Abstract :

The main purpose of this research is to investigate the impact of social capital as a latent capacity in good urban governance in Khoy city. Based on the purpose, this research falls into the category of applied research and, in terms of nature and method, it is descriptive-analytical researchData collection for this research was conducted both in the library and in the field. The statistical population of the research is the residents of Khoi city, which according to the official statistics of Iran Statistics Center (2016) has a population of 198,845 people. Using Cochran's formula, the sample size was determined to be 383, and the samples were distributed in a simple random manner within the range. The analysis of research data was carried out quantitatively using SPSS and Lisrel software. The analysis of research data has been carried out quantitatively using SPSS and Lisrel software. In this research, the Kolmogorov-Smirnov statistical tests were used to check the normality of the data, and linear regression tests and structural equations were used to examine the relationship between the two components of social capital as an independent variable and good urban governance as a dependent variable. The results of this research show that according to the linear regression test, the independent variable of social capital has a significant effect on good urban governance. Because the Beta value is positive and 0.716, it indicates a direct relationship with good urban governance. According to the results of the structural equations, all nine fit indices used in this research are accepted and indicate the fit of the proposed model. Additionally, the output results of this model indicate that social capital has a positive and significant effect on good urban governance. When people in a society have healthy and positive relationships and trust each other, it increases solidarity and cohesion in the society. This solidarity solidarity and positive interactions can lead to the strengthening of the urban governance system and the prevention of corruption and incompetence in government.
