This paper presents a new step-down resonant dc-dc converter derived from the family of Switched-Resonator converters (SwRC). Soft-switching conditions are provided for both switches at turn on and turn off transitions by switching under zero-current (ZCS). ZCS technique switching losses and enables the converter to operate at higher switching frequencies which enhances the converter power density. Moreover, it gives better efficiency with few element count and decrease the implementation cost. Due to the turning-off of the resonant diode under ZCS condition, the problem of reverse recovery which is a problematic issue especially in fast diodes is obviated. By employing a simple LC resonant network, soft-switching condition is provided for all the semi-conductor devices. The circuit is simulated by PSpice software and the results are presented. Experimental results from a laboratory prototype are also presented. Simulation and practical results confirm integrity of the presented theoretical analysis and show the full-load efficiency at 92.32%. Manuscript profile

The use of distributed energy resources in power grids and in particular in the distribution system has gained noticeable popularity and growth in recent years. Given the increasing use of solar energy resources in low voltage grids, an appropriate strategy to coordinate and control these resources is necessary in order to reduce annual grid energy losses and improve grid voltage profiles. In this paper, the optimization and coordination of local photovoltaic resources in a four-wire unbalanced low voltage distribution network is proposed and investigated for a given time horizon. The simulation is performed on a part of Shiraz low voltage network. Two scenarios are investigated: in the first scenario balanced output of three phase energy resources which are dispersed and uncontrolled, is considered. In the second scenario a situation is analyzed in which the output levels of these resources are unbalanced. The effect of these two scenarios on the annual energy losses of the network in question is thoroughly examined and discussed Manuscript profile

In this paper, the compensation controller approach is investigated for uncertain nonlinear multi agent systems. The dynamics of each of the agents includes uncertainties. Meanwhile, the exchange of the information between the agents is done under directed and fixed graphs. In this design, nonlinear control method is used to design nonlinear backstepping controller. The systems uncertainties are approximated by using the adaptive control method. To overcome the unpredictable effects of faults occurrence in the considered system actuators, Defective adaptive compensation method is used without any knowing about the fault time, fault type and fault structure. Finally, with the introduction of the new Lyapunov functions and by using the graph theory, the stability of the closed loop system is proved. By presenting a simulated example, the efficiency of the control view presented for nonlinear multi agent systems is shown in the presence of unknown faults in actuators and unknown external disturbances. Multi-target tracking is considered to be a significant issue in various areas of monitoring, supervision, and updated communication services. It is a logical, generalized, single-target tracking problem. Therefore, it is of paramount importance to apply filters to measure the direction or relative distance of the target from the viewer. Not showing the position of the sensor is the functional advantage of such sensors. One of the main issues in tracking is the dependence of estimation accuracy on the moving path of the viewer when the sensor only measures the direction of the target. With this background in mind, it is essential to estimate the position of the target. The present study aimed to determine the optimal path of the viewer in the tracking of two moving targets in order to improve the tracking performance. Target tracking was performed by a viewer only by measuring the direction of the target toward the viewer. Initially, the viewer path was introduced as a mathematical profile, and its coefficients were determined using an optimization algorithm, which demonstrated the lowest error rate in target tracking using the Kalman filter as an optimal estimator. Afterwards, another path was introduced, which was developed based on the estimates obtained by two Kalman filters, followed by the unscented Kalman filter. At the final stage, the most efficient method to continue the desired viewer path was proposed based on the comparison of the two methods, and the results of the optimization path were obtained using a multi-objective genetic algorithm. A triple-buck converter with zero voltage transient is presented in this paper. The proposed structure is formed by three parallel buck converter to increase the reliability which is utilized three interleaved inductors for connecting the stages to reduce the losses caused by hard switching. The zero voltage transistor is also performed by resonance between the parasitic capacitance of the power switches and the equivalent inductor seen from each capacitor. The proposed circuit analysis has been performed in different operating modes. The proposed Buck converter is simulated in the Matlab/Simulink environment. The simulation results prove that the switching losses as well as the loss of diodes can be reduced by zero voltage switching of the power switches and designed high-performance converter. The simulation results show that the output reaches its final value of 40 V after 0.6 ms and the output voltage variations is 0.5 V the output ripple is achieved 1.25%. Manuscript profile

The current demand in the power system has led to increased usage of the Distributed Generation (DG) and renewable resources. The renewable resources can efficiently supply the loads in the micro grids. The output power generation of renewable energy resources is unpredictable. Hence, in this paper the optimal generation dispatch of the DGs in micro grids in both grid-connected and islanded modes is determined. Since the operation of the micro grid in presence of DGs and various constraints is a complicated optimization problem, in this paper a meta-heuristic Cuckoo search (CS) algorithm with high convergence speed is used. In order to reduce the uncertainty of the output power of photovoltaic system the energy storage system is implemented and the optimal capacity of the storage is determined based on operation conditions. The proposed algorithm for determining the optimal capacity of the battery in a sample micro grid is applied. The results show the effectiveness of the proposed method for determining the optimal dispatch of the DGs and capacity of the energy storage system. Manuscript profile
