The aim of the present study is to investigate the effect of self-expression education on increasing self-differentiation in female junior school students. The population consisted of all students studying at one of the schools located in the first region of Tehran.  A sample of 32 was selected through multistage sampling technique. The data gathering instrument was self-differentiation questionnaire. The experimental group received ten 90-minute sessions of self-expression education. The control group received no instruction. Covariance was used to analyze the results. The self-differentiation of subjects who had received self-expression education had significant increase. The level of emotional reactivity among the experimental group was significantly low. The level of interpersonal infusion among the experimental group was lower to a significant level. There was no significant difference in emotional escape between the experimental and control group. It was also true in terms of self-status. Manuscript profile

The present study aims at investigating the role of vocational high school curriculum in empowering educable mentally retarded students. The effect if each component of curriculum (purpose, content, duration, and evaluation) on vocational empowerment component (general and social skills, self-management, self-sufficiency, economic sufficiency, and vocational empowerment) was studied.  The statistical population included all administrative officials, curriculum designers, teachers, and employers in Qazvin. A sample (223) was selected through randomization.  The data gathering instruments were two researchers-made questionnaires based on 1-10 Likert scale.  The results showed that administrative officials and curriculum designers regarded the curriculum effective in increasing general and social skills, self-management, self-sufficiency, economic sufficiency, and vocational empowerment. However, according to teachers, and employers the curriculum has little effect on promoting the skills. It can be argued that teachers and employers as implementers of the curriculum are more reliable source to evaluate the program. As a result, administrative officials, curriculum designers are recommended to revise the existing programs Manuscript profile

Using self-determination theory, the authors tested a motivational model to explain the conditions under which influenced on the school performance of rural students. The model argues that internal motivational variables underlie school performance and that students’ motivation can be either supported in the classroom by autonomy-supportive teachers or frustrated by controlling teachers. LISREL analyses of questionnaire data from 365 rural high school students showed that the degree of perceived value of schooling predicted students’ self-determined motivation and perceived competence. The provision conditions of autonomy support within classrooms predicted perceived competence and students’ school performance directly Manuscript profile

In inferential statistics section, Wilcoxon test, kruskal – vallis test,  and U Mann – Whitney test were used to investigate any existing differences among goups. The findings show that active teaching method is more effective in promoting creative thinking because it provides more learning opportunities and experience, and encourages discovery learning.
