Abstract :
This study aims to examine the leadership components based on values and provide a proper framework to promote the approach within the Islamic Azad University using a descriptive measurement method. The statistical population comprises the entire full-time faculty members of IAU, District # (over students) and a sample population of faculty members of this university. The instrument for collecting the data for the study comprised a researcher-made inventory examining the suitability of the proposed framework with five sections including: philosophy and the Aims, the Theoretical Bases of the Cognitive Network, the Executive Section and the Evaluation Section totaling components. The reliability of the study was estimated at using Coronbach Alpha. Also the face and content validities were approved by the supervisor, adviser and field specialists. In order to analyze the data, such statistical tools as used by descriptive Statistics: mean, standard deviation, variance as well as Inferential Statistics such as single-variable t-test and factor analysis were employed. The results supported components as the most important value-based leadership components. These components were placed under the six major components: Leadership Values critical to the status quo, Leadership qualifications, Self-management, Employees' Duties, Human Relations and Leadership Values in relation to students. Using the components identified, a suitable cognitive framework comprising five major sections was developed, every section of which exceeded the response scale in comparison with the presumed mean of .
