The present study was aimed to compare willingness to communicate among adolescents interested in different styles of computer games. The method of this study was descriptive and casual-comparative design. Statistical population included all boy adolescents and youths who referred to all of 25 Internet gaming cafés in Zahedan in 2015. Sampling method was multi-stage cluster sampling which 8 Internet gaming cafés were selected randomly among all of Internet gaming cafés and then among all of referred people to them 156 individuals were selected by using simple random sampling (sortation). McCroskey’s Willingness to Communicate Scale was used to collect data. The results of one way ANOVA indicated that there was significant differences between willingness to communicate in different groups interested in styles of computer games (extensive online team, individual and combined games) (P≤0.01). In this regard, those who were interested in extensive online team and combined games were more willing to communicate in comparison of those who were interested in individual games. Also, results released that subjects who chose both Internet gaming cafés and house as places to play were more willing to communicate compared to those who only selected their houses to play. This study aimed to investigate the effect of story animations on social development and social adjustment of 8-14 year-old educable mentally retarded students of Dezful in the 2014-15 school year. The research method was quasi-experimental and was conducted with pre-test and pre-test design with a control group. The study population included all educable mentally retarded students studying in Soodeh special school, with the numbers of 70 people. The sample consisted of 40 girl and boy educable mentally retarded students (IQ range was 60 to 74) which randomly selected and assigned to experimental and control groups. Participants also included Raven's colored test, Weiland social development scale, and children's social adjustment questionnaire. Reliability of social development and social adjustment tests was 0.75 and 0.77 respectively. Experimental group received 22 sessions of group intervention (watching electronic story books with animation) and in contrast, the control group received no intervention. Data was analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics including variance MANCOVA analysis. Comparison of the results of the post-test subjects showed that social development and social adjustment average of the experimental group compared with the control group was increased significantly. Therefore, it was concluded that story animations have a positive impact on social development and adjustment of educable mentally retarded students.   Manuscript profile

The transition of ethical values in teenagers and youths is greater than in any other period. The rapid cognitive growth in teenagers and youths causes such persons to judge moral and value issues better and encounter these issues with more complicated and finer reactions. The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between moral development, SMS addiction and dropout rates in second high school students in Behshahr city. Hence, a total of 357 students amongst all the students in first, second and third base in the second high school of Behshahr (2015-16) was selected with a cluster sampling method. In order to collect the data, the Lotfabadi moral development test, SMS addiction test and dropout questionnaire were used. The results of the analysis of the data, using analysis of variance, correlation coefficient, t independent and regression in P<0.05 level, showed that there are reverse and negative correlations between moral development, SMS addiction and dropout rates, but there is a direct and positive correlation between SMS addiction and dropout rates. It also showed that the moral development variable can be predicted by SMS addiction and dropout variables. Manuscript profile

The present study aimed to investigate the relationship between using virtual social media in mobile phone and students’ academic procrastination, feeling lonely and mental health. This study was a descriptive-correlational research. The statistical population was made up of all third year high school students of public schools in Qom who were studied in 2015-2016 academic year. Out of the total 2414 students who comprised the population of this study, 334 were selected as sample based on Krejcie and Morgan table via a simple random sampling. Following visiting the schools, the aforesaid students were given and completed four questionnaires for data collection on using mobile phone’s virtual social media (researcher made), academic procrastination, feeling lonely and general health. The validity of tools was reported via face validity, criterion validity, internal consistency, and acceptable concurrent validity, respectively. The reliability, also, was calculated through Cronbach's Alpha coefficient which were obtained 0.88, 0.92, 0.89, and 0.88, respectively. Data analysis was carried out via Pearson Correlation test, linear regression analysis, and SPSS software. The results of the study revealed that the extent of using virtual social media has a direct relationship with academic procrastination and feeling lonely, and has a negative relationship with mental health. Furthermore, the variables of academic procrastination, feeling lonely and mental health contribute to predict the extent of using mobile phone’s virtual social media.   Manuscript profile
