life satisfaction, positive and negative affect and automatic thoughts. In this regard, from statistical population (total of males and females habitants in Isfahan) persons for answer to the research questionnaires randomly selected with using multi-stage sampling. Five questionnaires used in this research: general health (with four subscales), life satisfaction, positive and negative affect, automatic thoughts and just world beliefs for self and others. The data analyzed with using Pearson's correlation coefficient and enter and stepwise regression analysis. The results showed that, there is negative significant correlation between general health subscales and life satisfaction with just world beliefs for self and others (P < ). The another section of results showed that there is negative significant correlation between positive affect with just world beliefs for self and others but positive significant correlation between negative affect and just world beliefs for self and other ( P < ). Also automatic thoughts have positive significant correlation with just world beliefs for self and others (P < ). The results of enter regression analysis showed that from total of research variables, only life satisfaction have predictive power for prediction of just world beliefs for self and others. Also stepwise regression analysis showed that from total of research variables, only life satisfaction and depression have predictive power for prediction of just world beliefs for self and others.
