Abstract :
Urban historical fabrics play a crucial role in linking the past with the present and future and possess substantial potential for the sustainable economic development of cities. However, these areas face numerous threats, making their protection and regeneration essential. In this regard, urban regeneration as an integrated approach and urban tourism as a dynamic industry play a pivotal role in revitalizing and strengthening historical fabrics. This study aims to examine the statistical relationships between the dimensions of urban regeneration (physical, environmental, social, economic, and institutional) and the indicators of sustainable tourism development in the historical fabric of Khorramabad. The research is applied in purpose and explanatory in nature. Using a mixed-methods approach, data were collected through documentary studies and questionnaires. Simple random sampling was employed, and the data were analyzed using SPSS software and Pearson correlation tests. The findings reveal positive, significant, and relatively strong relationships between most dimensions of urban regeneration and sustainable tourism development indicators. In particular, strong correlations in the environmental and physical dimensions highlight the necessity of an integrated and cross-sectoral approach to the regeneration of this historical fabric.
