All manuscripts submitted to Qualitative Research in Educational Sciences undergo a rigorous double- anonymized peer review process. Upon submission, each manuscript is first assessed by the editorial team for relevance to the journal’s aims and scope, methodological soundness, and adherence to ethical research standards.
If the manuscript meets these initial criteria, it is sent to at least two independent reviewers with expertise in the relevant field. Reviewers evaluate submissions based on originality, theoretical framework, clarity of research questions, methodological consistency, and potential contribution to educational knowledge and practice.
The peer review process is double-anonymized, ensuring that both authors and reviewers remain anonymous throughout. In cases of conflicting reviews, a third reviewer be consulted. Authors typically receive a first decision within 6–8 weeks.
The journal adheres to a strict conflict-of-interest policy and is committed to fair, unbiased, and constructive review. Final editorial decisions are made based on the reviewers’ comments and the manuscript’s alignment with the journal’s academic scope and standards. Authors are informed of the decision along with constructive feedback from the reviewers.
We prioritize transparency and accountability in our peer review procedures. Each article clearly displays the dates of submission, editorial decision, and final publication. Our review process strictly follows ethical publishing standards, ensuring objectivity, integrity, and the prevention of any potential conflicts of interest.
