The Effect of "Vicky and Nicky" Educational Software on Creativity and Mathematics Academic Achievement

Abstract :
The purpose of the research was to study the effect of "Vicky and Nicky" educational software and the amount of creativity and mathematics academic achievement of fifth grade elementary school boy students in Birjand. The statistical population included all fifth-grade students in public schools in 2012. The research method was a quasi-experimental one. 60 students were selected as statistical sample that were divided into experimental and control group. The experimental group was taught for two months through educational software, but the control group was taught traditionally (teacher-base method). Abedi test of creativity and a researcher-made questionnaire were used to gather data. The data were analyzed through Covariance analysis. The results showed that "Vicky and Nicky" educational soft-ware had positive effect on creativity and math achievement of the fifth-grade elementary school students.
