Walter Benjamin (1892-1940) was philosopher and cultural and literarycritic. In 1936, he wrote the essay titled "The Work of Art in the Age ofits Mechanical Reproduction". This essay has had a profound influenceon the approaches to art. His main concern was the change in thenature of the art in virtue of its technical reproducibility. Massreproducibility transformed both of the art reception and the impact ofartworks. The change in the impact of artworks on the audiences is dueto the substitution of the ritual function with exhibitional function.Benjamin believes that, which disappears in the age of mechanicalreproduction is the "aura" of the artwork. Mechanical reproduction inphotography and film has completed this process in which the auraslowly disappears. He maintains that, this new experience alters theconcept of art itself and recoils the function in favor of political andsocial behaviors; to say exactly, social function of art has changed fromritual to political one. He believed that, there is a hidden force inreproductive artwork in present age which can function againsttradition. Manuscript profile

Bibliomancy from Poems of Hafez as a unique social behavior in Iranian folklore has been publicized in different times and places demonstrating the need of man for knowing his uncertain future. Recourse to Hafez’s poems as a cultural source has played an important role in purification of man’s soul in both his individual and social life. In fact, trusting in Hafez is a cultural trait that has roots in centuries of materialistic and spiritual lives of Iranians and helps them to overcome their psychological and mental stresses. The functions of bibliomancy from Hafez’s poems include: invoking tranquility, improving personal and social mentality, reducing mental distress, and foretelling the future. The research here uses a descriptive-analytical method derived from Wilhelm Dilthey and Max Weber’s hermeneutics. Data collected from documents revealed that bibliomancy from Hafez’s poems as an example of cultural, and social function plays an effective role in humans’ interaction and provides them with a better mental health. The purpose of the present study is to compare public health and well-being of the participants in morning workout routines compared to nonactive people. Statistical population of the research consisted of the participants in morning workout stations as well as those who were not active in the city of Tehran. Using random sampling, 200 participants active in morning workout routines and 200 people who were not active were chosen as the sample of study. Standard questionnaire of public health (GHQ-28) was used to measure four microscales (physical health, anxiety and sleep disorder, social function, and depression). Validity of the questionnaire has already been assessed in more than 70 countries in the world (R=0.82 -0.92). For research hypothesis testing, Mann-Whitney U test and Spearman correlation coefficient test (p≤0.05) were used. The research results showed that physical health condition of those participating in morning workout routines (M=2.8±2.2) outperforms those who are nonactive (M=5.3±3.6) and they have less anxiety and sleep disorder (M=3.4±2.3) than those who are not active (M=8.6±3.7). Social function condition of those participating in morning workout routines ((M=3.3±2.9) was better than nonactive people (M=6.3±3); depression condition of those participating in morning workout routines (M=1.5±1.2) was also less than those who were nonactive (M=5.4±3.3) and all these results were meaningful at P≤0.01. There was a significant relation between public health and well-being of those participating in morning workout and the time duration of their exercise (r=0.64). Therefore, it can be said that the public health condition (all indices) of those who are active in morning workout routines is better than that of nonactive people and whatever the time duration of exercising increases, there is a more chance of people’s public health and well-being. AbstractIn addition to enabling the relationship between city dwellers and nature, urban parks enhance social interactions, and even affect the social functions of adjacent public spaces. Factors affecting the social functions of urban parks can be divided into two categories; internal features such as the size, facilities and physical characteristics of the park; and external features, i.e. the park's relationship with the surrounding public spaces. This article examines the two Tonekabon urban parks, which are markedly different in terms of these characteristics, to explain how these distinctive features affect their social functioning. This is a descriptive study and data collection was done by survey and field observation. The statistical sample includes 400 park users, which are selected exclusively from the residents of this city, and Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, t-test, correlation and regression were used to analyze quantitative data. According to the findings, the higher the relationship between parks and activities in the surrounding public spaces, the higher their security and vitality. In the Javan Park, the effect of the interrelationships of the parks with the surrounding activities and public spaces on user satisfaction, and in the Madar Park, the effect of physical quality and facilities on user satisfaction is higher. Although the social functions of urban parks are influenced by various physical factors and characteristics, but parks are integral part of public spaces and activities in it, and even the effectiveness of these factors and characteristics is more influenced by the specific spatial-social context in which the functions of the park are performed.
