Every year, many people are killed and wounded due to traffic accidents on the roads of Iran and lot of families suffer from physical, mental and financial problems. Today, the problem of traffic accidents has become an important issue in Iran but all provinces are not same condition in this issue. Transport authorities and experts tend to know position of each state based on different criteria. They should know that which province has the good condition and which one are in the worst position because for more exact planning, this issue has some influences on their decisions. In this paper, provinces based on various criteria, equipment related to intelligent transportation systems, are ranked. This method indicates that the numbers of dead and injured are not appropriate criteria for ranking of states and different criteria must be considered. This priority is performed by using of Analytical Hierarchy process (AHP). Based on the obtained results, the most important indicators for assessing Iranian provinces to improve road safety are a number of relief bases, type of damage, intelligent transportation equipment and road traffic rate. Extracting the results was done using Expert Choice software. Manuscript profile

Rivers are discussed as sources of water supply for various uses. Thus, monitoring the quality of these resources due to the recent drought and urban and rural development is one of the important tasks in the field of environmental management. Karoon River has very importance in preparing drinking water, maintaining the industrial survival of Khuzestan province and agricultural water supply. Thus, management and control of water quality this resource has particular significance. In the present study, the Karoon water quality has been evaluated by available NSF water quality index. Subsequently, the nine present NSF parameters’ weights have been changed and modified using the analytical hierarchy process (AHP) method as well as experts’ opinions in the field in a way to satisfy local conditions. In the newly developed WQI, more weights are given to relation with these parameters it can be said that the factors like dissolved oxygen (Do), fecal coliform (F.c) and biological oxygen demand (BOD) when compared with NSF-WQI. The method used in this study is deserving for its merits. Because it provides managers with the capability that can have the better and more accurate   judgments about the final weights of the parameters. Using the present method, one can consider all purposes and objectives defined in water quality projects by taking into account experts’ opinions regarding the essential costs and economical, social and technical remarks. In this respect, the sensitivity of   analyses can be changed and modified in relation to the spatial features. In other words, applying AHP method, confines the NSF utilization to a specific water quality project with the particular conditions.   Manuscript profile

In today's competitive world the organizations can survive in the existing disordered conditions which utilize the best out of their resources. One of the major resources of an organization is human resources. Considered as a crucial process in almost all organizations, organizations need to evaluate their performance and manpower performance measurement to eliminate and compensate defects, increase the productivity and efficiency and to discover the capability of the human resources. So, this research has studied ways to evaluate the performance of national Iranian oil products distribution company staff in Ahwaz region by Analytical Hierarchy Process Method. According to the scientific resources under consideration and also the desired factors in this organization, the principal criteria and sub-criteria have been detected. Then, the pair comparisons of the criteria and sub-criteria were designed and were handed out to 10 evaluation managers. First, the incompatibility of each of the filled pair comparison tables by the evaluators was examined. Then, the weight of each of the main criteria and sub-criteria and the new system of personnel performance evaluation was designed by using the Group AHP and Expert choice software. Some assumptions were presented and a questionnaire was given to 79 personals and managers to analyze the superiority of our novel method over the existing method in the company. Since the questionnaire was prepared by suggestions from experts and also the calculated Cronbach’s Alpha as 0.94, it’s validation and the robustness was accepted. Also, according to the analysis of the dataset and using the statistical methods, the advantage of this method over the former method is deliberated.     Manuscript profile

A vast country with a mean solar irradiance of 4.5 kilowatts per square meter, Iran enjoys very high potentials for establishment and utilization of solar systems and, in particular, production of electrical energy from solar power stations. The present study was conducted for Optimal Solar Power Station Site Selection Using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) in Iran, and the Expert Choice software. AHP is one of the most widespread multi-criteria decision-making tools. The research considered criteria and sub-criteria such as the amount of radiation, number of sunny days, mean temperature, air humidity, precipitation, amount of dust and pollution, and cloudiness factor. For obtaining the optimal location using the AHP method, implemented in Expert Choice, pairwise comparison is made between the sets for weighting after the hierarchical levels, including the goal, criteria, sub-criteria, and alternatives (intended locations), are specified. As the sets are weighted, the compatibility of judgments is analyzed, which must be less than 0.1. The capitals of the provinces of Iran were considered in the research. From among the thirty-one locations in the examined region, the city of Zahedan was selected as the best location for establishment of solar power stations, and the other alternatives were assigned the next priorities given their weights. Moreover, sensitivity analysis was made on the major criteria, and the impact of parameter weight on the alternatives was assessed. Manuscript profile

7 - Explaining the impacts of the rational development of the city on the realization of a slow city (a case study of Qazvin city)

Nowadays, aimless and hasty urban development is emerging. The issue of slow city and rational development has been proposed to improve the conditions. The slow movement of cities in 1986 was created in the world as a cultural movement to enhance the quality of life and reduce the speed in cities. This movement first started with the idea of slow food and protests against the McDonald's food chain in the world, especially in Italy. It gradually made its way to other parts of urban development. The slow city is trying to make the city slow. Rationality is an ideological orientation for city planners. In other words, rationality is a principled option to achieve an efficient compromise in difficult situations. Since a slow city emphasizes humanistic urban development, increasing vitality, paying attention to culture, local history, and planned urban development, it can have a close association with the rational development of the city. The components of a slow city, which include improving the quality of life, paying attention to infrastructure, improving environmental conditions, improving the urban texture, developing local products, and awareness, lead to the rational development of the city. It is followed by comfort, relaxation, and facilities for the citizens. Some of the significant and basic symbols of rational urban development are reviving the texture, paying attention to the infrastructure, and improving the quality of life and urban services. It can be concluded that the model of rational urban development and the issue of the slow city complement each other and are related to each other. We are living in the age of speed and the basis of the rational development of the city with emphasis on the components of the slow city is not based on not being left behind by speed and progress but the goal is to be careful in this situation to prevent deprived comfort and peace in life. The necessity and significance of investigating the slow city and rational urban development: improving the quality of life, and building a better life for all citizens in a lively urban environment, providing a suitable model with the original form of the city in line with improving the existing situation and revitalizing the texture, providing optimal facilities, creating peace, and reducing stress In other words, the goal of explaining the impacts of rational development on the realization of a slow city is to achieve an ideal city away from stress and tension. The question of this project is what are the effective solutions for the realization of a slow city concerning rational development in Qazvin city? This article was an attempt to investigate the problems of Qazvin city considering the issue of planned development and its impact on the realization of a slow city. The principles of this article are applied and its method is a descriptive analysis. It was conducted qualitatively and quantitatively. Questionnaires were completed by 10 experts in this field to measure the importance of each of the components. Then, the criteria were calculated by Expert Choice software. In this regard, based on the analyses performed, the quality of life standard with a mean weight of 0.200 was ranked first, environmental quality with a mean weight of 0.167 was ranked second, and diversity with a mean weight of 0.122 was ranked third. The results showed that Qazvin city is surrounded by the traditional garden from three fronts, and problems such as the intersection of worn-out texture with historical texture and population density have significantly limited the development of the dimensions of Qazvin city. For this reason, the burden of urban development in Qazvin province has been shifted to the north side of the city. However, due to the lack of some infrastructure facilities, favorable city atmosphere, vitality, land uses appropriate to the scope, accessibility, inefficient texture, purposeful, and rational development of the city have not been fully realized. In this regard, it is necessary to consider all dimensions to realize a rational development and a slow city in Qazvin. Given the limitations of each region, solutions such as giving identity, supply, and distribution of services and land use, trust building, modification of the texture structure, protection of gardens, and introducing the traditions and culture of the city should be presented.
