Fictional allegory in literary terminology refers to an extended narrative that has multiple layers of other esoteric meanings behind the apparent meaning, that Each of these layers of meaning needs to be discovered, studied and recognized. Anything that is considered the center of gravity in this way of decoding and plays a major role in discovering and interpreting the mysteries and hidden images in the anecdotes is the analysis of one of the important elements of storytelling, namely the characterization in these anecdotes. The use of symbolic confrontational characters is one of the important types of these characters that play a significant role in the allegorical anecdotes of Persian literature to induce secondary meanings that arise in the context of cultural, religious, social, historical, etc. Investigating and analyzing the symbolic role of confrontational allegorical characters in the form of three types of single, double and triple confrontation and discovering the hidden relationships of these characters with other narrative elements and matching them throughout the story with the main theme of the story can lead to the discovery of secondary meanings. And new anecdotes for the audience. Sign-semantic is a new method in literary criticism that has never claimed to be an alternative to other approaches to literary criticism, but seeks to open new windows in meaning that are different from cognitive and superficial perceptions. This method challenges the depth and connection of words, and leads us to new and dynamic concepts. This research intends, by descriptive-analytical method; The anecdote (parrot and merchant) examines one of the most valuable mystical and allegorical anecdotes of the first book of Masnavi from the point of view of semantics, in order to explain the means of explaining the meaning and the conditions of the actor crossing limited structural boundaries and reaching the transcendental and aesthetic meaning. The active-shushi parrot rises so high in the ranks beyond an ordinary chicken that by distancing itself from the material, it becomes a living and guiding hen and transcends in the direction of divine unity, and the active trader is transformed in the face of deep emotional tension. The theory of intertextuality is one of the major discoveries of the twentieth century that investigates the network connection between the texts, and so far has proceeded the new approaches in human science and specially literature and art through various methods by many researchers. In Geocriticism of Bertrand Westphal in the Post-structuralism period, as one of the important approaches of this pervasive knowledge, intertextuality deals with the importance of space, place and geography in literary-artistic works. Until now, the role of geography hasn't grown to such an extent in the formation of knowledge. Sann'y-al-Molk's Qajar Manuscript of Thousand and One Nights in Golestan palace is considered as one of the unique illustrated versions in the world which has a special intertextual position in pre-text conversations and images. This version is also in interaction with theoretical and methodological principles of Bertrand Westphal that has an important irony and interdisciplinary position in geocriticism. By considering this approach and selecting seven interwoven tales of "the porter with girls" which have been portrayed with fifteen images of pictorial narratives of Sann'y al-Molk in the mentioned version, as well as analyzing the position of intertextuality in different periods of its emergence, the present article analyses this literary-artistic work in the field of geocriticism of Westphal. Writers have paid attention to the analytical-descriptive approach and its application in analyzing the text and the figures. Qajar's Manuscript of Thousand and One Nights of Sann'y al-Molk is a polyphonic work with a human-cultural boundless geography which has been talking to us with the two layers of text and figure. In so many of his poems which consist of allegorical exemplum, the vehicles of vast detailed simile structures are affairs such as: poverty, loneliness, honour, oppression, and the valuable culture of Iran, while the tenors are allegorical exemplum, with different subjects, settings, and characters. In terms of deep structure, Bustan's tales, especially allegorical ones have a direct relationship with reflective aesthetics. Thus, this research attempted to analyze the author's reflective aesthetics, which gives depth and effectiveness to the work, based on the theories of prominent structuralists such as Todorov and Propp, examining the intellectual coherence and complexity of Bustan's tales through its structure and given Todorov and Propp's theories, and looking at the author's reflective aesthetics through the structure. Accordingly and taking such an approach, the current research was carried out based on the aesthetics and effectiveness of the work given the strong relationships between its elements, with the relationships between the elements of the works being stronger and more in agreement with Todorov-Propp theory, the effect of tales and transferring cultural elements from one generation to another, from an aesthetic perspective, through allegorical tales seeming to be more feasible and stronger.                Along with other story elements such as space-making, narrator, plot, character, etc., the tone is one of the most important and artistic ways to strike a relationship between the story and its audience. Inasmuch as this element speaks of the specific atmosphere and behavioral aspects on the basis of which the text should be read and comprehended, it is so important that not knowing it well may mislead the audience in understanding the text and forming relations between different components of the story and make the correct understanding of the text and its ideas difficult.  But what is the tone? What are the types? How important is this element? How much can it influence the enjoyment from a work? The present article studies the 24 tones in Chaharmaghaleh in order to see whether there can be a proportion between the number and the types of tones in every chapter of the book. Manuscript profile

Abd al-LatifAbbasi, the greatest exegete of Hadiqa, considers Mathnavi to be an exegesis of Hadiqa. The present article follows a structural approach to analyse the structure of the parables and their function in the overall structure of Hadiqa. The study of 119 parables suggested that these parables are dialogic and have a simple, minimalist structure. They have afew, yet various, characters. The point of view and the narrator are also various. Each parable has a tripartite structure: introduction, body, and conclusion. Marzbannameh has played an important role in the history of Iranian civilization and Islamic societies. This book focuses on human and community attitudes in traditional society. Most of Marzbannameh's stories are allegorical and animalistic. The main reason for using animal characters is probably political and social content. Borderline stories illustrate the function of power in societies. By analyzing the anecdote, one can examine the structure of political culture and its impact on individual and social behaviors. The prevailing political culture in society is related to human relations. In this anecdote, the allegorical characters are the successor characters, that is, the animal is the successor to the thinking, the mood, and the intended concepts of the author and narrator. In this study, the lion, as a symbol of power, is at the top of the pyramid of power, and the force that causes the lion to occupy such a position is his power, power, and dominance over others. The ruler or ruler in the hierarchy of power must delegate duties and responsibilities to persons who have the competence, competence, and ability to perform those tasks, and are not disruptive of order and security as they enter the lion's court. From the educational point of view, we can also mention the losses of the oppression and the consequence of the oppressors of the oppressors of the foregoing and the impatient extremists who seek to preserve their lives, their political position and their status. Didactic or moral stories in Sa’di’s Boostan, like many other episodic stories in Persian texts, play a facilitating role in understanding the poet's mystical, social, and artistic ideas. In the Sa’di’s Boostan, there is a story titled “Tadbir” (plan) in the delay of politics. In this story, we see a model that is consistent with the model proposed by Tzvetan Todorov for story analysis, and the result can be generalized to most of Boostan's stories. Todorov believes that there is a similar structure in the narratives, which include; The initial situation, the entry of the factor that disturbs the balance into the narrative, the disturbance of the balance, the attempt to establish the balance, and as a result, reaching the final stable state, which he interpreted as the transition part. In this article, which is written in an analytical research method, we intend to answer the question, based on Todorov's theory, how to solve the contradiction resulting from Sa’di’s consequentialism in the story with the external realities of society, and how the story in question can be analyzed based on Todorov's model. The result is that by creating a coherent structure in the story, Sa’di was able to accept his ideas and opinions to the reader despite the contradictions and contradictions with the real world and give the victory vote in the story in favor of whoever he wants. Attar Neyshabouri's moral views and words in Persian poetry and prose are valuable and worthy for further reflection and more research. Though the mythical and linguistics characteristics of Attar's works have been mainly focused on, the moral and and didactic issues of his works, especially in his Muṣībat-Nāme, have been less researched on. This article is going to perform a content and statistical analysis of Muṣībat-Nāme. The research seeks to answer the following questions: which themes, moral contents, and advice are more outstanding in Attar's mystical view in Muṣībat-Nāme? and is Attar's mysticism close to practical wisdom? Attar's concern was to elaborate virtues and warning and forbidding vices. Ethical and humanizing issues in educational and mystical literature are frequently recounted in the journey of the main character, i.e. Fekrat as a seeker. These themes were good temperament, fraternity, kindness, reflecting on afterlife and destiny, belief in mortality, forgiveness, justice of the king and ruler, love, servitude, modesty, trivializing the lust, avoiding lies and greed, invitation to fellowship and contentment, learning wisdom, sincerity, friendliness, despising the world, condemnation of the world and the self, observance of moderation in affairs, tolerance and patience. While narrating the mystical allegory of the journey for self-knowledge, Attar did not neglect the educational and moral anecdotes; And as far as possible, in the section of short anecdotes of this mystical prose, he considered ethics, moral virtues and preaching to follow them, condemning moral vices and avoiding from them. Another result of this research is that the expression of advice and educational topics of the short anecdote section in these forty essays (destination) is usually consistent with that section. For instance, during the narration of the seeker's journey to the soil, he spoke of humility and modesty, and during the journey to visit prophet Ibrahim (the God’s friend), he spoke of friendliness, fraternity and friendship. One important result of this research is that most of Attar's educational and advisory verses have been in short anecdotes and the sayings of Old man to Fekrat the seeker have more mystical aspects. The study of structure of literary texts can show us the methods of creating concepts in those texts. One of the important genres in the Persian narrative literature is didactic stories. The most important duty of this type of literature is the transformation of moral meanings to readers. The authors of didactic texts employ stories relating to structures accommodated their teleological aims. This paper has introduced and investigated the structure and narrative patterns in the Persian didactic stories. Two types of narrative patterns have a basic function in the story interpretations are as following:  Firstly, the pattern of the actor’s obedience to the law and its award and secondly, the pattern of the actor’s refusing to law and its punishment. These patterns are deep structures in most of the didactic stories as well as a direction of interpretation of these stories. Therefore, the narrator’s interpretation is constructed on a linear story telling form which is congruous with one of these patterns. Considering the results of structural researches, this article aims at presenting the dominant patterns in perception of didactic stories. In this article we have investigated the function of these patterns on the plot development, narrative techniques and dominance of the conative function. Manuscript profile

Employing stories and anecdotes to express spiritual teachings and illustrating deep mystical concepts have long been practiced by the Persian-speaking poets and writers. In the meantime, sometimes we encounter stories that due to their structural and conceptual capacities, different narrations are presented about them. The story of Ibrahim Adham Repentance is one of them. Most of the mystical sources have pointed to his repentance. Mostamli Bokhari, Abul-Ghāsem Ghushairi, Hujwiri, Khwaja Abdullah Ansari, Attār of Nishapur, Jalāl ad-Dīn Rūmī and Kamal al-Din Hosein Ghazorghahi are the famous writers who have discussed the story. In the present article, the attempt is made to compare these narrations by using descriptive and analytic method. Based on fictional elements, the differences and similarities of eight narrations have been considered. The results show that in the narration of Attār of Nishapur actions are more than others; scenery is only seen in Attār's version, and in Tazkirat-al-Auliyā characterization is more prominent than otherseven narrations. Furthermore, Attār and Ghushairi emphasize dramatization of their own narrations while using proper dialogues and appropriate characters and situations.   Manuscript profile

Story writing has been one of the most widely used and popular ways of writing books over the centuries. Many writers have stepped in this valley and created valuable works, both in Persian and Arabic. The Majma 'al-Nawadir, written by Faiz al-Din Zeinolabedin Hesam Benbani (Zendeh 907 AH), is one of these valuable books which, according to the author himself, has been written on a new and new way in Persian by looking at the books of the predecessors in the end of Ijaz and Abbreviation. Among the most widely used sources of banbani are the prose of al-Der Waqiyat, written by Mansur b. Husayn Abi (cir; 345-422 AH), which is in Arabic and includes sayings, manners, rhetorical and delicate points. Considering the large number of common anecdotes as well as similar titles of these two works (Navader Metabain, Navader Tafilian, Navader Majanin, Teachers' Nevader, Women's Nevader, etc.) it seems. Banbani has paid attention to this book in the way of writing and dividing the Majma 'al-Nawadir, and the new way that Banbani claims to be, not merely an imitation of the prose he created according to this book. The manner in which persian works are not seen before banbani. In addition to translating anecdotes into Persian, Banbani has not limited himself to the blue method in al-Darr's prose in the use of anecdotes and titles, and has sometimes taken part in the structure of the anecdotes of this book or used the anecdotes under another title in the Majma 'al-Nawadir.   Manuscript profile

Forgiveness is among human and moral concepts which has highly been dealt with in our literary texts. It specially holds a prominent place in didactic and mystic works and has been in particular and individually referred to in some texts; contrary to expectations, however, there is no chapter dedicated specifically to this concept in the works created by Saadi. It has rather been briefly pointed out in his anecdotes. At first, he attributes this trait to the God and correlates it with the “concealing” attribute of the God. He, then, invites regnant in his aphorisms to show forgiveness. That might be the reason why the concept is more referred to in the first chapter (Kings’ Way of Life). As Saadi puts it, the kings, who often had erratic nature and handed down stiff sentences, mostly forgave disfavored through intermediation of third parties, considering an elegant speech or an epigram favored by his royal nature , a reply or reasoning by the disfavored or someone else or beholding a behavior exhibited by the disgraced. He attributes the trait to the God’s fellows as well and regarding Dervish ethics tells two anecdotes validating this statement. It is worthwhile mentioning that regardless of all his commendations concerning forgiveness, he believes that the kings sometimes offer forgiveness unduly and by mistake to oppressors and corrupt agents. Due to attachment to certain principles such as the supreme system of creation, determinism and fatalism, submission in faith and also because of the inclination towards endurance and idleness in behavior, mysticism fundamentally has not much objection to the present state of affairs however the fact is that in practice the complaint of the great sufi figures of their times and their people in general is not less significant than that of the other classes.  The root of these dissatisfactions should be sought in what factors?  The truth is that in many periods the country had undergone such agitation and turbulence that even great sufi figures had begun to raise their voices.  In addition to the worldliness and indifference towards religious teachings particularly oblivion of the remembrance of God from the mind, and tongue of people, and those in power in everyday life and formation of conflicts between fanatical groups, attachment to wealth and position by the religious authorities and certainly the sensitive temperament of sufi figures are among the influential factors causing dissatisfactions. Since antiquity people were attracted to tales and stories. From the simplest form to the most complicated novels of today, people were fascinated by the characters, and heroes, to witness life and come into contact with different modes of life and learn lessons from them.  In fact stories as much as history played a significant role in peoples’ upbringing and education.  In some instances even more than history since the worlds depicted in stories and the knowledge gained in pursuing the fate of its heroes could not be contained in history.  People are mostly fascinated by the actions of the characters since they could easily identify themselves with them.  The more real the characters, the more they appealed to the reader.  Irrespective of the fact whether the characters were active or passive, and what the angle of vision was in the story because it was related to peoples’ lives and experiences they were attractive. Therefore the most attractive stories among people were those that had the best character and theme and the best characters where those who took form from the society and its events. Looking at Golestan from this angle, that is the manner in which Saadi uses techniques of characterization to create characters consistent in their behavior, motivated in their action and are plausible or lifelike leads us to another characteristic of this masterpiece which renders it forever eternal and delightful.   Manuscript profile
