        If we do not call Sheikh Ajal, Saadi Shirin Sokhan, the lord of Persian poetry and literature, we should undoubtedly and without exaggeration consider him one of the brightest stars in the vast expanse of Persian language, literature and culture. As the great and pioneers of Persian literature know Saadi's words and expression as eloquence, rhetoric, simplicity and beauty, these characteristics have caused Sheikh Shiraz's words to continue to capture the hearts of his audience from all walks of life despite centuries of conquest. Saadi's poems are pleasant, concise and tangible for all Persian speakers. What has been exuded from Saadi's pen is in a beautiful word, and this beauty attracts Saadi's poetry. Saadi is a unique master of language, whether in the level of words and phrases, or in the method of effective and captivating sentences and endings, or in the use and invention of literary innovations and arrays, or in creative illustrations. Saadi connects all these great masters in composing poetry with his pure feeling, emotion and exemplary humanity, and according to his own words, if the speaker speaks, the reader will feel this unique beauty.         The most central character of mystical literature is "Pir", who has been mentioned by other titles such as Morshed, Morad, Vali, Sheikh, Ghotb, Ostad, Moghtada, Dalil Rah, Khezr, Rend, Pir Moghan, etc. In this article, we have sought to find out to what extent the literature of mystical poetry has used descriptive confrontations in identifying and introducing the old? And what are the aspects and elements most confronted with old age? The works of mysticism, especially Hadiqah al-Haqiqah Sanai, Mantiq al-Tair Attar, the spiritual Masnavi of Rumi, and the lyric poems of Hafez, have placed the old man with different personal and personal characteristics in front of different personalities and attributes. In the present article, the dual confrontations that have taken place in the works of mystical poems about the old with three approaches of characterization, conceptual metaphor and educational aspects and using structuralist criteria have been investigated. The achievement of the present study is that the mentioned poets have confronted different personalities and traits with the old man, in addition to highlighting and emphasizing his influence, to convey their personal and methodical experiences to the audience in the form of direct and symbolic messages. And tell the pure ways of the true elders from the false elders to its people, and fulfill their poetic mission and social method in this way, and at the same time add to the literary, original and aesthetic richness of their works.         One of the best indicators of intelligent behavior in human is the ability to utilize symbols (Gardner, 1999:24). Symbol is interrelated with the human’s conscious and subconscious mind and creates the language of myth and epic. The language of mythical and epic works is symbolic and mysterious. The major religions of our world have created ritual symbols to be able to set forth arguments in existential themes with their members. This study primarily sought to find out answers for the role of symbols in recreation of existential intelligence in body of Ferdowsi’s Shahnameh. Using an analytical-descriptive method and benefiting from library resources, this study made attempts to identify and extract ritual symbols in the Shahnameh; Finally, it was observed that existential intelligence is well represented in the light of symbols such as barsam and baj, hunting, marriage, burial, and celebration and wine by the Great Sage of Tus (Ferdowsi). No study has investigated the interrelationship among the symbols and the range of human’s intelligences rather the symbols used in Shahnameh have been studied most frequently. Therefore, this study is the pioneer in examining this untouched aspect. Manuscript profile
